Ah yes, Star Lane aka ‘Beirut’…. the type of place where a three piece suite is dumped in the middle of the road and no one bats an eyelid about itStar Lane really isn't somewhere you'd want to live. There is a large traveller site there, and a lot of anti social behaviour.
Google streetview of the house below shows that 2 years ago they were lived in and had no damage. I'd say this is deliberate vandalism, whether by previous tenants or others.

I adore this series. At the time, I bought a book about the series, there is an interview with the lady who owned the property, at the time of it being filmed. I'll see if I can fish it out.For anyone old, like me, who loved the BBC's 1995 Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth, you can now buy the house used as the Bennet family's home if you've got deep enough pockets.

I wouldn’t fancy living there - didn’t the delusional chap who built it massively annoy the locals? I’d imagine whoever lived there would be a complete pariah in the local community. So apparently, according to local gossip, the lighthouse inspired house in Croyde, the one that featured on Grand Designs and is currently on sale for 10 Million, has been bought by Harry Styles for his parents to live in.
I kind of hope this is true. From everything I've seen of Harry, he seems a decent sort and given that I don't currently possess a spare ten million English pounds, I can forgive him for buying MYdreamhouse.
To be honest in the time it's taken to build, there have been so many other new builds and complete renovations of existing houses nearby that it's probably not an issue anymore.I wouldn’t fancy living there - didn’t the delusional chap who built it massively annoy the locals? That’s true, 90% of the village have likely either passed away or moved away by now!To be honest in the time it's taken to build, there have been so many other new builds and complete renovations of existing houses nearby that it's probably not an issue anymore.
I think the locals were annoyed about the time it took to build and it looking an eyesore. Maybe now it’s finished they don’t mind too much?I wouldn’t fancy living there - didn’t the delusional chap who built it massively annoy the locals?
