So many people slated this series but I thought it was good and more likely to be realistic
This pleases me, I love any series or films that involves prisons, crime, Police, courts etc. Time came up as a recommendation on IMDB for me the other day and I had a think about giving it a go and then completely forgot about it. Will def give it a go now. Thank you for the recommendation
We're my partner is it's tickets . First in tickets will get threw too visist first . Goes in the order you arrive at the visiting center . I turn up an hour before if your not early you will miss a chunk of your visist were all the people before you will get the checks done

No it doesn’t. Give over. It means those who are first in the queue get treated first. It doesn’t suggest if you’re at the back you’ll get sent home. Imagine the uproar from the prisoners if they told them that had happened. Just because you perceive something to be true doesn’t mean it is true

Most of the prisons I visited and there was a lot it would be first come first served . I would get there as soon as the visitors reception opened which would normally be about 12 and visits started at 2..so I could be in the first group which would get sent across. If you were in one of the last groups you normally wouldn’t get the full visiting time. And when your doing six hour round trips you want to make sure you get every minute. All turned out to be a waste making such a effort as be turned out to be the vilest bloke i had met lol but I would definitely get there at LEAST an hour before bexcc x

I was in a train station a few months ago and a police dog handler and his dog walked past and I had to restrain myself because I’m one of them people that will ask everyone if I can pet their dogs
To be honest, if someone ASKS me with the labratwat (and provided he's not been tasked to do something) I will say yes, because he knows. If he's mid job or off lead then you get yelled at. My other dog is daft as duck but because of the breed etc there is a no touchy rule.That’s hilarious

And sometimes if subjects are scared of dogs it smoothes things over if they can pet the dog first. It won't stop the dog doing its job though

Sitting isn't a +ve indication per se (depending on how they are trained).. It's the dog deferring to their handler. I did the email a prisoner thing today. I like to think I’m reasonably tech savvy but blimey it took me ages to figure out! 
I have a working dog, a labrador assistance dog for my son. I can totally understand why that girl was strip searched for touching the dog... she probably just pissed off the handler

They give you bras. All brand new.
I was given new bra & 3pack of knickers, but had my own sent in. In reception you're given (if needed) clothes (tshirts, jumper, joggers etc) night dress, socks, undies, dressing gown.

C4's "prison" was filmed in 2019 over a few months (then on tv in 2020) & paddy (man who made it) was really nice, when he wasn't filming hed stop & chat. He saw & heard A LOT but kept his word (he didn't tell the screws )
you had to have your pic taken & sign a paper if you agreed to be shown /filmed.
Tbh it's a shame he only got to show 3 episodes. He was filming for ages & loads he could have shown instead of Janine! She's all mouth.

What happens with the washing? Do you get your own clothes /underwear back?
My boyfriend's granddad is in a care home & all the washing goes together, then it just seems to be a free for all - size dependent.
Is it like that?

you can't put underwear in. You have to wash them yourself.
it's always best to become pals with the woman who works in laundry.... That way you get stuff washed whenever, and you can get washing stuff for your own use & your stuff doesn't "accidentally"go missing...
Yu get a netted wash bag& put your dirty washing in it, & it your name, prison no. & cell number. You have allocated days , it also depends what wing your on, if your on an enhanced or long term wing you can do it yourself (depending what jail it is)What happens with the washing?
