I think you’ll find that NOBODY knows better than Ruby, thank you very much. It's a vital part of learning, to be checked and corrected by someone who knows the subject better than you do.

During/after covid, therapists realised they can utilise zoom for accessibility for patients with high anxiety or other disabilities that can make it harder/not possible for them to visit in person. It also can be used for people who live further away but want or need to see a specific therapist. I see my therapist via zoom (before covid I was seeing her in person) but since Ruby regularly traverses the globe with no issue I don’t see there being any reason for zoom sessions other than laziness or not wanting travel and waiting time to eat into her pretend productivity timeShe briefly mentioned her appointment with her therapist, but not sure why it would still be remote. There is no need for that. Most therapists would prefer to see you in person.
She tries sooo hard to be 6 years old.'Wellies for the puddles'

Sigh.
Thank you for the recap of the 1984 incident!Ruby posted a quote from 1984 as though it were a cheerful ode to the joys of reading. She missed the point entirely and didn't seem to grasp that 1984 is a satire or that the quote wasn't intended as a positive until many people pointed it out to her. Most people quickly realised she hadn't read the book at all.

She got roasted for it and then made it worse with a moronic follow-up post where she confirmed that she hadn't even read 1984, had just grabbed a random quote from Goodreads, and her getting the very clear meaning of Orwell's writing completely wrong was okay ACKSHUALLY, because the quote could be interpreted many ways.
But she hasn't learned from that experience and keeps doing it time and time again. She'll blatantly just Google "literary quotes about [blank]" and slap them on an Instagram post to appear like her mind is an endless stockpile of memorised passages from books she's read, and every time she screws something up and gives away that she never reads any of what she claims.
She has a new "GAT RADDY WITH ME" TikTok up in which she promotes the planner launch with the exact same spiel as every other time:View attachment 2373165
What does she mean, she can't believe they're launching today? If she were really in charge of the company, she would have been in charge of the launch. She's been making these planners for years, it shouldn't have come as some sort of amazing surprise. She sounds like a little schoolgirl, not like a grown-up woman in charge of her own professional business.
https://www.youtube.com/@emmiereads Canadian booktuber that is very down to earth and finishing her 4 year degree. She likes classics, but she doesn't pretend to like every classic like Ruby does. My only criticism of Emma is that sometimes she rates books that are seen as "trashy" low even if she enjoyed reading them. She used to do a lot more nature walks, but her bf got a job in Toronto, so they live in the city now. She still takes frequent trips home when there's a lot more mountains and greenery because she really enjoys being out in nature.Hi, lurker here, sorry for asking this out of the blue, but can you guys recommend other youtubers who have a similar aesthetic to Ruby's without being as frustrating as she is? I mean stuff like fountain pens, long country walks, vintage books with yellowed pages, etc
I imagine it's because despite living together at uni, they spent very little extended time together. Blakeney got to escape to see other friends (when Ruby wasn't inviting herself along and claiming them as her own friends) and had her own extracurricular jobs, while Ruby ran home for extended periods of time every week.Re: Recent Rube the tube's lengthy trip to Italy can someone explain why was she nervous travelling with her best friend? Am I missing something? Why was she nervous? I mean as she constantly tells us she was going with her bestest friend who she lived with whilst at Uni. She's more irritating than a gnat in a tent.
And, most importantly, I assume that if someone points out you're doing something wrong, you act like an adult about it instead of reacting like an 8 year old being bullied on the playground.I'm not pretending any kind of brilliance but I do know what a candlestick is. I am able to pronounce most words as they should be said. I can make a cuppa without noise or mess. I can bake or cook things without burning them.
I came here to write this! I've just spent the last couple of weeks searching around to find reasonable travel and accomodation to visit Edinburgh next year, off-peak, for the first time. Still not cheap, then you have Ruby who gets gifted (and paid) for a second trip!it irritates me to no end that throw money at english influencers like ruby to send them up to the fringe when we have plenty of scottish creators here who could do an infinitely better job. i’m sure jean menzies has been mentioned in the threads before but she’s from edinburgh and actually cares about the areas of history she specialises in & content she puts out.
I hereby predict that it will contain the clip from the singular occasion she studied in the library at Exeter.I hereby wager that it will contain that clip of her with the pale blue shirt and hair in ponytail, where she is in a seminar class from her school days. I bet it will be part of a montage showing her studying in several locations.
If it is not included I may actually be disappointed.
Fair enough, unless taxis are prohibitively expensive where you live (like they would be for me). Also Roobee’s job (such as it was) took place in the middle of the day, not at night. At a very walkable distance, too.Regarding her most recent video, I don't see an issue taking the taxi to and from work? I work nights and I don't drive. Also, I hate walking home in the dark so I book a taxi to pick me up when I finish my shift. I really dont see the issue?
