She had a shower, got in her PJs then went in the garden barefoot? Do we think she washed her feet before she got into bed?
To be fair, the inside of the house isn’t any better. I bet she’s one of those people who thinks feet magically get clean on their own in the shower. Short answer: no.

I can’t make it past 4 minutes of this new video. At the age of 23, she really needs to let go of her fixation on school. This video would have performed way better if she’d of said something about preparing for Oxford rather than “back to school”.

As normal, her suggestions and tips are all just busy work. Who has the time to sit down and write all of their “key ideas” after every class. Most students have classes back-to-back!

I always cringe so much to imagine one of her family members filming her as she does this.

Having a biscuit tin under her bed, considering the state of the floor there (remember the 2 metres long dust hare under there? It was way too big to call it a dust bunny) is so gross. I know the biscuits are in the tin but still. And eating biscuits on her bed just adds biscuit crumbs to the filth. Their house must be crawling with ants considering it's on the ground floor, old and dirty.

This is evil of me but the way Ruby has been pumping out all of these videos because she's sponsored is...scummy. It shows that money talks. If she wasn't sponsored she'd probably make one AWXFAWD video per month.

And this is just straight up nasty

WHAT on earth is this weird shifty eyed expression she keeps doing?! it drives me bonkers

also, does anyone get annoyed at the way she says “this day”? she’s constantly saying shit like “i went to the shop this day” when i swear you would need to say “ON this day”

She writes a to-do list to remind herself that she has to write another to-do list. 🤦‍♀️😂
It's like the movie Inception, but with multiple layers of to-do lists instead of dreams.

She is the only person who does a new academic year prep video and talks about fountain ink, typewriters, and then an iPad unboxing all in the same video. It's like she can't figure out what aesthetic she is. A used iPad just weirds me out, I'm not sure why though.
It weirds me out too, but only because she went out of her way in a previous video to say that the iPad Pro was vastly overrated, and that a regular one was all you needed. Also I call bs on her actually using the typewriter. She’s hauled it out of its cobwebby cave for videos maybe twice.

Here's me thinking that a holiday reset, an incredibly indulgent process to have and keep multiple times a year anyway, would include things like catching up on emails, getting ready for work (or her pretend work), washing clothes, watering plants, etc. Instead she's printing photos and writing to herself.

I don't think my boss will give a shit about me not being at my most productive past 1 pm but still, that's a super idea. I'll go and let them know that I'd rather work a 10-1 and still get paid the same salary ✌

Just watched her latest video on preparing for back to school university.

I genuinely can't see any other outcome for Ruby other than training as a teacher after her Masters. She is so clearly bizarrely emotionally attached to the academic year. How on earth would she work a normal 9-5 where September is just another normal month????!

The fact that she hasn't done any reading for this course suggests to me that did not want to do this period of study and instead wanted to do a Masters in either the 1830-1914 course or the 1900-present course.
There’s also zero chance she’s actually reading any of the works listed. She’s going to be copying character lists and plot summaries from Sparknotes. The most any of her primary texts are going to be getting is a quick skim and a page flag for any passages referenced as being of particular importance in the summaries she reads.

RE her obsession with Blakeny, I think it's possible that Ruby is on the autism spectrum (although obviously she could be autistic and queer). I can't remember what it's called but I read recently that it's quite common for autistic people to become fixated on certain people, not necessarily in a romantic way. I'm autistic and thought I was bi for a long time growing up because of how much I admired certain girls, but I later realised it wasn't romantic or sexual attraction, just idolisation essentially. I think if Ruby was an undiagnosed autistic it would explain why she keeps 'trying on' different roles and personalities, e.g trying to act like various fictional characters. But this is just speculation, there could be many many reasons why Ruby acts the way she does

I was just curious as I'm currently do a history Mlitt as I focus on the early modern period like what Ruby will be doing for the course , so I've done some archive work for assignments but not as much as Ruby is making out that she will be doing.

She does speak about the archives as if she will be there all the time and it will fit into the dark academia aesthetic. I can see her thinking that she is going to discover something brand-new in the archives that's not been found before ect.

I do remember going to the archives for the dissertation last year even though all of her sources were already published and she spent more time looking at suffragette letters and going on about how she was amazed a letter was written in a hurry ECG.

I feel as if she might be a bit disappointed as archive work can be very dry and not to mention the paleography (handwriting) can be difficult to transcribe, and sometimes it can take ages and the document isn't even that useful! That is a soul destroying moment!

She might also be disappointed where she is given a digital copy of the document than the real one for the means of conversation. Plus for some reason with how scruffy Ruby is, I would want to keep her away from 16th century documents for their protection !
All of this.

First thing our supervisor said to us was: “Don’t expect to discover any new material in the archive but do expect to piece together new theories about what you’ll find in the archive.”

‘Ol Rubes is in for an awakening.

I just watched her Week in My Life video. Apparently "vegan picnic-ing" is a hobby, as opposed to simply just "picnic-ing". It's still a picnic, Ruby. 🙄

The danger is that it detects essays that are hand written by students as AI, so it's not safe at all, do not use it (I'v got flagged wrongly) ! There is no safe AI detector as or now. They best way to avoid ChatGPT as a teacher is to work through steps (meaning, for each essay/thesis, they have to hand an outline, an introduction etc each week for instance) and with paper as much as you can
Uni teacher friends of mine have said that you start to recognise the style of ChatGPT (same as you would when a student plagiarises somebody else's essay or uses material that they found online). It is just vastly different from what the student could or would write.
I now even see it for a Youtuber I follow, she writes reactions to comments with ChatGPT.
