I understand the location is where the money is but £20M for that is absolutely crazy, the inside is not that nice, ceilings are low. I mean one of the bedrooms has vinyl/laminate floor for goodness sake. Can’t you get Kensington townhouses for like 8M?

It’s beautiful, Victorian tiles just like my childhood home (but with a value of less than 400k )! Would rather see the lifestyle of people with that taste living in these homes than most influencers tbh

It's not in a very nice area of Kensington, it's North Kensington and above theA40 which isn't very nice. Would rather spend the same money and have a smaller house in Holland Park

nice house but I don't like the decor, particularly the sitting room and dining room. The bathroom also looks really cheap compared to the rest , I was expecting to have one of theose old fashioned baths with feet

Because in a couple of years it will probably be sold to someone else for £41m. And soon enough after that to someone else for £45m. And so on.

At that level, a lot of it is either about speculation that someone else will pay even more for it down the line, or simply something to bury large amounts of money into for a couple of years and then safely get it all back out later.

Property prices in the UK are insane, my parents bought their big house 25 years ago for the same price as my small flat cost a couple of years ago (both places in London), and at the time they bought it everyone was shocked how much it cost, while now it is probably worth 10x the price
