Totally!! Seen so many people outraged on twitter the past few days. They’ve said things like “this would never happen in the U.K.” I know many parts of the U.K. forget about NI being part of the U.K. but come on!! We’re still forced to fly to other parts of the U.K. for an abortion because they haven’t commissioned the services here it’s a disgrace!!
And this is proven with Westminster actively trying to get abortion services in place in Northern Ireland over the past 3-4 years.

I don’t know about that last part. Taking abortion pills is safe for the vast majority of women but sometimes things go wrong. My young adult Christian Orthodox son was shocked yesterday when I told him that I had an unwanted pregnancy at age 40. I detailed all the different ways our lives would have been ruined if I'd had a third child. Thankfully, I lost it early on, but it could have been very different, and I'd have been one of those women he'd be condemning right now. He's directly benefitted from a pregnancy not continuing and he took that on board. I also explained to him that this ruling will cause countless deaths and ruined lives. Reproduction is womens business and we need full control. Nothing to do with anyone else. Nothing to do with men whatsoever. Women have been 'dealing with' their reproductive issues since humans began. It's a messy business, but it's our business.
I hope they can get abortion pills out to women. This seems like an easier and safer option.

My degree...if it helps is in Government. The SC made the decision. A decision that the majority of the US population doesn't agree with. It is an institution which is populated by political appointees. Trump placed three RW nutjobs in it intentionally to enact religious far right overturning of constitutional rights.
Also almost all gaming companies have spoken out. The majority of their customers are in younger demographics. My understanding is entertainment companies are also taking a stand

The Democrats didn’t do it. But yes they could have stopped it. The Republicans have been saying they wanted to do this for nearly 50 years. The Democrats did nothing. The Supreme Court made the unprecedented step of leaking a draft opinion stating explicitly they were going to do this. The democrats did nothing. Obama had a super majority in his first term. Biden had a super majority when he came to power. Either could have enshrined Roe v Wade into federal law. Neither did anything.

The women most likely to be affected by the Roe v Wade decision are those in financial difficulty i.e. unable to travel to other places within the US to get an abortion. Nevermind an international flight - some may not even have a passport.
That's it exactly. It's nothing to do with politics and government.It shouldnt be up to any government bodies though. Women everywhere should be able to access abortion. Regardless of where they live.
Should it come down to a state by state basis to allow say organ transplants? There is no other medical procedure that is broken down like this surely?
If you dont like abortion, dont have oneits really that simple. Pro choice is not pro abortion. I think thats the difference, I want people to have the choice regardless of what decision I would make myself if I was to find myself unexpectedly pregnant.
