Preston Davey Trial #4

JMF’s biggest problem is that the medical evidence shows Preston died long before he claims he was sat up, only going floppy and unconscious in the car. That medical evidence fits much better with a video 1:45hr mins beforehand that shows Preston in an extreme medical emergency which JV wildly claims he recovered enough to be normally playing in the bath not long after.

It the jury concedes that this is all lies from JMF, then they have to ask why? If the jury accepts that the cause of the episode that leads to Preston’s death was the very obvious and agreed evidence of a violent sexual assault, then there is very similar evidence of the same thing happening when JMF was home on the 23rd of July. That his sperm is in mixed samples and this shouldn’t be a piece of evidence held in isolation. Nor should it be held in isolation that if they accept abuse happened in that bath, where Preston is repeatedly filmed and photographed inappropriately, how likely is it that JMF is in there naked with him just perfectly innocently?

I am really hoping it all unravels for him today. If they can show he watched the 14 minute video of Preston alone in a bath of water but has told the jury he’s only aware of it now then it will immediately show him as somebody willing to deceive the jury.

It almost seems like this trial is an inconvenience to him, like it’s just something he’s having to do, going through the motions. I can almost imagine them rolling their eyes at the sheer audacity of the questioning. As if it’s not a case where a baby has been sexually assaulted and killed. They both seem really arrogant and I hope they get an almighty shock at verdict time. I can’t wait for the dramatic whaling and screaming from JV as that guilty verdict comes in.
This is exactly how I feel from the limited reporting we hear, would love to know what their interactions are in court.
When found guilty I bet JV will have a medical episode…. And won’t appear at sentencing.

My little one tries to squeeze my hand and asks if I can squeeze theirs the hardest I can- I tell them I can’t do that because I don’t want to hurt them. That’s only little fingers- how did they believe he went to lie him down and his arm just broke!!? I think I missed that bit of the reporting! I was under the impression he’d knocked the arm as he was lifted from the cot and it got caught or something- but still knew a force had been used.
I think that they gave several stories about how the broken arm occurred.

It’s struck me that everywhere I’ve read about this case there are people saying they’re crying tears for Preston, can’t get him out of their minds, even having sleepless nights/nightmares about it. Then this guy gets on the stand saying it’s “silly” and “stupid”. If he was telling the truth he would be distraught and devastated. He knows that JV is guilty at least and anyone with any decency would be contrite and accepting, and would have dropped JV long ago after piecing together what he claims he didn’t realise at the time. But he’s only now showing disdain when it’s convenient and he’s trying to save his own skin. His defence has skirted around the fact he’s stayed with JV after they were arrested and he’s had disclosure but it won’t have escaped the jury’s attention.

I have seen Preston’s bio Mum’s TikTok. It seems attention seeking to me ‘my poor baby boy….oooh look at my nails’. Obviously, that’s only a snapshot so I’m trying not to be too judgy. Co treat that to his foster Mum though, she’s acted with such dignity throughout, granted she might not be allowed to talk publicly about things but the way she’s fought for Preston speaks volumes.

Let’s also not forget the teacher friend JV visited and told that he had dark thoughts of drowning Preston. Why she did nothing about that, I honestly don’t understand.
Unfortunately, it was very clever of JMF to say “if he said that, I just don’t understand why she didn’t tell me” rather than no no that isn’t true and can’t be true. He’s highly manipulative.

I hope they point out to him today that he just sat scrolling on his phone as Preston had just died. I’m sure he’ll claim shock but his reaction was just as wildly unnatural as JV’s just at the other end of the scale.

I can remember reading about all of these incidences - I didn't realise it was the same hospital!

Poor Preston - everything in his life went against him in those last few months.

(Is it a particularly busy and understaffed hospital? I can't think how any hospital could be so appalling otherwise. (Not that there is an excuse for any of it, but if staff are grossly overworked, they may miss vital clues)
Honestly i just assumed because it’s in Blackpool, one of the most deprived areas in the country 🙁

The photo of Preston with the foster dad is just heartbreaking 💔 so tiny and content, they both look so happy. I can’t comprehend how devastated those foster parents must be 💔💔💔

Ah Preston’s bruises are being explained by his slight squint, a common ailment that doesn’t tend to leave most children bruised and battered. Don’t know about all of you but if my non mobile baby was constantly pulling things down on to himself, enough to cause 40+ injuries, I’d be looking at baby proofing my home a little better.

My nephew is on the blind register. He can see a couple of feet in front of him and has problems distinguishing colours and depth. My 2 other nephews have had squint surgery. None of them were ever been covered in bruises as babies, toddlers or active boys.

My daughter had a strabismus when she was a baby. She still does in fact as we are still waiting for surgery. She was also a late walker and didn't crawl as she bum shuffled. She wasn't more accident prone or had more bruising than any other kid at her nursery or my friends' kids from baby ground.
The only bruise to her head was when she tried to reach something on a table next to the sofa and slipped off and hit her head on the table. No fingertip bruising or grab marks. No bruising on her bottom.

So changing the narrative of telling the hospital staff Preston had got the bruises from pulling the toy box on his head to it being "this is an example of how he has got them".
Lying b.
They thought this was so clever. Filming him doing something like that. But the nurse they showed it to remembered thinking how odd to stand there and film it happen rather than jump in to stop it. I think it’s likely he set up the whole thing.
