I'll admit, I would get a loan from my mother rather than going to a bank and getting charged interest on it. I also think we need to remember they bought a house quite recently, I don't think you'd have much savings left after the deposit is paid and it's not Rosemary's fault that Brandin was laid off with no notice. She has also already said she needs to change her spending habits now that they are in this situation so I don't see how it is necessary or helpful for people to keep going on about it when she has already admitted this. I'm sure she feels shit enough at the moment without people basically implying she deserves it. I hope everyone judging her is always really good with their money and never buys things they don't need 🙂

I think we could go through most peoples bank statements and point out things that we *personally* deem to be unnecessary, as she pointed out herself she doesn’t drink every week. You can get a cleaner for €20 an hour, that’s the guts of the cost of a few pints/glasses of wine in the local on a Friday night. Some people value spending their spare money on a cleaner to take away a bit of the mental and physical load of running a household, some people value a few drinks with their mates at the weekend to destress. Neither are morally wrong.

Its not like she’s coming out with money diaries detailing the takeaways/cleaner AFTER her husband lost his job, she’s said herself she’s going to have to change her spending habits now, but at the time they were both on decent wages and so hiring a cleaner was a very reasonable expense to have.

Rosemary is breastfeeding and I think she may have said in passing before that Atlas doesn't take from a bottle. Also just from previous pods and insta stories it sounds like her husband is a grafter and I'd say he's probably flat out also trying to find employment.
Difficult time for them and I wish them the best, I have a lot of time for Rosemary I think she's sound and I really do enjoy her substack writing.

No Aisling, I believe Rosemary's is not missing the point at all. What a lunatic. Some of the links she shares...a quick Google will tell you everything you need to know about the reliability of the source...

Also I'm loving the no fucks given but I am still a kind and considerate person who is living their true authentic life person Rosemary has become. I am so excited to watch her journey into motherhood and I can honestly say I've never said that about anyone on Instagram before 🤣

Isn't this a rave thread? Set up another thread if you're just going to shit on her breastfeeding and publicly supporting trans people

Love Rosemary, she was a bit polarising back in the day when she spoke out a lot, i feel like she was one of thd first to call out the BS on insta

Shes very intelligent and writes really well IMO.

Thw only mental health advocate i can think of that speaks openly about it without trying to monetise it
I agree I love her and her podcast. Genuinely so happy for her and her pregnancy, she doesn’t annoy me or talk shite and when she does she will say oh I know I’m talking shit. There’s something so refreshing about her

The way some of yous are going on about “dumping the cats”
You swear her and the husband just decided one day to drive out to the forest, opened the door, threw a ball out and when they went to fetch they drove off cackling.

I love when Rosemary mentions the two boys mother in her money diary or whatever, I think it’s so lovely that they have such a good coparenting relationship when so often you hear the opposite

Had a laugh out loud when she admitted she checks her tattle and can't stop herself. I would be the exact same if there was one about me 🤣🤣 fair play to her for responding about it. I got that it was just a kind of tongue in cheek joke but I can see how others might have taken it differently

Imagine living in America with children with all the mass school shootings going on constantly? It must be such a worry.
Honestly - it must be terrifying.

I saw a TikTok recently of a mother saying that she knew she had to get out of the US when she was shopping for school shoes for her 5 year old and decided not to get light up runners because if there was a school shooting, the shooter would see them in the dark.

I could be murdered for this but I find it really off putting seeing her sit there with her tit out and her 18 month old glued to it or helping himself to it when he feels like. Gives me the impression he'll have serious mommy issues when he's older. It's time enough it stopped. He's too big. I've nothing against bf a baby but he looks like a preschooler still on the tit.

Ugggh I can’t with her today.
How does she not have the sense in her head to know that stuff like this is actually really counterproductive. Creating your own echo chamber is not how you win/further an argument.

Let’s hope for her sake that not too many of her patrons find themselves identifying with anything on her list, otherwise she’ll be missing out on their $5 a month (not including tax)

I’d wager lots of people have an issue with the issue of competitive sports, yet might find everything else on the list abhorrent. So well done Rosemary, excellent work at alienating moderates with sincere concerns.

Grow up and stop trying to tell others how to think whilst simultaneously begging for a living🤨🤢

Hi Rosemary!! You never mentioned you were paying them back on the blog I pay to subscribe to - sorry I’m not psychic!! I’ll unsubscribe now. Also good job dumping the dog for a second time
I'm sure she will be gutted to see you go. She told me though(and everyone else who watches her instagram stories at least I think that's where I saw it) becasue I knew it was a loan and I don't subscribe to her blog. Your poor attention span is hardly her problem.

I guess we are so used to receiving written content for free that when we are asked (or invited to) pay for it, we kind of find it cheeky? Like when things are behind paywalls, I automatically click out and try to find the same story where it’s free. But at the end of the day she is a writer and this is how she earns her money. And at least she can write well, which is more than I can say for most of them on Instagram. At least she isn’t linking to pretty little thing tat that she’ll never wear or doing sponsored ads with spotshite and other crap. She seems to have boundaries and principles where that is concerned.

And so if she wants to charge for her writing and others are happy to support that so she can stay at home with her baby, then what of it? It’s no different to others talking complete scutter down a mic and charging for it on patreon. If people are happy to support her and they get something in return then it’s a win win. I don’t see why anyone would have an issue with it. It’s not a summons.

This was my exact thought when I saw this, the inclusion of the competitive sports part… she really does fly the flag of being the PERFECT ally, and anything that falls short of that might as well be total opposition. Think it’s really dangerous rhetoric that anyone who doesn’t fall in line 100% are simply evil and not good enough to be considered good at all! This cannibalisation is what causes the opposite side to be even stronger, since people who are supportive of trans rights are too afraid to slip up and end up staying completely silent.

I haven't listened to the podcast yet, but on her postings, like any new mother, my own life, and therefore content, would become more baby/child related. I watched her stories from yesterday, I really felt for her. She is definitely someone I enjoy watching and I would feel would be my type of friend.
Babies definitely change your world and world view so it's understandable her content has changed direction recently

I genuinely hate this argument! Yes all dogs can bite but some have the jaw capacity to literally tear a toddler in two and others don’t. As much as I would never leave any child unsupervised with a dog, my Maltese ain’t gonna rip anyone to shreds like.
Ok but she has never left the boys, especially not Atlas, alone with Vinny, so this conversation is pointless!
