I don’t think it’s that they dislike Eve Bennett, I think it’s more they have more reason and incentive to be friends with each other due to their management. I just figured their friendship was like the Gleam squad back in the day.

It's really not the type of thing Ruby is equipped for and in a few clips she looks like she's forcing a smile but is probably judging them for not taking their education seriously or something

What are peoples thoughts on the newest video. In all honesty I left concerned. Ruby is pushing herself so much and clearly something is not right. She is leading to burnout or even worse. Also she only showed one meal which was a tiny portion which is also concerning

I agree with this - I think she has high functioning autism, or perhaps aspergers. I could well be wrong but the need for routines, the fact she seems to struggle maintaining friendships / displaying annoyance and disapproval at behaviours of others, fear of behaviours e.g. thinking someone’s always trying to break in, focused obsessions e.g. constant hand washing, desire to be Harry Potter characters, not coping well with the transition to becoming an adult and always stating she still very much wants to be a child... it does have me thinking. I think seeing her in tears over the seminar where she couldn’t find the book / people had discussed points she wanted to mention really resurfaced this thought for me... Especially as autism is largely undetected in females in comparison to males...

Also, the book writing video... I found it quite difficult to hear her talk about the countryside. It upsets me how sheltered she really is...coming from a city area and seeing peoples experience of the lock down, loads of families sharing a single room, no access to the garden etc, then she demands she would never want any different. I know Ruby can’t help her background but hearing her spout on about blackberry jam and romanticising every little part of her day for inspiration... she lives a very idyllic lifestyle - I think she’ll really struggle without her incredibly crafted and protective bubble. I think she’d really benefit from solo travelling, she really needs to open her horizon and have a better understanding of differences on a human level...

I’ve been thinking about her having a learning difficulty for awhile as she reminds me of people I’ve taught in the past! I don’t know what the rules allow about this but I would agree with you and the OP too!

I've been trying to find it! I remember she wrote it down either on a piece of paper or notebook. But t hasn't been obvious to Google it. I do remember it was within this year or the one before.

Yes, I’m a 3rd year law student! And that’s pretty much the explanation we got as well for the amount of sources we need. I don’t mind OSCOLA as for common law, but for EU and international law - just hellish. However, I can’t say I prefer Harvard, I too hate how it breaks up the text.

If you use a reference manager - someone suggested Zotero, I prefer Mendeley or EndNote personally - it makes those long/diff language case citations much easier to manage, you can just copy and paste them once into the software and then it does everything for you!

I think the worry isn't that she's using too many, so much as she's spending way too much time doing more work than is necessary to get results that could be achieved with half of the references. Obviously, fair enough she enjoys studying -- but I don't want her to get stressed out over something that shouldn't be taking over her life.

Yes, I suppose part of the problem though is that she is getting top grades, so she must be doing something right. I don't know anything at all about English as a uni discipline, but I imagine a student who uses lots of different sources getting top grades must be pretty anxious that were she to stop doing that her grades would decrease.

Good point I’d hope she wouldn’t do that though tbh. She did also say the grade before the feedback. But again she could’ve seen it beforehand, I guess. She looked genuinely nervous and surprised though.
