Amanda's parents definitely had a big hand in messing her up. A happy 16 year old does not run away from home.
I remember reading an article years ago where Amanda said she had mono and lost loads of weight and her mum told her she looked the best she had ever looked (around the time she did lovewrecked). It's clear she has huge body dysmorphia issues which isn't surprising seeing as she was put on the stage from 8 years old šŸ˜„

Anyone watch the incredibly embarrassing scripted reaction video from Dan on his YouTube channel? There's a bit in it where he fake crys so badly it's almost like a parody.
I saw it, clearly the answers were very carefully pre written. What does he do now? Is he still writing for shows etc? I saw his wife's some social media chef.

I'd like to think no one would touch him now, but he was so powerful it wouldn't surprise me if he continued writing shows in a few years once the dust settles. He had a reputation for producing hits, but I wonder how much of the talent and heavy lifting was done by all the lower paid writers that he took credit for?
He was apparently paid off $7 million when he left Nick, so he's certainly not hard up

Iā€™m on episode 2 now and every time they show Amanda it now feels completely fake, like sheā€™s putting on a show all the time. And the interviews she gave before the struggles became apparent they too feel so fake like we never actually saw the real Amanda just someone her parents and Dan created and pushed hard to maintain.

There is a clip of Amanda being followed by paparazzi once she clearly is struggling (I canā€™t remember if I saw it on quiet on set aswel) where she hides her face constantly and tried to take the guys camera away and she keeps saying Iā€™ve got to look beautiful, I must look beautiful, itā€™s just heartbreaking. Almost as though she had this fake personality due to many factors (really hope abuse isnā€™t one but feels almost certainly so) and then finally cracked. I really think her parents have a lot more to do with it aswel.

I canā€™t believe Dan was even allowed to put that awful interview out, what a horror show of a man, absolutely vile and that guy interviewing him aswel, how much did they pay him?!

I remember her saying she couldn't watch 'She's the man' because she thought she was so ugly dressed up as a boy. Heartbreaking as she was absolutely stunning šŸ˜¢

She was diagnosed with bipolar at somepoint, I'm not sure how that would have came across when she was younger and acting though. But I agree with never really seeing the real her, all the interviews I've seen she's this happy energetic stage kid l, but doesn't come across as real.

A lot of abusers are nice to the people that theyā€™re not abusing. Thatā€™s also probably the reason that Brian got so many letters of support. They know what theyā€™re doing. Jeanette in her book said that Dan could be lovely one minute and awful the next so we know that he knew how to act nice

I agree with this.
Kenan has spoken and said his heart goes out to everyone telling their story but he personally never saw anything on All That.
I think he was nice to certain people, mainly the boys

It was in Dan's best interest to keep Drake on side, if Drake had gone public, it would have been very bad publicity for Nickelodeon and Dan's job would have been at risk. I think it boils down to Dan looking out for his own interests unfortunately.

Recently started watching the documentary. I was a massive fan of the Amanda show growing up but never watched Drake and Josh as I was too old by the time it came out. Even so, as soon as Drake sat down in the chair at the end of that episode I just started crying. That poor boy. I just can't even begin to imagine the trauma he was subjected to.

The whole pickle boy thing was very unsettling, especially the glory hole bit that they done. I mean wtf. It's hard to comprehend that there are people out there with these disgusting perversions. It's so sad that these children were not protected better. These men basically had free reign to do what they liked. I hope justice can properly be served to everyone involved. These children, now adults, have forever been marked by these experiences and it's obviously affected some of them so badly that they've turned to drugs and alcohol etc to deal with it. I mean, it's just inexcusable. I hope all of the children involved can now find peace, but I fear for those who were the worst affected it's just not possible. Those scars will never fully go away.

The women angered in these poor children's lives annoyed the hell out of me.
Choosing not to ring the police & sensing their kids to these people šŸ˜”

Drakes dad talking about how he suspected something and was made powerless was just heartbreaking
That mum of Brandy in the second ep really angered me. Why would think it was ok for your pre teen daughter to be messaging a grown man online and think it was a ā€œfriendshipā€. And the fact she didnā€™t report it either šŸ˜”

She didnā€™t report it and he ended up continuing with other girls to the point of being arrested. I hope she forever feels guilty for that! Them poor girls could have been saved if sheā€™d reported him

I've got episode 5 on now, can't help but think they're milking this.

The only one of these shows I remember watching was Kenan and Kel, which I loved as a kid. I was taken aback by some of the adult content in there, like the cumshot 'joke' and the weird stuff with potatoes and feet. Those poor kids in that fear factor thing, what the duck was that?! Grown adults taking advantage of child actor's innocence, disgusting.

The Drake episode was harrowing. Child pornography came up as one of the charges. I don't even want to think of the implications of that, frankly. I cannot believe that man got a job with Disney while being a convicted sex offender. I hope the safeguarding is properly considered now for child actors, although what parent would want their child in that environment is beyond me.

I dread to think what actually went on with Amanda Bynes. Fair play to her if she doesn't want to talk about it, her wellbeing is more important.
