Her ideas of bullying are so bizarre like firstly no, I just can’t imagine a bunch of private school girls going round dashing rocks and slapping people up. Secondly, if you’re gonna write a realistic book about bullying in 2022 then 90% of it needs to be happening over snapchat, insta, tiktok or roblox lmaoSorry I know that having rocks thrown at you is really scary if it happens in real life but it sounds so cartoonish in that extract that I can't help but laugh.
The actual fuck is a ‘would be smile’Absolutely. She's had nothing but free time to fill with busywork over the past 4 years and has taken a suspicious interest in YA contemporaries/YA mysteries over the past year. She's more than capable of hammering away with hours of busywork filling a document with words, stolen plot points, a self-insert protagonist and yet more rehashed Erimentha Parker bullying fetish nonsense.
But it's more than likely thousands of words of pure drivel. The fact that she's moved onto another project when the current one is still a complete fucking mess even after numerous rounds of revisions is hilarious. The sections she was happy to show of Lottie Parton were atrocious. I dread to think what the quality of the pages she kept hidden were like.
The samples she showed in that new video don't appear to be anywhere near publishable.

She claims this is her final draft before her agent sends the book out on submission to publishers, but the writing is riddled with garbled sentence structure and punctuation errors - she's just finished an English Lit degree and wants to be an author, and she's still completely unaware of how punctuation works. The description is written by someone who doesn't seem to have a functioning brain or the ability to picture even a basic scene. How the fuck does someone shake their head "ambiguously", or see someone's fingers throbbing at all, let alone from across a room?
Either her agent didn't flag any of that, or Ruby's just ignoring them, writing a new variety of shit every time and assumes she's right. The plot is quite literally just recycled chunks from Erimentha Parker - a snooty little Ruby clone with vaguely-defined OCD/germaphobia has a bunch of evidence on the school bullies she's printed and compiled in a dossier folder, because that's normal in the digital age. But when called into the office and given a chance to snitch, she doesn't, and keeps her evidence on deck for later. Didn't this exact thing happen in Erimentally Deficient?
Ruby Granger #8 Government checks, body checks, and yet no privilege checks
Does anyone know what her dads job is? Other than being a full time tax avoider thought he was a stockbroker?tattle.life
Check out @Auga 's glorious recap of Erimentha to see that it did indeed - she even used very similar wording. Lottie shakes her head "ambiguously". Erimentha is "deliberately vague" to hide what happened. She has zero imagination.
But Ruby's already stuck a fork in this and moved on to the next disaster. As much as I'd love to see another of her books get published just so we can read and roast them, no way will any of this shit she's writing get sold without a ghost writer. Her agent would be crazy not to drop her as soon as possible.
I've read it, I quite liked it. It's sort of magical realism I guess you could call it?Those Lottie extracts were so dull. Not 'so bad it's funny'....just boring.
Have you read it? Sounds intriguing.

Nah, she can afford it.Am i the only one who saw her new iMac and thought 'daddy's money'?
i don't fully believe she was able to afford it on her own. those things are like 2 thousand in the uk. I think

My mistake, the base model is 1200 at least. depends on which specs you go for
She has that much money and doesn't even do much?Nah, she can afford it.

(that’s not her address btw, it’s probably the accountant she uses, nobody go stalk an innocent accountant I’M LOOKING AT YOU PENULTIMATE)
It's the same as Erimentha when Ruby wrote that. She clearly has no experience with or knowledge of bullying despite her obsession with it. The "bullies" in that book went around doing hilariously unbelievable shit to the protagonist, like hacking her hair off (which somehow goes unnoticed by parents and teachers), stabbing her with needles, knocking her unconscious and putting her in the hospital with a shot from a stray tennis ball somehow, and shoving her hands in flour (Gasp! How dare they!).Sorry I know that having rocks thrown at you is really scary if it happens in real life but it sounds so cartoonish in that extract that I can't help but laugh.
Oh, my sweet summer child.Am i the only one who saw her new iMac and thought 'daddy's money'?

