Had my 20 week scan today, and found out we’re expecting a boy! I also have a raging cold and discovered I can take absolutely nothing, so my OH is in for a real treat of pregnancy snoring and sniffling tonight 😍
Blocked sinuses was one of my biggest first trimester symptoms and I bought one of those humidifier machines that you can put essential oils in and I would put decongestant oils in and have it running when I went to sleep. Absolute life saver! Only a few quid from Amazon. Also used to put lemon oil in for nausea as well.

14 weeks today - had a consult appointment and they told me that I have severely low Vitamin D results and may have a water infection which is just fab hahaha.
Got some vit d supplements for the next 6 weeks, and on the way out to the car park, my husband reiterated that he told me I was low on vitamin d and could help me out  :ROFLMAO: that's the whole reason I'm pregnant again hun xo

Has anyone experienced quite regular braxton hicks? I was at the hospital last night for reduced movements and the midwife needed the doctor to check the trace over because she said they’re quite frequent. They seemed to match up to whenever baby kicked however I have had them quite frequently since around 25 weeks (I’m 34 weeks now). I never really had them in my first pregnancy and wasn’t overly worried about them as they’re not coming in any sort of regular pattern but now I feel worried 🤣 I’m glad the midwife was lovely about it and I’d rather they raised any concerns but every twinge now I’m like oh no 🙈

Had a call from our local midwife unit today, and my booking appointment is in for the 20th April where I’ll be around 9 weeks so that’s good !

thought I was getting away with not much sickness yet (I’m 6 weeks tomorrow) but I’ve spent all afternoon throwing up after seeing the sight of an open thing of sour cream in the fridge … so that’s not so good 😅

Had my 20 week scan today. The relief seeing the wee heart beat was so magical 🫶🏼

I am really struggling with the body changes though. My bump doesn’t look like what I had always pictured. Pre-pregnancy I had a 5 year weight loss journey to get to my ‘heathly’ weight and lost over 7 stone. It’s really messing with my head how much my body is changing (I know it’s for the most amazing reason and I am really grateful it’s finally happened) does anyone have any tips?

I always tell myself this is my home for my baby and I wouldn't judge the state of a friends home, let alone a loved ones!

My blood tests (apart from my FBC which needs repeating as it took too long to get to the lab) all came back fine but I am still so itchy. I guess I just keep waiting and seeing if it gets worse 🤷‍♀️

I feel this. I lost 6ish stone previously and had went down clothes sizes etc. I’m struggling now with clothes not fitting and at times the worry that I’ll be large again. I also don’t have a perfect bump as I have an apron belly but since 23/24 weeks when I have clothes on you can tell it’s a bump which really helps my mindset

Did anyone suffer with a metallic/ bitter taste in their mouth during pregnancy? Google says it’s common, particularly in the first trimester. I’m 27 weeks and only got it a couple of weeks ago. Google also says it can sometimes last after pregnancy. I really hope that’s not the case as it’s gross!
I had a horrible taste in my mouth 90% of my pregnancy it was awful. Nothing got rid of it but giving birth 😫

I was in hospital at 29 weeks and the midwives kept asking me about mine as they were very frequent and strong (and seemed to be a pattern)! I was carrying twins and the way they would look at me after seeing the "contractions" was like they were expecting me to go into labour any minute😂 obviously I was higher risk anyway due to twins so I was constantly anxious but I managed to get to my scheduled c section at 36+5!

I finally have my 12 week scan in the morning! I'm so so nervous though. Had a scan at 6 and 8 weeks and all looked good and was discharged from the recurrent miscarriage clinic.
I'm just so so scared... I hope my baby is ok and growing in there x
had my scan, all looks great, baby was wriggling and flipping about so she was struggling to take measurements 😅
I was supposed to be 12 weeks yesterday but they put me at 12w3d which is amazing.
has anyone booked a gender scan at 15 weeks? I don't think I can go another 8 weeks without seeing my baby lol x

If it was up to me I would have booked gender scans both times but my husband didn’t see the point and we waited until 20 weeks to find out. It’s so hard waiting so I definitely think you should book it!

That’s how I felt, almost as if to say no we can’t have baby here yet and I was sat there like labour doesn’t feel anywhere near🤷🏻‍♀️ She asked me about my pain threshold as if I just didn’t feel pain and maybe wasn’t noticing them. I was like no I’ve had a baby and if it was as painless as these braxton hicks I’d be a very happy woman but it’s not 😂

I had mine booked for 16 weeks. He wouldn’t play ball, although I seen he was a boy but she didn’t want to confidently say so I was rescanned at 17 weeks and it was confirmed. I done it with my first too and luckily he did play ball and we found out at 16 weeks 😊

I was going to wait until 20 weeks with our current third fetus but I couldn't do it and we found out at 14 weeks. We found out with our first at 15 weeks and the second was a surprise.

If it helps with your decision, the 20 week scan has always presented a problem for us (thankfully, everything always ended up fine and healthy) but the 20w scan for me has always been incredibly stressful and the last thing i cared about was the gender. With the first and third, I was grateful we didn't have the memory of finding out the gender during such an emotional and stressful time. You do what you want 💜

Congratulations! I had my 12 week scan yesterday and was at 11w6 so now 12 weeks. I think I’m going to book a private scan for about a months time because I think another 2 months wait is so long 😭 we don’t want to find out the gender though

Hi all,
recently found out I am pregnant with no4 my youngest is 8 so a big gap currently freaking out has anyone got any positive stories 🥺🤩
My husband was ten when his youngest sister was born (he was the baby up until that point) and they are the closest siblings I have ever met. X

Any tips for the wait between finding out your pregnant to having a scan and booking appointment? Im so anxious, this would be my second baby. I had my first when I was only 19 years old, im 30 now

I would put myself at approximately 6 weeks pregnant but my cycles were pretty irregular too so not sure. I dont wanna go for a scan for them to say its too early. Any other ideas? Lool
