In one of her most recent videos, she literally told people that they should be spending hours more than they need on essays, not to improve the quality, but to force themselves to enjoy the process of essay-writing.
I'm confused??? It doesn't actually cover the topic she is supposed to talk about or is my English so bad that I don't understand her notes??So, I was watching one of her videos from last autumn while I had my lunch (chili and rice, the equivalent of two weeks of Roobee meals I’m sure). It was this one:
Brushing aside the obvious facts that she looks healthier and eats actual food with actual nutritional value, I thought the interesting part in this was the speech she had to give and apparently totally failed at, because she was crying afterwards. So I did a little frame-by-frame sleuthing of her notes, and apparently it was a speech on ”digital learning” that Exeter had asked her to give. I’m not surprised at all that it didn’t go well, because her notes reveal that she went from ”how I got to be a successful influencer” to ”how to curate your own social media platform” to then talking about how difficult it is to adapt to online learning and how it’s important to have a good study space and dress up for lectures. Oh what I wouldn’t give to have seen this trainwreck as it was happening
She has also said on multiple occasions to ”decide on one method of note-taking and stick with it” and then gone on to immediately contradict herself by showing herself using every imaginable method, app and notebook system
She’s such a hot mess, I can’t believe anyone takes her advice.Ruby doesn't even make her videos for anybody except herself, in my opinion. All she does is more and more of the same exact videos saying 'you need to do lists, it's good to have a walk, here's all my stationary I showed you 10 times before!'.
To me, it’s not even that the food looks gross, or the way she looks when chewing. It’s the fact that she chooses to make a small portion of bland food lacking in nutrients, both macro and micro, and chews it up 40-50 times (lol I didn’t count but I may go back and do so when my gin and bitter kicks in), thereby throwing up an eating disorder bat signal that’s pretty hard to miss. This is the content she’s putting up, and she 100% knows what she’s doing. She’s despicable.

To me, it’s olde worlde child speak. She’s read it in one of her books somewhere and latched onto it. It’s not used by adults, or in modern English.
There is an element of perfectionism that goes hand-in-hand with procrastination, which means that you want to be perfect but you know you can’t so you put stuff off until the point where you end up having to half-ass everything because there’s no time left! I see that a lot in Ruby. I agree there’s an element of superiority there but it’s the same kind of thing that I see in Holly Gabrielle, that looking down on others to cover up a deep, deep sense of insecurity in yourself. I also think that with Holly (and possibly Ruby) that’s a part of her overall MH issues. A feeling of superiority and an ED is probably not a good combination at all.

Barely 2 minutes in and I hear 'Rude-yard Kipling' (Rudyard Kipling). We need a proper compilation of all mispronunciations. Could be hilarious.
And complaining about how scissors aren't made to be durable is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
