"My yearly planner will now be a super-duper-ultra-most-exclusive limited edition due to the negativity of a select few people in the comments to make sure only the most productive, positive people benefit from it.Now watch Ruby ignore them all/her fans attack them for "bullying" her
"This was not my matcha, I just coincidentally happened to take the photo just as a passer-by placed their matcha down next to my muffin, and then my camera stopped working so I couldn't retake the photo.this is so funny to me like all she had to do is turn the bottle around so the word HONEY wouldn’t be so incriminatingly on display

Definitely. But she can't offer that because she doesn't actually read books. Almost none of the reviews she's left indicate that she read more than the Wikipedia page, and very few of the reviews tally with the rating given. Like everything with Ruby, it's yet more lies and bizarre inconsistencies.Completely agree with this, everyone's taste in literature is different! Ruby only writes reviews for a small proportion of the books she rates, but it'd be interesting to see what makes her like or dislike these books.
Eating disorders aren't solely about appearance, and the red flags that have been raised have only been partially to do with her appearance/weight loss. There's also the constant tiny portions and fixation on food (e.g. stretching out tiny portions by cutting up/elaborately positioning small amounts of food, endless to-do lists related to food), vaguely alluding to health issues and weight loss but refusing to go into specifics, various other isolated signs. There's absolutely no proof or direct confirmation that she does or doesn't have an ED, or whether she's just baiting - opinions on this thread have varied - but behaviours and weight loss are definitely two separate (but related!) components of an eating disorder. She could have genuine symptoms of anorexia or another ED without it necessarily showing in an obvious way on her family's photos. From the pictures she posts with her family and the ones of her in a wetsuit in Devon, she looks like a perfectly healthy 21 year old.
If I took a shot for everytime she says "beauuuutiful cover", "beauuuutiful edition" and "beauuutiful illustrations", with a bonus point for everytime she says "I love, love, love this" I would die of alcohol poisoning. Seriously, does she not know any other words? If anything, the video made it blatantly clear (as if it hadn’t been already) that she mainly values books for the ”aesthetic”, and likes the idea of having read them more than she likes the actual reading of them, apart from children’s books.
I would advise an alcoholic beverage if you’re at all so inclined. I know it’s only Monday, but I wish I’d been prepared.
Ruby's a narcissist. She'll never get tired of reading about herself - or her idealised, fantasy version of herself. It's just so childish and repetitive. Doesn't she get bored reading about white teen girls in the Victorian/Edwardian era?
Watching this video, I was exposed to so much second-hand stupidity that I think my brain shut down temporarily to protect itself after a few minutes.View attachment 712657
How many times have we seen this exact shot? I can't think of any particular videos it's shown up in, but the fact that she's going into her final year of university and still reusing this one clip of school says a lot. (It's in the first few seconds of the video). There's also a lot of reused footage with Blakeney and Molly, clips of her studying, and shots of the planner. I really think she put together most of the intro without actually filming anything new.
Because I hate myself and I have too much time on my hands, I'm going to try and sum up the 35 things -
It's divided up into four parts - academic, organisation, lifestyle, and 'fun'.
(Side-note: she repeats the phrase 'do X so you don't have to worry about doing X later' so many times)
Academic - 'because obviously that is probably the most important bit'
1. 'look through your course information and familiarise yourself with the classes you're taking' - make Notion pages, basically
2. 'start doing some pre-reading and actually prepare academically' - do all your work for week 1.
3. 'do at least one piece of critical extra reading' - already making more work for herself. The clip here (1:30) is of her writing 'Empire of Liberty' which I think was one of her modules last year?
4. 'set up your academic planner' - a planner advert, of course.
5. 'set up your folders - if you're going to be using folders. Or Notion, if you're going to be using notion'.
6. 'set goal grades' for each of your subjects and 'make a note of how you can achieve them' - and write them down in youracademic planner
of course. Her goal grades are 75, 75, 72 for modules, and 76 for her dissertation, and the ways she can achieve her goals are literally only 'read widely', 'historical research', and other very specific, targeted, and focused strategies
7. 'put your key dates in your calendar - deadlines, term dates...'
8. 'look through your notes from last year' - declutter
9. 'back up key documents in a second location in case you lose them' (good shout, I'll give her that)
10. 'familiarise yourself with last years notes' - feat. another reused clip of sixth form (3:39)
Organisation -
11. get rid of any stationery that isn't working - 'obviously you have no use for a pen that doesn't work'
12. make a shopping list to go stationery shopping (with....... stationery, I guess?)
13. clean out your schoolbag from last year
14. wipe out your bag with 'cold water and soap' - this is 'quite nice to do on occasion'
15. pack your bag, and write down what you want to keep in it (pointless busywork, anyone?)
16. pack your pencil case, as above. She says she used to write down a list of stuff in her pencil case and 'every month' she would 'cross-reference' it with the stuff that was actually in her pencil case.
