So apparently, according to local gossip, the lighthouse inspired house in Croyde, the one that featured on Grand Designs and is currently on sale for 10 Million, has been bought by Harry Styles for his parents to live in.

I kind of hope this is true. From everything I've seen of Harry, he seems a decent sort and given that I don't currently possess a spare ten million English pounds, I can forgive him for buying MY dream house.

I’ve never heard of a “Party Barn” before sounds fun!

Ah what an amazing house!
The livechat button on the Savills website made me laugh 'would you like to arrange a viewing' 😂 😂

Yes sure, I'm only £22.5m short of the purchase price but I'm sure I can rustle that up somehow :ROFLMAO:

The first house I bought was in South West London. It was a tiny 2 bed terrace that cost me £154k. I just looked it up and it’s on the market for £900k !!!

I’ve often dreamt of buying it back as I never wanted to sell it (Divorce) but not at that price 😳

Am I alone in thinking that part of relaxing in a bath is the ability to recline? I don't think I'd feel relaxed just sat there upright. I had to stop having baths years ago as they made me feel unwell but I used to love a long soak with a good book.

I like how the main selling point is that it used to be a Co Op. I might buy the Tesco Express down the road and stick a few reclaimed submarine doors in it - Kevin McCloud eat your heart out.

As a slight spin off, I’m interested in weird/strange/bad viewing experiences while house hunting?

When we were selling, we had a couple come and the woman waited in the car and the man came in which I thought was odd. We conducted the house tour and made small talk before he eventually told us the house was in a different city to what they thought and therefore they weren’t interested 🤣 my questions are 1) surely you’d know when you either looked up where it was 2) how can you get a CITY wrong (that are an hour apart) 3) surely you’d realise when you arrived (or halfway?!) it was wrong and cancel and 4) just say at the beginning rather than smile and nod the whole time!

When we were viewing the house we are currently buying, the single male seller had his mother conduct the viewings and he was clearly still slightly attached to mummy’s apron strings- we asked why he was selling and she gave a long story about how he was moving away against her wishes, breaking her heart and she didn’t want him to sell 😬 I complimented the choice of tiles fittings etc (recent new build) and she said she had chosen everything 🤣 he clearly had a cat, we have two so asked about it to try and build some rapport, she said ‘yes we are currently looking after it while the house is on the market. We aren’t cat people’ gave up at that point 😂

Funny how some people can't even be arsed to have a tidy up before taking photos.
I think some of them like that are where they are currently being rented out. So the tenants couldn't give a shit and would possibly be pleased if it didn't sell as they would have longer there

Interesting picture placements. It’s either a bit stalker-y or the police have been using it for a crime solving board.

*I’m slightly nervous that this is someone on here’s husbands uncles house. 🥴

Yes because the thought of being sat upright in all my glory, tits and stomach rolls out is horrendous. The only thing worse would be if the water only came up to my knees.
