I wonder what's wrong with her hands to make them so red and swollen. I remember her mentioning in a video that she gets to type her exams instead of writing because she can't write (?) with her hands without pain and bleeding (??). It was long ago, somebody please correct me.

She compulsively washes them, picks at them, wrings them, and bites her nails. It's inevitable they'll be red and swollen all the time.

Apparently Ruby got soOoOoO many messages of people complimenting her outfit that night. Either she's overexaggerating or she only chose which messages she wanted to read.. My friend's message is still left on unread!

I assume the muse and artist debate is about Carrol and Alice Liddel (think I've mis spelled that)...I can see why she cut it out tbf how is the relationship between artist and muse at all relevant to the topic of letters. She doesn't close to being done yet I'm stressed just thinking about it
I really want to know what her argument is overall - I'm really not sure how she's been able to think of anything useful or relevant, past linking it to a wider literary context (which is just basic level stuff tbh)

idk what she's been up to recently but if she was moving to france to work after her a-levels...does that mean she wanted to become like an au pair or something like that? because i'm unaware (correct me if i'm wrong) that martha speaks any french
I don't know if it's a thing anymore but she might have been going to work at a ski resort, that seems more like something she would do! It's also the kind of work that would be heavily impacted by the pandemic.

I just watched her latest study video and… I thought she said she finished her dissertation and essay? Why is she going over it AGAIN?? When I wrote my essays for uni I read over them twice or three times, making little edits and then that’s it. I wasn’t doing as much as Roobster here.
my guess is that it was a backlog thing because she had to send it to the good people of perlego to get it approved before posting? but then she committed to this daily video thing so she had to put out the "i finished" before this one?? Or she's just continuing to beat those dead horses

Along with the horrifying lack of hygiene, I still can't wrap my head around the sheer stupidity that leads someone to constantly poke and prod at every inch of a laptop screen which has no touchscreen functionality.
Right?? I sometimes need to "scan" texts with my finger, but usually don't touch the actual screen and if I do by accident, my finger isn't dipped in hummus and dirt to leave those kind of marks..

Judging from her comment section it seems most of her viewers are middle school to high school aged students, like 12 to 17?
Honestly I think she mostly skews that demographic of nerdy tween girls who are not like other girls. I can't see uni students enjoying her content. Her lifestyle might look appealing to a younger person who likes that sort of thing (books, vintage stuff etc), but a 20 to 25 year old would immediately notice how absurd and cringy most of the things she does are
I never noticed that, to be honest. I always got the impression that most grew up with her and are now at uni. I only noticed school comments under the really old ones and they were old as well. But then again I never read all of them, only the top ones.

Have some Rubella playlists on shuffle as I'm trying to get more of my thesis chapter written to send for supervisors and the annoyance fuels me...

Not me nearly choking on my water at the memory of Rubeneezer going as Scrooge to an 18th birthday party... fiction has become reality.

I'd say it also depends on the country and medical guidelines, too, also on bloodwork and the overall image you're presenting to the clinician. I'm not based in the UK, though!

And regardless, Ruby's fucking with her health long-term. But it's all for the ass-thetic, sure.. fuck off, Ruby.
She wanted to be a frail Victorian child so bad! Wait until she finds out nurses in inpatient are 'bullies'

does anyone remember how ruby said in her house vid that she may live in her house in the year after completing her uni degree? do u guys still think shes up to it?
It would be interesting to see, but I fear she'll only half do it. By that I mean she'll rely on her parents to drop off shopping and that sort of thing. It might also be too socially isolated in the cottage by herself.

Ruby looks so frail in that picture. The jacket is way too big for her - I get the impression she likes wearing stuff like that because it makes her look smaller?

I'd say she looks like a kid borrowing her mum's clothes, but she has said she does share a lot of clothes with her mum, which probably explains why she looks like a middle-aged Tory councillor any time she tries to dress in something approaching formalwear.
Tbh when I was extremely self-conscious and my eating wasn’t great, I only wore things that were far too big for me. Not to make myself seem smaller, but to hide every part of my body

A significant portion of her viewers also seem to be middle-aged or elderly women for some reason?
Like me, for example? 🤣🤣🤣 Mind you, when I compare my life to Ruby’s I feel a lot younger than I am, even though I have had a lot more life experience. I just feel... I don't know...more like a student? Not sure how to explain it. Less rigid in my attitude perhaps? At the same time, when I was her age, I was a lot more mature than she is. But I moved to Glasgow the same year my parents moved to Brussels, so even as an 18-year old student, I only went home twice a year. And that was before social media or even Internet access at home was a thing. Not that I wanted to be home all the time anyway! 🤣

"The English dissertation is an 8,000-word extended essay where students shape a distinctive research project in consultation with a member of academic staff."(found that on the Exeter website btw).

I genuinely can't understand how it took her a YEAR to write 8,000 words? I obviously understand it takes time to write, but a whole year and she is still making edits to it??
Omg 8000 words that’s so easy😭 At my uni we had to write minimum 50 pages🥲

What gets me is how random this is. Ruby would never in a million years watch a Netflix show like Anatomy of a Scandal. Most of her followers are probably too young to watch it anyway. So why did they have her there?
Do you guys think her followers are young?

I always assumed that most of them are at university age and watch her content because they can somewhat identify with the university lifestyle.

I know she had younger followers before but I think it was during her Hermione-impression time and they grew up with her and should be in their 20s too.

I can't really imagine anyone under 17/18-ish finding her content relatable or interesting. There are lots of high school vloggers as well.

The Hermione-stuff has also since been deleted (most of it) so I don't think she attracts younger people who watch her old stuff a lot.
