There is, in the first few threads on Ruby Granger, a user who has done an absolutely hysteric breakdown of each chapter of that book. I recc going back and having a look at those.
The summaries are also linked in the wiki at the top of the page!

She promised an academic planner setup video for ”this evening” but I guess she had better things to do.

It's because Ruby doesn't really have anything to do now but she still has to feel productive. She can't allow herself to relax.
At the moment I'm not doing anything because I just finished my exams, I'm not working, and it's too soon to start studying for the exams I'll have in September, so I'm kinda just hanging out at home every day now until next week when I'm going on holiday. I don't really have anything productive to do other than doing housework and keeping up with my French. But since I worked my butt off the rest of the year and I'm not a productivity freak I can just enjoy the free time and spend most of the day relaxing without feeling guilty or horrible about myself.
Ruby is in a similar situation and will be for the rest of her gap year, so now she just fills her to-do list with dumb routine stuff just to feel productive when she can check it off. She was doing it before but now I imagine it'll get even worse because she doesn't really have anything else on her to-do list.
it'll all be writing stuff when in reality her writing is nonsense and requires absolutely no planning.

She spent so much time on making to-do lists about making videos and making TikToks about ADDITING that she had no time for actual making videos or editing.

Academic planner video now expected 6 months after the planner launch. The upside for Ruby is that people still won't have actually received their planners by then, so the video will still be relevant.

Her TikTok is the stuff of nightmares. A thousand Roobees, all bodychecking, waving books/tea/both, and weirdly enunciating just slightly out of sync with each other.

And everything she does on there just seems wildly out of touch with the booktok audience/creator sphere she's trying desperately to latch onto.

Add "booklook" to the endless list of things which Ruby does not understand.

To Ruby, "booklook" apparently means: "Look at this book (which I haven't read)! And also look at this fashion disaster outfit, which has no discernible connection to the book's appearance or content!"

P.S. I'm still not over Ruby talking with a mouthful of tea because she couldn't swallow the undeclared, gifted crap she was shilling.

I think it might be my new all-time favourite moment of deranged Ruby stupidity.

If she reads so much she even reads while brushing her teeth, she’s clearly a very slow reader… not many books there Roobee

I love this Ruby collage so much. The awkward ''yoga'' still gets me. 😂 Truly a sign that she is not fully human. Ghost Ruby truthers, unite!

Yeah, I think she's trying to attach herself to the booktok trends as a marketing strategy. Become well-known on booktok and you'll have a wider audience for your writing - I'm guessing Ruby's looking for the viral, word-of-mouth success of We Were Liars, etc. Has the response to her TikTok presence been positive, mixed, bad?

Seems like 40% blindly adoring fans heaping the usual praise, 35% former viewers who had forgotten she existed until she invaded their FYP and 25% people openly roasting and laughing at her.

Argh why does she not stick to an upload schedule, I’m out walking and won’t be home for another 2-3 hours. (Tattling while walking is one of my rare and special gifts though)

Her to-do lists are so strange to me, I know a lot of neuro divergent people have to write very specific to-do lists because they forget things etc so this isn't a comment on that but Ruby has said herself she is neuro typical (whether she is or not is a conversation for another day) but why does she have to specify "get up, make bed, have shower" these are surely second nature so she doesn't need to tick it off and doing them isn't 'productive' (again, if you're struggling to get out of bed then these are achievements but this isn't Rubys case) I feel like she just likes to tick things off but in the process it's making her and her fans feel rubbish when they aren't productive when in reality 80 percent of the stuff on her to-do lists arn't productive
I see this a lot with the planning content- that people fill these planners with random crap to make them look full for the aesthetic rather than their actual to-do lists. I saw one on pinterest that had "Paint Nails" on every single day, clearly to fill up space

Does anyone else think that 260 pages is too many pages for an academic planner. I was just looking at how many pages the average planner has and I found that this planner only has 192 pages yet Ruby's has 68 more pages.

I just had a look at her Goodreads. No surprise she didn't like the Baricco lol. I haven't read Ocean Sea but I've read some of his other books. She probably thought it's a nice beach read - why would it have ocean in the title otherwise - and didn't see "psychological, existential, erotic" in the blurb. She comes across like such a little puritan child that I literally can't picture her reading anything that's not for kids. I'd wager she'd be uncomfortable with a challenging middle grade. Oh to be a (dead) fly on the wall when she reads These Violent Delights!

If she loves creative writing so much and wanted to be an author for SO LONG why didn’t she go study creative writing?
