New podcast episode is out. The description of Preston having a poo in the bath is so weird and perverted , that poor little boy .
JV is also giggling quite a bit in interviews, it's all a massive laugh isn't it 🙄
Sounds like some kind of fetish 🤮🤢 I just can’t believe the details as the days go by.

How an innocent baby got thrown to the wolves like this is a fucking travesty.

I'd probably avoid posting names and photos of Preston's parents, they have nothing to do with what's happened to him. I wouldn't like my name or photo appearing in a gossip forum if I were in their situation.
I get that people are curious but they deserve what privacy they can get at this point.
I totally agree. Preston’s relatives should be off limits during a live trial investigating his murder which we know they did not cause. Please remember, the trial is live and the first jury were discharged for reasons not in the public domain.

Just the photos of Preston in the bath surely show that there seems to be a fascination/ obsession with his genitals which surely indicate that this guy is a full blown pdf....if he doesn't go to jail then there's no hope or justice in this world. My little boy is 4 and iv done the majority of the baths in his short little life and I can honestly say iv got very few pictures of him naked in the bath. Of course you get the odd one with bubbles on their head, and iv got a gorgeous one of him smiling with his big blue eyes! But NEVER have the genitals been the main focus of the photo....this guy is absolutely sickening and a full blown pdf. That poor little boy, I'm absolutely heartbroken for him. How did society ever get to this point? If I had my way all pdfs should have their genitals cut off, seems its the only way. Vile, vile monster. My heart goes out to all of Prestons family and everyone who loved him.

IMO JMF is 100% guilty of exactly what JV is. He just wasn’t participating when it killed Preston.
Agree and I think he was just the more intelligent one of the pair and has hid it better.

I think JV might have been more aggressive in his abuse due to anger towards Preston though.

This is nothing compared to what was to come but calling him annoying after the very first sleep over? And wanting to put him in the field of cows?

A friend described him as dramatic and flamboyant but it meant nobody took his awful language towards a particularly vulnerable baby concerning.

I think Jamie is definitely the abuser and John just did nothing to stop the abuse which is just as bad. Not a single person on this thread would stand by whilst our partners abused our children. He can fuck off with his disgusting husband. I tell my husband off for slightly raising his voice at my babies.

A few points that have occurred to me, having just caught up on yesterday’s live reporting and the summary of the podcast given above. Can they not use location data on the hot tub photo? Where was it, who was there and wtf was going on?! The bruises to his head, omg you can see what is insinuated by the description of them. There’s so many things wrong- am I the most nervous parent ever that I would NOT have had 5 cuddly toys and various blankets in my child’s cot. It’s a suffocation hazard and they weren’t even allowed more than one or two once they were bigger and sleeping in a bed. Describing him snuggling and chewing them makes Preston sound like a pet dog in a crate. Yes I am aware babies chew soft things, my eldest would chew a vest or his own sock because he never wanted a dummy. “Free Willy time”- that’s something I might have done when they were tiny if I was struggling with nappy rash but it’s been largely discounted as helpful and a barrier cream and clean nappy are preferable. I wouldn’t have done that once they were older with larger volume of wee and old enough to rummage their privates (none of mine really did that though I’m aware it’s not uncommon for little boys and they had taken videos of Preston doing it, the sickos). Leaving a baby who is at risk of attachment disorder to cry and whimper so you can prove to yourself he’s manipulative and whiny! That’s one of the most misguided (I’m being generous), cruel and or narcissistic things I’ve heard. I just can’t get over the audacity of JV dismissing the internal injuries. There was nobody else there to cause them on his final day. I think a focus is being made on the bladder because the defence will probably use the doctor’s words about the appearance of his bottom sometimes being seen after a resuscitation to push for reasonable doubt. I think it tells us a lot about JV’s experience of blagging his way through life and utter delusional narcissism that he expects people to take his word for it just because he says it. He’s been given a free pass too many times by acting dramatic and superior and he’s just expecting the same in the police interviews imo

Sounds like Preston has bruises to his forehead almost constantly. Yes, babies of that age very occasionally bang their heads hard enough to bruise, but the sight of Preston with new bruises appearing on his head all the time should have rang alarm bells. JV’s mother saw him a lot - what on earth did she think?

