In my opinion the estate agents don’t come across very well , who puts no refunds 🤔😂. Also yes it’s a shit tip but hardly looks like the floors covered in faeces I don’t understand why they need to say you have to wipe your feet as you are leaving . Never seen an advert like that 🤣

For anyone old, like me, who loved the BBC's 1995 Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth, you can now buy the house used as the Bennet family's home if you've got deep enough pockets.

I can't get my head around this one! And how can the Orangery be almost as big as the rest of the house? They seem to have a lot of sitting rooms...
Wipe down furniture and a hot tub inside? Probably swingers. No Pampas grass though (youngsters, Google it) 😄

I posted a similar sentiment about a property upthread in the early part. I do some volunteering stuff and have learned since that it might not be hoarding per se - an ageing population, some elderly people have no help, no visitors and poor mobility. It doesn’t take long before a once well kept house falls into a sad state. Add to that depression, dependencies etc. It is sad.
Some of the houses I used to do supermarket deliveries to were heading down that route. So sad when they opened the door and what you would see. But never judge them. There were a couple of the old folks that weren't very mobile and so liked the food to be brought in to their kitchen, generally it would be ordered for them by their absentee offspring who presumably thought that ordering a load of food to be delivered was the extent of of their duty. Those ones I would always try to stop for five or ten minutes and just chat shit with them, we might be the only people they saw all week. Luckily the supermarket I worked for is a fairly kind one and was supportive of us parking up and stopping to chat to the elderly customers so long as it didn't throw the schedule out too much. Except for the odd old bat that were proper karens, always moaning about something or phoning the store to see how high they could make the manager's eyes roll, those ones would be known by all and thoroughly mocked by everyone back at the store!

Anyway if that house is on for £150k in an area that normally sells for £250k, so long as the roof etc is OK, it could be an absolute bargain? Easy enough to pay to get it cleared, will be done in a day. Then just gut everything else back to the shell and start again!

Funny how some people can't even be arsed to have a tidy up before taking photos.

I love the really expensive but badly decorated ones in footballers areas like Alderley Edge.

£7.5 million 😳 just proves money does not buy taste 🤣
I saw one in the Altrincham area a while back that featured two oil paintings of who I assume were the owners on easels in the middle of the (tacky) lounge 😱 they hadn’t even blurred out the faces!

For all Egypt fans

Dear god!

So many questions about this...

Could they not have had a quick clean and run a hoover round first?
Why is there no bed, is the owner sleeping on that filthy sheet covered mattress on the floor?
No cooker in the kitchen (just one of those 2 ring hob things), a fridge that looks about 50 years old, but full of Egyptian tat...
Also in the kitchen - 3 big salt containers. Who needs that much salt?
And there's an iron in one of the rooms yet I don't feel like the owner would do much ironing!

Place looks like it needs fumigating.

There’s certainly a lot going on inside… 😬

Hahaha, what hilariously bad taste. Those green floor tiles are pretty much the worst thing I've ever seen. I also notice on the map the house is closer to Oldham than Ashton-Under-Lyne. Presumably it would have ruined the owners delusions of grandeur to have the estate agent describe their house as being in Oldham.

Spacious kitchen anyone
(I kid you not this is in a 3 bed house)
That reminds me of a flat I had (in Wales) when I was 16. It was above a cafe so it was just the landing, the bathroom and three bedrooms. The rooms were let out individually and the kitchen was literally on the landing. There was an electric hob and a sink (next to each other) and that was it. Although they squeezed a table and two chairs onto the landing. Hysterical when I look back but I was well chuffed at the time. I had it to myself (possibly because nobody else would accept it). The bathroom had a dark blue suite which I was quite fond of. God knows why!

Wow! In reality, I wouldn’t actually want to live here, but it conjures up a fascinating fantasy life

My dream home. sea and country .. I would have to plant some trees around the house but other than that its perfect. I would have a working farm holiday place for abused children with a animal rescue , each child gets a animal to look after during their stay

So cheap too!

Fingers crossed my lottery comes up

£1.50 and I'll throw this in too:
You’ve got your self a deal

SOLD

I can't unseen the monkey family on the bed.

It's sad that kids actually lived in a home like this, as shown by the Lego.
What I don’t understand is ok people don’t have a lot of money but why do you need to live in filth and mess and let your home get into that state?
i hope this doesn’t come across really ignorant I just think it’s so sad that in this day I’m age people live like this.
