Since when does Ruby drink coffee?
She started about a week or two ago.
And now it'll be her new personality - we'll probably get a lecture about how to drink coffee in the inevitable Italy video she'll post next week.

eh, i don't know about unhinged. that particular caption seems pretty cogent and like a step in the right direction (that is, if she can actually do what she's saying she'll do)
she intends to keep doing what she's always done, she says. and I believe that.
"I AM ITALIAN. MY MAIN GOAL IS TO BE AN ITALIAN. I MUST DRINK ESPRESSO EVERY DAY TO BE ITALIAN"
while also trying to "step outside of that sometimes", which surely can't hurt?
but i do agree it's hard to hold much hope. this anti "toxic productivity" spiel she rolls out does often just seem like a facade over a facade over a facade
I am glad she's asking for recommendations on Italian literature though. Perhaps she finally realized there is a world of foreign literature that is just as good as English literature.
Il giorno della civetta (The Day of the Owl) is quite a famous novel but I've never actually read it myself. I know it's about the Sicilian mafia but not much else.
I've read a few of the Andrea Camilleri/Montalbano books someone recommended to her, and really enjoyed them. They're detective novels though, so probably not her type of thing (though I think he also wrote historical fiction before he started the Montalbano series).
This comes across as oddly braggy, too - like she’s just SYO DRIVEN AND FOCUSED that she doesn’t have time to make normal everyday observations and let her mind wander the way us peasants do, unless she completely switches off
Okay this may sound stupid but is she just telling us she’s the brand founder or does she have to declare it if she’s posting content and it’s in shot? I’ve never known her to say that before so I’m confused

Finally something age appropriate, 2022 appropriate. I love this dress and I wish I had the confidence and body to wear something like this. But I agree with someone else who mentioned her hair.. It needs a desperate major cut!I just realised I'm assuming Penultimate is male, but I don't think we know that for sure? Hope they're not family, can you imagine?! They've probably gone to Italy to escape.
For anyone without Instagram, here's the white dress we were talking about. It's one of the nicest things I've seen Ruby wear.

Interesting. We can see some rocky fragments in that photo but no cucumbers. They must have shrunk.
It also comes of as completely disingenuous. She's telling everyone she's finally learned to switch off completelely, yet has spent most of her holiday posting about how she’s working. She's taken a selection of prop books that she won't read with her so she can spend the whole week posing for staged photos to keep up her fabricated persona on Instagram. If you spend your whole holiday actively performing a role for your online followers, that's not switching off.
She's said it before, and it's how PONKIN' PRODOCKTIVTEA's site refers to her. Because she has almost zero involvement with the company. Her management team own and run it, Ruby's just a glorified marketing intern. There's a reason Ruby has never done a video detailing what she actually does with the company.
Ruby bounces back and forth between falsly bragging that she owns and runs the brand and downplaying her role entirely depending on the weather or how much controversy the company's currently generating.
