I know the defence have to do their job but I was really hoping they’d give a half hearted attempt in their closing speech, knowing that justice needs to prevail.
Don’t know how they sleep at night 😢

They have to do the best they can, otherwise he might be able to appeal on the grounds of his defence not doing a good job. Hopefully there are enough intelligent people on the jury 🤞

I firmly believe they will be found guilty. No one here thinks they are innocent and we haven't seen or heard half of what the jury have. I am confident there will be justice for Preston.

There is absolutely no way these 2 are walking free regardless the jury have seen alot more than what we have videos and images, they are also watching them both can probably tell alot by body language. 100% they will be done for cruelty and neglect and murder who the hell leaves a child alone in the bath for starters and also leaves him over the cot bars until hes blue and spin him on a toy that hes passing out on. The intentions have been there from the get go.
He could have been done for murder straight away if preston died from the cot incident let alone everything else even the video the day he died struggling and clearly dying whilst he was more interested in selling his stuff. The bath incident was clearly a lie you dont have dry hair after getting out shower or even drowning in the bath so hes clearly a liar.
The jury are going to see through it all and these 2 will get life sentences. If they dont then I will lose all faith in the justice system.
These 2 evil scumbags knew exactly what they where doing and they are sitting in a court room bare faced lying !
JUSTICE FOR PRESTON !!!!!! 💔

Did you notice the defence said the pathologist had 30 years experience when she was actually 1 year off 40 years experience. I thought that was cheeky. And I have had to skim the defence. However, if it was done badly JV could potentially use it as a reason to appeal and Nick Johnson will know that.
It doesn’t stop me being anxious, Nick is a great communicator.

They will sleep better knowing that the inevitable conviction is watertight. And it's watertight because they have done everything they could to skip over the damning bits.

It's one of those jobs where you have to be able to distance yourself. I doubt I could do it.

O don't understand this off fighting his sleep argument. If that were true you'd see him not falling asleep no matter how much they are trying, you see the opposite. A baby who is exhausted being kept awake.

This is exactly what I think happened.
And it also explains JV saying "I killed him" and "I'm going to hell" at the hospital and why JV vomited at the hospital.
I know a lot of people think his carry on at the hospital was performative and I understand why but I think he was genuinely panicking because he knew he was caught red-handed.
There’s so many things like that keep pinging in my mind. Like JV saying he was angry at Preston for leaving him. Anger is part of the grief process (he’s probably read that somewhere) but here he was angry because Preston dropped him in it by dying, and angry that his toy broke before he finished playing with it. It makes me feel sick just typing that out but I think it’s true.

Exactly.

I used to think how can anyone defend rum, but if nobody did - and I know in any case it's part of the job - then a trial couldn't take place at all. Nothing will bring this beautiful little baby back. It's unbearable to even think about what Preston was put through but I hope at least, that justice will be done. I hope they never see daylight again except through prison bars.
