I love my hairdresser, but she's the same kind of parent as Ratshit 😬 she's got two teen girls, the older one is currently doing her GCSEs and has been in a school for kids with "challenging behaviour" for the last few years, she's apparently got ADHD and autism, but has been vaping/smoking weed/having unrestricted access to her phone (including looking at porn) since she was about 12. Her mum is constantly making excuses for her and not exactly encouraging her behaviour, but also not addressing it. As an example, when she was about 14 her and a mate sneaked out and went to a nightclub, she didn't even get told off.

The other daughter is a couple of years younger and was absolutely fine until she started secondary school, she'd obviously seen her sister get away with behaving exactly how she wants and decided she'd go down the same route. Not long ago I was in having my hair cut and my hairdresser said "oh she rang me at lunchtime to say she'd been suspended, I asked her what for and she said the teacher wasn't listening to her and sent her to isolation. Then the school rang and I just said to them "you wouldn't listen to my daughter so I'm not listening to you" and put the phone down" 🫣 absolutely no chance that your feral kid might be lying, or was being ignored because she was calling the teacher a wanker or something?

There's no hope when this is the sort of people the schools are up against, is it?

Unfortunately there are a lot of parents like this, which is why there are so many self entitled brats around now. These kids dont stand a chance in the real world

I often wonder what the state of the world will be in the future, when all the adults are these entitled kids who have been dragged up thinking they're something special and the rules don't apply to them. My hairdresser for example, I can't see either of her kids managing to hold down any sort of job, they're rude and have no respect for anyone (including their parents) and would be the sort to walk out because they've been told not they need to wear a uniform, or not take vape breaks every 5 minutes etc. They're just not going to be able to be decent adults that contribute to society.

my friend is a year 4 teacher and tells me the parents are a nightmare, never mind secondary school! they email her to complain about too much homework, too much written work in the classroom, not enough 'free time' or 'mental health days' - then she's got about 8 sets of parents bothering her for a 'supportive statement' to say their kid has SEN so they can claim DLA and carers and other benefits. when she's suggested ideas back for them (strategies, how to engage the kids etc) the parents are NOT interested one bit.

My son is in year 4 and we work out his homework over 4 nights, he never sits for more than 15 minutes doing it. I feel so sorry for teachers now and have the highest respect for them, the tit they have to deal with is astounding!

I think the straw that broke the camel’s back for me with teaching was when a parent emailed me several times to instruct me to never correct her child’s behaviour in front of others, or to discuss her child’s behaviour in front of the child. She wanted me to email her each day to let her know how her child had behaved and she would manage it at home…

The child in question had no (known) additional needs but took great pleasure in targeting the vulnerable children in the class by shutting them in the toilets and hitting them.
They would shout in lessons and tell members of staff that they weren’t the boss of them and they could do whatever they wanted and no one could stop them.

One day at collection time, said child punched and kicked another child in the line. Parent asked what had happened (except I wasn’t allowed to discuss behaviours in front of the child or other parents because they were “sensitive”). Anyway, I tactfully told parent I was dealing with the injured child and would ring her later. I then discovered she’d rung the headteacher to complain about me “humiliating” her child in front of all the parents.

Handed my notice in the next day.

I too fear for this generation. I also feel desperately sad for all the decent children having to experience this crappy behaviour every day in school. I feel complete empathy for any teachers still going in every day.

yep - and she is also the type of person who encourages these parents to 'fight back against the system' and 'dont stop complaining until you get what you want for your child' which sounds fine but no one ever thinks about the teacher dealing with 27 kids and 27 sets of parents. my friend said the kids attendances are awful too! the parents take them out for the dentist at 10:30am and they dont come back to school, most of them are consistently late, the parents dont respond to letters/emails and so on..... nightmare!

Early years is mad at the moment too. They have this weird mix going on, where they can use a phone, iPad, go out for costas, have their nails done and their hair curled … but can’t use cutlery, won’t potty train, rock up with dummies and blankets and scream if you offer them a toy.

I think that some people need to remember that Edie is just a child, she isn't a nightmare or any of the other things she has been called here, she is a product of her environment and there is no wonder her behaviour is as it is right now, anyone watching her life for the last 10 years it has been shared online could see this coming a mile off.

We shouldn't know any of the things we do, and just take a second to think about the fact that the narrative that is being written about her currently is being written by the one person who should be protecting her, but instead has placed her in the public eye, used her ups and downs to fund her lifestyle. Every single opinion you have of that child is based on what her mum has told you about her and that is exactly why her behaviour is as it is right now.

She can still turn things around, but right now she is struggling and behaving in the only way she knows how.

I honestly think that people should think before commenting about her going forward as she can read all of this. She isn't even a teenager yet, I am sure seeing herself called all of the things she has been here, because of what her mother has shared, will become part of the reasons that her behaviour spirals, her mum is obviously unwilling to protect her, her dad is trying but her mum continues to trample all over his efforts because she is a selfish money hungry cow, we don't need to add to things by believing the portrait she is painting.

Her mum deserves all of the comments she gets about her parenting but those children do not deserve any of it, and are not who Rachaele portrays them as at all.

Betsy is nothing like Rachaele portrayed her to be, and everything like we saw her to be in the recent holiday stories, and I believe Edie has time to change her story too!

Also, of course R's editing is spot on to make sure things seem as bad as they can possibly be. The highlighted behaviours, the tantrums, the issues.... sadly we never see these children at their best. (We shouldn't see these children at all but theres not even any balance!)

This in itself is weird. I only “publicise” - to my friends not 67 billion strangers - the good bits of my children. That’s not to show off or pretend the tit things don’t happen, because I will have a cry now and again, but it’s because I love them unconditionally, and choose to celebrate them. She’s never got anything nice to say about them, except occasional “pretty” comments.

Its so bizarre that she can't see that Edie isn't getting taught that lesson because shes disrupts everyone else. How on earth can one teacher just solely deal with your child - what happens if 20 kids want the same. They have no discipline in that house because she raised them for "FML content" and this is the outcome unfortunately.

No idea. She blocked me 😂 I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of a view anyway, you're best off using an anonymous viewing site.

I blocked her 🤣🤣🤣 I always use an anonymous site to see what rit she's posted, I'm not sure if she has it so it automatically posts to FB when she puts stories on Instagram though
