These could work for Jenna if she wern't so lazy, but Josh can't do most of that - releasing control is not in his nature. Unpredictability stresses him out.
Copying Tonya & Janel is never a good idea. Even if he were able to make a spinning wheel of his own, we all know Josh's creativity is rock bottom. It would contain only what he wants on it - duplicates of the Peoplemover, and he'd look at wait times of other rides it might land on and opt out anyway for most.
Josh was never meant to be a success in livestreaming - he makes it about himself and has no idea how to frame a story. He just hit it at the right moment, which gave him that boost others wish they had.
You beat me to it.
I know realistically it is never going to happen, but Josh needs to realise that what is really limiting his channel is not the subject, the time of year, the competitors etc but his personality and also Jenna's.
I do think Jenna could do a genuinely fun stream, but like Josh complacency is a key issue and knowing that some moppers will follow you know matter how little you give them in return, so why do more than is needed?
Watching other streamers recently, I think I forget just how much there is to explore in the entire footprint that is WDW. I still keep seeing things I've ever never seen or see infrequently. It's criminal how much Josh has around him he could use to really give the viewers an experience and how it's just the same old, same old.
Also (and I'm sorry to keep mentioning Tonya as an example but recent her stream times and my free times have been colliding) on her Friday stream she specifically went out of her way to get some change from one of the hotels as she made her way into Magic Kingdom. She forgot to bring cash, got some out from the ATM and swapped them for some dimes.
While she was waiting for the afternoon parade she asked people in the chat for any wishes they had. Obviously there were a lot of health wishes, new job, world peace, passing tests etc etc and she was reading them all out and commenting about them. Then she made her way to the wishing well, threw in the pile of dimes (the money collected goes to charity) and said that this was for all the viewers who were making a wish.
I'm a bit of a miserable sod about things like this at the best of times, but I thought it was a nice idea (I'm not sure if Janel does his as well), and was another example of a streamer engaging with their viewers that didn't feel forced, icky or false. She had also not had a great morning herself, and then the stream ran into major issues and had to be restarted, so I would say it took a little while for her to be her usual self, but she still did this anyway.
And once again, my overwhelming thought was "can you imagine ever, in a million years, not even for a million subscribers would Josh think of or do something like this".
Because despite all the thanks he gives at the end of every stream, deep down he thinks he deserves the Mods hard work and deserves the viewers and likes and subscribers and that it's his right as THE Disney lives streamer that he has all of these things automatically.
And that is why his channel is doing whatever the hell he thinks it's doing in terms of view, subscribers, money etc.
