To pull the thread back on topic a bit: what is Ruby going to do now? Full disclosure, I don't hate Ruby. I find her content cosy and nice, and it's been interesting to watch someone at a similar point in their life to mine. But I find myself wondering what next. I've noticed a lot of the things in her content that a lot of people here (who harbour a lot more vitriol towards her than I do) such as her regression after moving back in (and her weightloss 
)
Her childishness is something I more or less like. I think that embracing ones inner child in order to extract more enjoyment from the world is never a bad thing, and if you find it cringe we shall just have to agree to disagree. However, I do think it has already started to get in the way of her content. I came back to her recently, and looking over her last year or two of content that I missed, I was rather startled to find back to school content, morning "routines" and "whats in my bag" videos. For a student entering her fourth year of higher education that is not so much childish as juvenile. I grew out of a lot of this during first year.
It makes me wonder what her content is going to be, now. She's made a brand on being this "relatable cosy smart study girl" but like, it's clear from reading these threads and even just having watched her house announcement when it went out that this isn't who she is. I think she worries that, if she starts to drop this persona, she will start to drop her viewership. I don't think that would happen. I would definitely be a more consistent watcher of her content if she just relaxed into being her privileged self a bit more and stopped pretending. While she was at university, maintaining this persona was still feasible, as a lot of us (myself until recently included) didn't pick up on the inconsistencies and issues that showed she wasn't painting the full picture. However, now she has left, I can't see her "study-life" being at all realistic without considerable tweaks?
You guys say a lot of stuff I find thoroughly objectionable, and a bit mean, but you also have good points every now and again.

my apologies, I've just read what FolderDuvet posted above and my post echos entirely what they have said. Glad to know it's quite generalised over the English University system.

Bit off-topic but on the subject of BookTubers, does anyone have any good ones they like to watch? I know of Steph Bohrer who I've been meaning to start watching. I love YA/New Adult but I feel like this thread has opened my eyes to how many BookTubers just... don't have much to say about what they're reading lol.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. B&B is the worst tea I've ever tried. The ONLY flavours which actually taste like something, are the biscuit one and the mint chocolate one. All the other ones just taste like extremely watered down tea, no matter how long you brew it for. I even brewed several teas for much longer and it was so bitter I had to throw it. A massive waste of money. You'll find better quality tea in Sainsbury's/Tesco/etc!
an upper second class honours in the UK is a 2:1, the second highest degree classification, and is generally what is required for most graduate schemes and further education. As for the time it takes to write the dissertation, I did a STEM degree at undergraduate and we were given 5 months to do ours, but that included having to do all the ethics stuff (as we weren't allowed to start anything without this), create and distribute questionnaires, analyse data and then the writeup. I never followed Ruby during her dissertation writing process so I couldn't comment what hers would've entailed. As for the writeup, mine took me about 2 weeks to write from start to finish, however some students can write their dissertation in as little as a few days... (not recommended!)I tried to find out what my grade is in UK terms.don't know why but I was curious. it's an upper second something? at least my bachelor's, but I'm slightly better now in my master's and I'm still working on my thesis, so I'm not finished yet. It takes 6 months to write a master's thesis, 3 for a bachelor's thesis (I don't know if it's different in UK?).
and at the end, it shouldn't matter what grade you got. my husband, for example, got his job thanks to Xing and because of his interests and knowledge. but we live in a world where we constantly compare each other, "thanks" to social media it's easier than 20 years ago. I'm proud of what I've achieved so far and you all should be proud, because you know how you got that far. (I hope that sounds motivational. Maybe I should work as a motivational coach?)

I'm the same but with tea!!This isn't really related but drinking coffee actually makes me so hungry, like one time I had to go bang on the door of my school's cafeteria and ask for a granola bar after it was closed because I'd just had coffee and my stomach kept growling in class lol.
Anyway I think her caption should be "because coffee is my identity now" because just suddenly liking coffee after abhorring it for years makes it pretty obvious why it's her new dead horse to beat.

probably that if 2 out of 4 are rubies, it would be unbelievable. I don’t know anything about brit unis tho but i heard that exetar is basically a plan c or something soo that might be the point