17. 'label things' - school jumpers, pencil cases, etc
18. make a 'school emergency kit of things you might need' - period pads, lipbalm, deodorant, etc. Surely that's just things that are useful to have in your bag in general?
19. 'do some decluttering'
20. 'clean your bedroom thoroughly' - hoover under your bed, she says! Because apparently cleaning is a great way to 'mark in a new mindset'.
21. a 'digital declutter'
Lifestyle -
22. write down some 'easy lunch or dinner ideas' - feat reused footage of tiny portions
23. write down some 'good study snacks' - one of hers is 'mug of peas' (6:51 for anyone who wants to screengrab the whole thing)
24. make sure you have 'dry snacks' in the house that are easy to transport - have a 'designated snack box' for food to eat during the day
25. write down your 'ideal day' - morning and night routines, etc. feat. reused footage from said morning and night routines
26. write down what extracurriculars you want to sign up for
27. write down what you want to 'do and achieve' before the end of term
28. make some playlists on spotify - one study playlist full of classical music, and one motivational playlist
29. plan out five daily outfits so that you don't 'waste time thinking about what to wear' and then write them in Notion holy shit this girl's capacity for inane busywork (list at 9:00 if you want a laugh)
Fun, finally!
30. Read a 'long book you won't have time for during the school year'
31. print some photos to put up in your university room to 'reflect on memories from the summer'
32. 'make a list of the things that make you happy, so you can look over them when you're stressed'
33. make an aesthetic Pinterest board to get 'motivated and excited' about school - 'just really channel that motivation!'
34. 'penultimately, take a day off entirely!' feat. reused footage of twirling in fields
35. spend time with friends and family, make the most of seeing people, etc
This might be the thread's most boring post yet but I got halfway in and then sunk-cost fallacy forced me to see it through, I apologise in advance![]()
If I saw that in person from someone claiming to be organised, I'd say two things:I get that she’s trying to be “aesthetic” here but does it bother anyone else how she’s piled everything on top of one another under the guise of being extra productive? “I must read the ny times at the same time as dickens, and write to do lists on paper, in my planner AND on a notepad that I’m also using as a coaster!!”
Not to mention that the candle is in danger of setting her desk alight as she’s essentially made the whole thing as flammable as possible. But of course remember to keep all of your notes in one place! And buy the planner which has EVERYTHING a student could need, which is why I have a thousand other notepads around me at all times!
Well, Ruby has compared her fictional bullying experience to the experiences of Nazi concentration camp survivors before, so I'm not sure perspective is something she's familiar with.loads of people have been reading this book recently or putting it on their tbr. the "public shamings" it is about are also much, much bigger scale than anything ruby came ever close to experiencing, so i'm not sure what you are wanting to say?
No, no, no, no and no. Her version of charity work is writing stupid notes and leaving them library books which she then returns for someone to find. It is honestly a bit embarrassing tbh.I was in the shower and, because Ruby Granger lives rent free in my mind (lol) I started thinking about the baffling lack of compassion and the selfishness that she shows.
I've been "following" her for years at this point (I'm not subscribed to her channel anymore but I keep an eye on her). Correct me if I'm wrong, but has she ever raised money for a cause? Donated money? Shared a GoFundMe page her fans could donate their pocket money to? Donated her possessions?
Granted, she may have done charity in private and not talked about it on her channel, but I doubt it. This is someone who expects praise because she held the door open for someone. And even if she did, considering the massive following she has, it would literally be detrimental to a cause if she just donated and not shared it on social media.
The past couple years have unfortunately been full of disasters. Everyone else I follow has done something about at least one of them. Either organised a fundraiser themselves or donated to an existing one and urged their followers to do the same. Ruby is out there buying houses with her revenue from Youtube, her family lives in a literal mansion, her father drives an Aston Martin, and she won't even donate her old clothes. So much for being "an ambassador for kindness" and "aligned to the values of Christianity". I guess she skipped the lecture about giving everything you have to the poor.
lmao from those notes it looks like she just made the entire thing about herself. I cannot begin to imagine how unimpressed everyone who watched that talk would have been with this, all her peers must think she's an absolute moron...So, I was watching one of her videos from last autumn while I had my lunch (chili and rice, the equivalent of two weeks of Roobee meals I’m sure). It was this one:
Brushing aside the obvious facts that she looks healthier and eats actual food with actual nutritional value, I thought the interesting part in this was the speech she had to give and apparently totally failed at, because she was crying afterwards. So I did a little frame-by-frame sleuthing of her notes, and apparently it was a speech on ”digital learning” that Exeter had asked her to give. I’m not surprised at all that it didn’t go well, because her notes reveal that she went from ”how I got to be a successful influencer” to ”how to curate your own social media platform” to then talking about how difficult it is to adapt to online learning and how it’s important to have a good study space and dress up for lectures. Oh what I wouldn’t give to have seen this trainwreck as it was happening![]()
