Dev's Universal video was just dry, dry, dry. He's not even 30yo and acts more than twice his age, going back to the room at 4pm instead of enjoying the free day with express passes provided by the park or doing something else in the area that evening. It may be that Bianca couldn't hang I guess, so I guess I'll let that slide if that's the case. However, why in the hell would you spend $280 plus $30 parking to stay there one night? Besides the view, there wasn't anything special about that room. He better hope YouTube doesn't dry up anytime soon, cause these little trips are adding up (even though park admission and some extras were provided by the parks). You think an engaged couple would try to be a little bit more frugal to save for the wedding (even if Bianca's dad picks up the tab), honeymoon, and just married life in general. Hell, maybe I'm just frugal, but I'm not spending that much to stay one night anywhere (just because), when I can stay somewhere 1/3 of that and have the same amenities; maybe not the view, but I wouldn't be in my room more than to sleep anyway. I'd be out doing everything I could in the short time I had there, not laid up in bed.

Come on, Dev. They were in California 2 weeks ago, and they're just now posting the Disneyland video? Gotta do better. He just had to post his Epcot F&W Festival (as if that was high priority with it going on for 4 more months ya know) & Polynesian videos ASAP.
I watch YouTube Disney vloggers to perk up when I can't travel. He posts his "depressed" videos a lot which always end with a Patreon plug. Such a downer - I think if this is his career, he should see a therapist for that stuff and keep his channel uplifting and FUN. Feels like it's a sympathy money plug. He's very scattered now. All over the place. Jack of all trades, master of none. He used to specialize in mostly one thing then started to be some all in one travel channel.

He definitely does these "woe is me" videos for a chance to rake in more donations and people joining his channel for monthly fees. It's the same when he goes live, but then he's usually very upbeat and definitely all about the super chats and to push his other donation info. I'm still waiting for these FL attractions he keeps saying he's going to do. He's specifically done videos stating that was his intentions to do a FL roadside attraction trip and not be just a Disney vlogger. I'll believe it when I see it. Lots of people rag on ATW for his receptiveness sometimes, but at least he shoots what the hell he wants and doesn't just try to please his viewers. From watching PCD for about 2 years, when he does do lives and asks the viewers what they want to see, 9/10 always say Disney. As long as he keeps listening to them, he'll never progress and will be stuck doing the same thing day in and out. I'd be bored and unmotivated too, no matter how much I loved something.

We all experience down moments but YT is not your diary or your therapist.

What I also find frustrating about some of these YouTube vloggers is that if something serious were to happen to them people will likely throw their hard earned money at them (gofundme, patreon, other fundraisers) when that wouldn’t be needed if they had a job with benefits (workers comp, disability insurance, etc). There are people who need this help and those people I’m more willing to give (for example a working family that has a house fire and everything is lost or someone with a disability on a fixed income) but when someone is just walking around pointing a camera at Disney it’s hard to call that work.
And I’m sure it can be hard to be creative and come up with ideas and edit well and put forth a nice presentation but so many don’t put forth that effort. Why not take a class to make your content better? I have to take classes to stay up on current events in my field.
Also, when I was self employed, I paid for my own insurance policies. I often wonder if the vloggers do the same for their own protection. Are they planning for life events? It just seems so backwards to go to Disney all the time and then essentially beg for money.
Everything has a shelf life, will these vloggers be doing it in 5-10 years? Doubtful. Eventually the interest will wane and there is only so many times you can record the same videos. For what its worth i like PCD most out of the vloggers as his delivery is the most easy to listen to without lame soundbites (aka sweaty mr morrow)
The problem is the daily vlogging, its not really sustainable. No life or product is THAT interesting. And it's soul destroying to do daily. Problem is these daily vloggers are digging themselves holes they will struggle to get out of
