I could see Jenna in Tokyo Disney and I guess she'd either stay at Disney (which is OK, we're not all good at culture) or she would make the decision to go into Tokyo without thinking things through first and then the problems would start. Food, crowds, etc.
I've survived London several times, once when the main transportation system, the Tube was out of action due to a workers strike and I wouldn't want to go to Tokyo (and a few other major, major cities) because I know my limits.
Jenna knows her limits but then suddenly is OK with more, sometimes OK with less? Some foods at certain times are bad but not others, crowds are OK for Wednesday fireworks but shop crowds not OK on Friday?
It feels like something left over from childhood, where one day she was fine with eating at location A, but then the next time she felt unwell so they avoided location A but then she decided to go back there and everything was fine but then they tried location B and Jenna didn't like that so......
You either like spicy food or you don't. An ingredient or food group doesn't sit well with you or it does. Big crowds are either OK or they aren't. In young children I could understand, maybe they haven't figured things out yet. But someone Jenna's age should know by now what the hell is going on. And until she does, she really shouldn't go to such a different cultural location such as Tokyo.
