Mine are useless too.. can I ask which hospital you’re under? Mine begins with W?Update- I’ve been to my GP and they actually don’t think it’s that and they aren’t concerned either. My community midwives were absolutely useless and basically asked why was I calling them and didn’t even ask to see a picture! I was following NHS guidelines!

We also get gaslit in Ireland if it helps, I've been in agony with thrush the last day or so , even had a small bleed because of a cut and was just told use canesten. I've barely been able to move
I’m so sorry your midwives weren’t helpful! Reading people’s experiences on here makes me realise I really took for granted the antenatal care in my area - it makes me so sad this isn’t a universal experience for all womenUpdate- I’ve been to my GP and they actually don’t think it’s that and they aren’t concerned either. Congratulations, how are you feeling about it all?Sooo… I’m pregnant. Around 5 weeks. My first is 7, and I feel like a first timer. I called the GP to get into the antenatal system, and they directed me to a website for electronic notes. The Maxi Cosi car seat we had last time needs replacing. I know I have ages but my brain is struggling to get into gear. I’m also insanely fatigued, which isn’t helping.![]()
Congratulations!! I’m the same as you, I have a bigger age gap and I’ve spent half my pregnancy like wtfSooo… I’m pregnant. Around 5 weeks. My first is 7, and I feel like a first timer. Nervous, tbh. My last pregnancy wasn’t straightforward and I forgot how hard I found the waiting, and just the hoping that everything will be okay. Ugh.Congratulations, how are you feeling about it all?
It’s literally to the point where I’m like… I need someone to tell me what’s changed. I think I’ll join an antenatal group anyway since all my friends are out of the baby stage, but honestly I feel like I need teaching.Congratulations!! I’m the same as you, I have a bigger age gap and I’ve spent half my pregnancy like wtfSo much seems to have changed in what feels like not long at all really. Take care of yourself, the first trimester is rough!
I’m 22 weeks post partum and still wrapping my head around the fact that there is a baby!20 weeks this week and I’m now starting to tit myself this is really happening 🫣
Has anyone with older children used reusable nappies? Really do not want to use disposable ones but no idea where to start!
Oh I didn’t know we got a voucher.I’m 22 weeks post partum and still wrapping my head around the fact that there is a baby!
Some local councils have incentives around reusable nappies, usually a free starter kit at least. In Scotland you get a voucher for the free starter kit in the baby box. I got them with the best of intentions but… I just haven’t tackled that at all at this point. Absolutely fair play to you for even considering reusables!
It seems like a pretty decent kit to try out!Oh I didn’t know we got a voucher.
its one thing I have been adamant about since the start even when my family tell me I’m being ridiculous but I’ll show them![]()
There is a good page on the gram called thenappymarket with loads of info. I was going to use them but the initial cost scared me and I just thought what if I spend all that money and can’t use them. Plus I thought I wouldn’t cope with all the washing.. laughing at the now what a silly reason it was given the amount of washing I did anyway20 weeks this week and I’m now starting to tit myself this is really happening 🫣

My sister on laws both used them , one was based in US and one in Ireland. There is incentives here to use them such as a free nappy starter. It seemed like a faff to me and that for my SIL to have grandmother's change baby she had to use disposables as they were allergic to doing it. She also used disposables when they went away from home but otherwise she's all for it . Couldn't convince me personally as I would think it's just another load in washing machine but worked well for them - you can get loads of designs and they are cute20 weeks this week and I’m now starting to tit myself this is really happening 🫣
