Welcome to the club and congratulations !!!

I’m the same as you size wise and also finding flattering clothes atm hard . Basically living in leggings and my husband’s oversized t shirts . I am soooo bloated and gassy - but this is my third so I think it could be a bump even though I’m only just 9 weeks 🫠 it’s hard huh !!!

Is this your first ?
Thank you!

It will be my first, yep, and at almost 36 years old and all my friends had their kids in their 20's so I'm super conscious of my age too!

Leggings and husband's t shirts sounds so comfy but fortunately for my husband he's a twig so his clothes are of absolutely no use to me 😆

I've had a little look at maternity clothes in various shops and they're so boring! I'm a self-confessed elder emo and will live and die in skinny jeans so I think I'm really going to struggle clothes-wise! Thankfully with the summer coming up there's the option of nice floaty dresses but until then, I might become a hermit and stay in my pj's as much as possible 😅

Turned 40 and was a size 18/20 when pregnant here 👋. Maternity skinny jeans are life changing! Otherwise maybe buy a size up of your normal skinny jeans (Vinted is your friend!) for now as it’s early? Vinted is the best for maternity stuff, most brands have moved their maternity offerings to online only and whilst there isn’t much that is inspiring online either I imagine what is left in the shops is proper crap! Quite a lot of my normal clothes stayed with me through a lot of my pregnancy to be fair, depends on the cut and the fit!

14w 1d with fraternal twins. I had very little symptoms first trimester other than the odd day of nausea. Now I don’t feel pregnant at all, anyone else? I thought I’d be feeling some kind of pressure or presence on my abdomen by now. I do have a tiny bump but all of my ligament pain, stretching etc has been gone for about 10 days. I’m not complaining but still can’t stop worrying!

I actually got more pain in the 2nd trimester with my singleton than I did with my twins! However, not to scare you (everyone is different), but the 3rd trimester for me was a killer with PGP. Getting out of bed, walking up and down stairs was unbearable. I think you will always worry throughout pregnancy (especially carrying twins) but yeah I can't even remember feeling many pains at all at that gestation so hopefully nothing for you to worry about!

Why did I not think of doing a search for maternity skinnies?! 🤦‍♀️ that's a good shout for going up a size on a Vinted pair too - I'll have a look - thank you for the tips! Some of my normal clothes may be alright, I lived in baggy jumpsuits last summer so they may come in handy 😊

So I’ve got my 12 week scan tomorrow and I’m so nervous, excited, worried and everything in between! I’ve started telling some close friends as I live far away and was seeing them in person. I just have a horrible feeling something might be wrong and then I’ve told my friends and then I’ll have to tell them again. Everyone keep fingers and toes crossed.

Found out today I've had another missed miscarriage. Thought I was 10w5d but scan said 5w6d and no way my dates are that far out. Self-referred to EPU who said they can't offer any intervention until I have another scan in a week. Way to make a traumatic experience more traumatic. I've felt sick the whole way through so had assumed/hoped everything was fine, lost all trust in my body.

So sorry to hear this. Try and be kind to yourself 💜

Due in September, sleep with nothing on, a fan in the room, no heating on, so WHY am I running at 5098838 degrees 😭 woke up in a pool of my own sweat, so so grim. If I'm struggling now, I dread the summer 🙈

This is me, but this was also me before I was pregnant. I can’t sleep without a window wide open so now I am panicking about how I will
Sleep without a baby in my room that can’t sleep in my freezer

You can get really thick tog onesie sleepsuits so their arms and legs stay warm as well as their bodies

We had our scan, it was so bizarre and lovely haha. We even had baby having a little wiggle and wave. Apparently they’re chilling in at my hip.
The sonographer and the midwife were both so lovely. Went to get bloods afterwards and the midwife was like “does it feel a bit more real you know it’s not all in your head.” I have never felt more seen. I was like omg yes it makes me feel less crazy!
Now just waiting for testing to come back. I’m trying not to google!

This was me last night and the pregnancy pillow was even hotter. I’m due in early August and don’t know how i’ll survive the peak whale phase at the hottest time of year 🫠

In the exact same position !!
Found out a couple of weeks ago we are having a little girlie, and I can't lie I'm so worried at the thought of having a mini me 😂
I've not had any cravings at all, and ended up in triage for abdominal pains which was a bit of a scare but I think baby girl was just laid funny for a good few days as the pain has thankfully eased off.

Loving catching up on everyones updates here, and sending all the love to those struggling / going through it xxx

Glad it has eased off for you now!
We found out we’re having a boy, and even though I knew deep down it was a boy, I’m so unprepared! I always pictured myself with girls.
I’ve not had much in the way of cravings either. I got lemon squash on clubcard price and have been chugging away on that happy as a clam and peeing even more than I was before 😂

Spent almost all my work day on Friday (after being off on Thursday) in maternity triage... turns out I've got a UTI but for a while they were concerned about pre-term labour as the CTG was showing mild contractions (I guess irritation from the UTI causing bladder/uterine spasms?). Feeling a lot better than I did on Thursday when I slept most of the day but still a bit bleh.

Probably should get the newborn essentials sorted out really 🙃

With my first, she was born in June 23, which isn't usually that bad but no, had to be the hottest week in the month didn't it 🙃 going to buy a chest freezer to sleep in if it carries on xo

Those of you who have been pregnant with a toddler, how did you do it? I am so exhausted. I'm only 32 weeks and genuinely don't think I will survive the next 8 weeks. I have the worst insomnia and the lack of sleep is torture. There is no downtime as I am working 4 days and then have my son to look after. I can't even look forward to evenings and night time as I cannot sleep. I am so big and heavy... I need to sit down for a minute everytime I carry toddler upstairs.

Oh and husband and I got the sicknenss bug so we were wiped out all weekend whilst our son was full of beans.

I have a midwife appointment this week and I'm going to ask if there is anyway I can be induced bang on 37 weeks as I can't do it!!

I'm 38 weeks and on crutches as can't weight bear due to pelvic pain. Can't lift my daughter either, can't bend down, can't carry anything. I've got my daughter for 10 hrs today solo while my partner works. She's 22m. It's extremely difficult especially bc I can't leave the house with her either! Luckily we have a garden and it's a lovely day so we'll be out there most of the day and she communicates pretty well, she's no trouble at all, I feel blessed. Idk what I'd do if we couldn't go out though.
I had induction last time and really don't want to go through that again so I'm just powering through. But definitely ask if it's something you'd consider, hopefully they'll induce you sooner as you say.
I'd say just try and be easy with yourself. It's soo easy to feel mum guilt and to also put so much pressure on ourselves. But you got to do what's right for you and your circumstances. Do you have any annual leave to use up or anything so you can give yourself some rest? Any adjustments they can make at work for you? I'm sure you've probably already looked into all this.
