Perhaps already posted but Mother Bones went to Granada. Two of her friends got food poisoning, the original return flight was cancelled due to a storm, security made her dump her newly purchased bottle of olive oil, and there was a medical emergency on board with paramedics awaiting their arrival at Heathrow. Some relatively minor scrapes by her standards.

Exactly. A Passage to India's closing lines are beautiful and my favourite of any book, and it's defo up there in my top 5. it's an absolute masterpiece -- at uni we've literally spent an entire 1hr supervision just on its opening page. I just don't understand why she's dismissing Forster when she obvi hasn't read him properly and when the turn of the century, modernist and war contexts have clearly gone over her head...

this is a bit petty but in the maurice vid she said 'oh was it set in cambridge or oxford i cant remember'.. just so disingenuous the book mentions cambridge by name so many times it's just so weird why she has to shoehorn oxford into everything.

If she really "cannot remember", then she probably only skim-read the book at best.

And the saddest thing... She got her olive oil confiscated!

In her latest vlog she comes across as a hyperactive maniac, living in filth. She spoke so fast and the video was so choppy, including the jumpy camera work, that I couldn't even understand her half the time. The whole video came across as rushed and chaotic. Messy nails, messy desk with super unorganized drawers, computer screen with dots all over it, like she sneezed or spit all over it, rickety chair outside, tablecloth not smoothed out and looks like it was haphazardly thrown on the table, messy flyaway hair, sloppy room, rushed ending because her heart was obviously not into filming. She never told us what modules she picked out, which probably means she hasn't the slightest idea, but heads straight to Latin, even though she has already abandoned learning the language. Let's forget that summer is already half over and here in the US many students will actually be going back to uni in a few weeks. Beware...she is planning another tea party. She is such a train wreck and Oxford hasn't even begun yet! What on earth is she having blood test for, at her age?

I cannot fathom her leaving starting on the MA reading as late as possible.

If she told a Dr she was "tired" they would do a general set of blood tests that would include iron levels. Given the ED traits she demonstrates, diet related anemia is one possible result.

Right after posting a vlog about her after work routine she flies away to Florence.
God forbid she spends too long on one routine.
Also, she really must have cut ties with productivity, because she's barely doing any work.

Ruby seems to have missed multiple opportunities to show a "Prep for [X type of] holiday routine" video or "Pack with me for [insert holiday here] videos.

Ruby truly inherited her photography skills from her mother 🥱 It’s honestly impressive that Mother Granger managed to make the colours of the city look so bland, the food disgusting and her “favourite Spanish city” look boring all-around.

Doesn't surprise me at all if Ruby asked Blakney for a wardrobe list of what she was planning to wear on holiday and replicated it. She was copying Blakey's outfits when she was in uni as well and was wearing things like dungrees and kind of a costal aesthetic. Her copying of people doesn't just extend to fictional people like Hermonie and Matilda .

I do wonder what ruby would be like as a friend at times, partly as I do wonder how childish she is off camera. I think that she doesn't have many friends and would rather like friends who were just like her than just anyone. I think that she would be disapproving if you were doing something like drinking alcohol ect.

I think that Blakney must be very patient, but she is very different from Ruby and seems more worldly as she's done jobs, she written a book for charity and did university socials and got good grades as well. But she must get the perks of being friends with am influencer as well and get herself the freebies from what Ruby has been gifted as well for compensation of being Ruby's best friend.

Just as she has a fake accent when she talks in her videos, I wouldn't surprised to hear that she also acts differently and isn't that childish. After all she started her channel with videos showing her playing a role, so why not?
At least I hope it's that and that she is more functional that we think.

Sorry, folks, I know this is not the right place to share this, but I will anyway since you have been keeping me company in the past months, you really are distracting me from my terrible job situation

Seeing Ruby being so confident about her bad writing and selling her poetry anthology made me realize that I have nothing to lose and that what is really blocking me in my creative expression is my insecurity so... I submitted a poem to an independent literary magazine (and it has been accepted and I just received a printed copy!!!!!!!!!) and now I am working on my own poetry zine (just like Ruby )!
Mind you, I am far from being a literary genius... but this is making me so happy and energized!!!
I want to thank all of you: it was you (and Ruby) who gave me the confidence to give it a try!

Ruby did say she was straight in a video (with Martha), which I think is worth bringing up? People have said the same and later said/acted differently, of course, but I didn't sense any falsity when she said it.

There are…many reasons, honestly, why I think Ruby might be queer. I’ve been hesitant to comment on it because I’ve seen people sort of skirting around the topic on previous threads. But it seems like fair game now, yes. I hope it’s not causing her pain if she is struggling with her sexuality (as much as I think she’s awful, I don’t wish that on anyone).