Let’s make it clear though - if it weren’t for Daddy Bones’ money, she never could have gotten started on youtube, never could have coasted through her uni years without a job nor any thought of getting one, etc. Privilege ALLLLL the way.Oh, my sweet summer child.
Razor-farts Ruby isn't a twist I expected from this thread but I have no notes. Flawless.R.I.P. chair?-2022

my personal headcanon is that she just plain farted it to death, and you can’t convince me otherwise
OMG, yes it did! A sequel to The Evidence Folder of Precociousness! And you are right, it seems like it is being kept for later in the same weird way. Not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with keeping such a dossier. In fact, it's the single only decent piece of anti-bullying advice in the entirety of the book, which generally gives out pretty bad messages about dealing with bullies.
For those that didn't read Erimonster, it is basically a vehicle for i) the character to receive as much praise as possible and ii) the character to call the reader's attention to this fact as much as possible. We see teachers praise her. We see her parents praise her. We see random strangers praise her. In case that wasn't enough, Erimentha recounts time she's been praised to the reader as well and shoehorns in odd anecdotes to show how special and precocious she was, while calling attention to how silly/stupid/immature her "peers" and younger brother are. At no point does Ruby seem to realize how obnoxiously her main character behaves.A few meetings in, I eventually, and reluctantly, hand over my log of everything which happened — filed and dated meticulously in my envelope folder.
Mrs Stafford says she has never seen anything quite like it. “My, my Erimentha”, she says. “I wish every incident of nastiness at this school was as easy to judge as this. It was very clever of you to keep this file”.
I remember the last video of Eve Cornwell's that I watched she said something about how she doesn't believe in the word "busy" as being busy is just a personal prioritisation of time... I was done after that, as a carer for family members (as well as working and studying) the personal prioritisation of my time involves regularly putting other people's needs and wellbeing above my own. Yes, I could decide not to, but I'd have to be quite thick skinned and selfish to do so and not feel guilty about it. Sometimes I feel very old, especially when Studytubers start pontificating about the world, I hope their young followers don't take too much of what they say to heart.During my bachelor's I always lived home between two semesters (2-3 months) and I enjoyed having so much free time. It was so nice doing all the creative stuff and enjoy nature and having a good time with little responsibilities. I finished my master's recently but I had a part time job during my studies and I will convert to a full timer in july. Now I have to maintain our apartment, cook, etc. And sometimes I get home tired and I don't really have the motivation to do something outside the basic things that keep me alive
So please Ruby, shut the f up with your privileged lifeI always found this so frustrating, seeing these people get free stuff and a lot of free opportunities with no effort. And here we are working 9-5 because life is not for free and people are aspiring these influencers...
I feel it's important to make the point that the flour was undulating. That feels so wrong to me. Like bullying fanfiction or bully porn (similar to the whole trauma porn debacle ). Is she literally rewriting her private school days just to feel something? It's the same as Erimentha when Ruby wrote that. She clearly has no experience with or knowledge of bullying despite her obsession with it. The "bullies" in that book went around doing hilariously unbelievable shit to the protagonist, like hacking her hair off (which somehow goes unnoticed by parents and teachers), stabbing her with needles, knocking her unconscious and putting her in the hospital with a shot from a stray tennis ball somehow, and shoving her hands in flour (Gasp! How dare they!).
Could you imagine her usual hyperspeed narration plus cocaine though? I find it hard to follow her on her normal speeded up talking!I would 100% watch those vlogs though.
I heard lots of people say getting an agent is easy, but finding a company to publish your work is hard. And judging by the writing about Erimentha's lesser known twin, there probably is a small chance that she will get a publishing deal. I think it would be a freaking miracle if she does get published.I know nothing about the publishing industry- what are the chances her book does get published? What reputable publishing house will want this steaming trash under their name?
Most definitely, couldn't agree more.Let’s make it clear though - if it weren’t for Daddy Bones’ money, she never could have gotten started on youtube, never could have coasted through her uni years without a job nor any thought of getting one, etc. Privilege ALLLLL the way.
