It's like Michael Jackson befriending children. Even if he said there were no sinister intentions, writing to them, befriending them and liking them for their "innocence" is something I can very much see Ruby doing. Her old school should not be her own version of Neverland.To be fair, creepy ≠ automatic n, and I don’t think anyone is suggesting that she is one either.
However, Ruby has an extremely unhealthy interest in childhood which has in the past lead her to befriend minors online / encourage younger viewers to contact her, and I just there is always something creepy about an adult who seems to prefer the company of kids over people their own age, regardless of their intentions. She isn’t getting paid to go to her old school, she hasn’t been invited there, and from the way she has spoken about it, it seems like the purpose of her visit is to see students rather than her old teachers.
It's not such a big deal. When you're in school perhaps and may help with your UCAS applications to get into uni but as soon as you've left, nobody cares. I certainly wouldn't be putting it on job applications or as a crowning life achievement.I never knew being head girl is such a big deal in the UK? in my home country we have something like head boy/head girl, but I would say 90% of students don't care at all who that is, is it really true that most student look up to "their" head girl?
Not really. At my school we had a head girl and two deputies and although it’s was a long and hard process to be appointed, once the novelty of being awarded the position wore off none really cared. We had a couple of sixth form events which the head girls organised and they ran school counsel meetings but often nothing really came of them. The biggest change a head girl made was having a slide show of the week’s headlines shown every Friday. just to reiterate what others have said it really isn't it just looks good when you go off to college and maybe uni, I went to a comprehensive so obviously it might be different but all I remember my head girl doing was giving a really long speech at prom and making us say grace despite not being a religious school and I can't remember a thing about the head girls before her. I’m sure she has Mother Granger helping her with the filming, and they’re also using the drone.I'm just imagining how awkward this would be to film? Like, setting up a camera outside, going into your room, leaning out the window and looking around, then going back outside to take back the camera. It's so unnatural.
Facts, Ruby isn’t going back to her school to give talks out of the kindness of her heart, she wants to do it because there is something about doing it which makes her feel really good. Whether it’s about enjoying being surrounded by young people and pretending she is still a kid, or whether it’s about massaging her ego and boosting her superiority complex, it’s 100% all about her.I'm 100% sure there's no sexual motive to Ruby's interactions with young teenagers but she's still using young people for her own wish fulfillment under the guise of "helping" or "mentoring" them. It's not for their benefit, it's entirely for hers.
