OMG! I think I still have my little matchbox baby somewhere! I recently had to clear out my old childhood home when my mum passed away and I had kept loads of my old toys and I’m sure the matchbox baby was in the box πŸ˜‚
yes I kept a load of my toys too in my parent's loft, I'll never see them again with having a greedy nasty sibling who emptied the contents my parent's home after my Parent's passed away, I'm loving this thread and grateful to have my memories they can't be erased

I used to love Subbuteo but it was pain that you had get your mum to iron the pitch before you could play a game.

That was one Christmas present I did get! I loved my Subbuteo. I also wanted a Scalextric but that never appeared. I was such a tomboy 🀣

There’s a big market in vintage Sindy, some of it going for a fortune
Really?! It's such a shame I chopped all of their hair off. I don't think a single one escaped.

We had both but I don't think they were at the same time. We had a scaletrix that we thought was the absolute bomb. It was an 8 track and I can still smell the burning as I type.
My brother had a subuteo at a similar point in time. Perhaps a year earlier/later. My input is, they hurt your nails to flick!

Does anyone remember Quints from the early 90s? I loved them and my best friend at the time had them too. When I ask around though, not many remember them. I don't think they were ever 'huge'
My daughter and my niece (both born 1985) were given Quints sets one Christmas. You're right, they were never a big trend but I thought they were cute!

I loved thT teapot, did anyone else hVe the double decker bus? Think it was made by the same company
The bus was my ABSOLUTE favourite toy as a child. Then my brother came along and lost bits from it. I never let him forget it so he bought me another one for my birthday one year. It didn't have all the bits but was still pretty expensive , but it remains one of my favourite gifts ever.

If (on the remote chance) I saw one in a charity shop now I think I'd buy myself it just to reminisce 🀣

I was about 28 or something when he bought it for me, I'm single and childless and it's broadly on display in my flat. It makes me smile every time i see it despire the fact it goes with absolutely nothing else I own! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ every time I'm in a charity shop I have a look for the missing parts - i definitely would love to build it back to a full set.

The first time my nephew saw it in my cupboard he was very confused as to why he wasn't allowed to play with it! πŸ˜‚

Omg i

I had something similar to that top one but casino and grey, I never really understood how it worked 🀣 that dream phone thing always looked so glamorous somehow, I don't know anyone (in the uk) who had one though!
I had a dream phone! I remember going to argos to buy it with my birthday money! My mum in all her wisdom, got rid of it when I moved out πŸ™„ but I ended up buying another on ebay a few years ago.

I actually just got it out to take to my mum's tonight - it is still fun as adults & my eldest niece is old enough to understand the concept & rules and she loves playing dream phone with us too 🀣

I wouldn't let mum get rid of mine. In our late teens me and my boyfriend (now husband) used to get back from the pub and play it - he looks good what ever he wears, he's not at the mall, I know who it is but l'm not telling πŸ˜†.

Do you hate any of the boys for absolutely no reason? Everyone hates "creepy Scott". There is no reason for it, we just all unanimously dislike him πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€£ and if you win the game and he's the one who likes you, you technically win, but you lose everyone's love and respect πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Matt and his 90's curtains is loved by all πŸ’–

I never fully got the top one either. I think the ones my friend's had was grey as well.

The Dream Phone was definitely a thing in the UK. I circled it repeatedly in the Argos Catalogue πŸ˜†.
