It's a shame, because there are some great episodes, just off the top of my head:

Omaima Nelson
Shafilea
MH370
the Bethnal Green 3
Otto Warmbier

Seems like the quality peaked in 2019.
Yeah, when you look back at how good and well-researched some of the episodes were, it’s a shame to see how rushed and confusing (and boring) they are now. Casey Anthony, Scott Peterson and Josef Fritzl were some other episodes that were excellent. They’re just spouting out any old tit now since the Wondery move.

I just looked to see where their Melbourne tour show is and somehow ended up on a 2 year old Reddit thread talking about how insufferable they both are, mostly ex-Patreon supporters.
It seems like the way they handled the Hillsborough episode was the catalyst for a lot of people ditching them.
Link please! I have loads to do today so fancy some procrastination!

Yeah I listened to the first 150 odd episodes before I ducked it off, fair play their success is quite something but it’s a shame that it completely compromised the podcast (that was excelle& turned them both insufferable.

Hannah in particular is awful. You can just imagine what a weapon she could be if she was drunk & on her soapbox.

Still just about riding that true crime wave with a few others but surely it won’t be more than a couple of years before they check out & start doing other things, professionally or in their own lives.

Not a fan of how they’ve covered the Constance Marten case
Oh I'm gonna listen. I followed the case closely and the thread on her and am low-key fascinated by it. Haven't listened to RH for a minute so will give it a go

They are coming across very PRO Constance Marten. They seem like they want to be friends with her.

Do you know, that’s what I thought.
I’m not comparing the two women, or their crimes, but something that jumped out at me was how they wrote off Constance’s cringey Facebook posts as a sign of the times almost, yet i remember Suruthi practically frothing with disgust at the fact that Lucy Letby had fairy lights in her bedroom. Of all the things about her to get het up about!
It just seemed like they wanted to excuse any pompousness.
I also found Suruthi’s ‘he probably was’ comment when talking about Mark Gordon being accused to shoplifting when he first met Constance a bit odd.

Is it that odd to make a snide comment about him probably shoplifting? He's a convicted kidnapper and racist at this point.

I took it to mean Suruthi is engaged?
Oh she got the "tall white guy" (her words) of her dreams, congrats. I wonder if she had any other boxes for him to tick.

They are hypocrites and they don't care. In the woman with 2000 personalities episode they completely glossed over and sanitised the mother's role in the girl's lifetime of abuse, yet in several other episodes I can think of they very loudly condemn the co-parent in cases of child suffering or the parent in cases where the kid commits the crime.

Glad I didn't listen, then.

This week it's conspiracy theory time with MKUltra and another bloody multi-parter  so that's around 10 new episodes in a row that I've skipped, I might as well just unfollow. Stick a fork in this pair, they're done.

Probably that he wasn’t South Asian was the main thing. Met and know women like Suruthi who have all married /partnered up with white men. IYKYK

Can't they target their Aussie tour advert to people actually in Australia? I don't know how much longer I can cope with hearing Suruthi say "it is the truth that Hannah speaks" in that annoying way.