Her comment at the hospital suggested she had fears that he was being mistreated.

I don't hope he's enjoying it at all, I just mean he isn't gonna see the light if day again after this and will live his weasily existence in terror.
Same - I hope that he's sick with fright, and that all his worst nightmares become a hideous reality for the next 40 years at least.

I really hope Preston and his family get the justice that they deserve. I can't understand why anyone would want to hurt an innocent and defenceless child who just wanted to be loved.
I'm thinking a big part of at least one of those men wanting a baby was to abuse him. There were photos of Preston's anus and genitals, there's no excuse in the world that makes that okay.
Even if he had a rash or whatever you wouldn't take a photo?

Yes, I think it’s likely due to being suffocated with a penis and/or semen being breathed into the lungs.

Not dim at all. It hadn’t occurred to me that the suffocation occurred in this way until someone outright said so on Twitter. Such depravity just doesn’t cross ordinary people’s minds.

I’m not an expert but I’m assuming the restriction of his airways was stopping oxygen from getting to his brain for periods of time…I think this might also be why he had his timer out but this is just me putting 2+2 so I may be wrong about that
It looks to me like Varley was quite blasé that afternoon about Preston struggling to breathe because he had always recovered before.
He took the video at 4.45pm and within three minutes was chatting to McGowan about buying a kayak 😡
I reckon that it was only when McGowan got home shortly after 6pm and he saw how bad Preston was, that it was him who insisted they must take him to hospital, and they set off about 6.20pm.

I doubt he was actually adopted as a child has to be with adopters for 10 weeks before they make the adoption application. The application is then lodged with the court and a court hearing date awaited. as he was only with them for 4 months, I suspect he was still a looked after child.

Therefore he would have been open to social care, had an allocated social worker who would have got alerts each time he presented at hospital. There should have been quite an intensive transition period from foster carers to adopters with numerous social worker visits once Preston would have been placed with these monsters.

the other red flag is when a child is placed with adopters they have to have permission to change the child’s first name. Was the social worker aware that one of the Dads was calling him something else?

A longer 6 minute video
Absolute bell end.

I haven't said this before but I do think in society straight women especially hold gay men to such high esteem. They think they can do no wrong and desperately want to be a fag hag. I think that probably played some part here for social workers who are often female and hospital staff who all turned a blind eye because they think so highly of gay men. You even see it now with the success of Heated Rivalry, some straight women thrive off gay men

I just can't get my head around hurting a baby, I'm not a maternal person but we know we're bigger and stronger and the baby isn't being difficult or moody on purpose.
This case has really got to me.

It's interesting you say about complaints because Varley and McGowan did put in a complaint about the foster parents:

That poor woman must be broken, knowing what happened to poor little Preston. I hope she doesn't blame herself - it seems she did everything she could to raise awareness that there was something terrible going wrong, even though she can't possibly have imagined how bad it was.

My heart goes out to her and her husband.

Seeing the hospital admissions written out like that is mind blowing, how did his arm not raise an immediate red flag?! The prosecutor said "a part of the bone was caused to sheer off", how many here with children have had them have an arm fracture at that age? So infuriating it wasn't investigated further.

I don’t know I think if I reached BNE level I would pick & choose my cases & defending this pos would not be 1 of them
In order to ensure access to justice I don’t think that they can pick and choose. The rules are strict and they can only decline for the following reasons:
  • Conflict of Interest: Acting for the client would break professional conduct rules.
  • Lack of Expertise: The case is outside the barrister's practice area.
  • Unavailability: The barrister has previous commitments.
  • Improper Payment

This just keeps hitting me so hard. I think because he's the same age as my son. They are so trusting and loving and always looking for connection. Even with all they were doing to him, he could find happiness and strength. For some reason the cruelty they showed him upsets me more than the SA (which is obviously absolutely abhorrent), it's like they couldn't let him be happy between the assaults. Part of me wonders if death was kinder considering this could have gone on for years and years more.

That poor angel. I want to see this trial out because he deserves to have people know what happened to him.

My heart is so sad for him.
