Preston points out Princess Anne is dropped as a counsellor of state (deputies for the Monarch) while Prince Andrew and Beatrice make the cut.
As a Princess Anne fan, I find this despicable. King Charles has to do better than that.
I don't think Charles has any choice in the matter to be fair. Anne would be a much better choice though.

Well, if Charles wants the Monarchy to survive then he needs to change certain aspects.
There is no way that the majority of the public will stand for Andrew being back in the front line. Or the 'commercial' go it alone Duke of Sussex profiting even more from the Royals, whilst demanding we subsidise his existence in the UK.
Can he or Parluament not change it? He can say he's getting rid of male primogeniture for his sister too for eg and have her instead of Andrew. It would only affect her as Charles has two sons Zara is not a working Royal and its already been changed for Charlotte.
Surely though all protocol is out the window when a Royal has been stripped of their royal patronages and military titles? or has it all been given quietly back?
Normally and quite meanly on my part I think Royal staff get what they deserve for willingly putting up with all they do just so they can walk backwards out of a room the Royals are in for minimum wage but that is just unnecessary. Yes their jobs will no longer exist but still you could wait a couple of weeks.
The only plus side is that having working for the Royal family on your CV makes you highly desirable for other employers.

Anne loses out because of the stupid rules in play when she was born. Female children came second to male children even if the female was born first back then.
It's all that primogeniture bollox that means Andrew is above Anne in the line of succession.
It's all changed now so a younger brother is not put in front of an older sister in the line of succession.

Charles is known to find Andrew 'unhelpful.'
But Charles wasnt the Boss until now so he had to put up with him.
I'll be very surprised if Charles doesnt fix all of that once the funeral is over.
I get the feeling he's getting all the protocols and urgent official duties regarding the transition of monarch and swearing in of new parliament etc done and dusted then he'll have a period of quiet reflection and personal mourning and then......
