Had some bleeding today I’ve got a scan booked at the EPU tomorrow. I’m only 9weeks so it’s quite worrying. Fingers crossed everything’s ok with my little bean
Probably doesn’t help but I’m close as well (not planning a c section) and I’m so over pregnancy but also know they have to come outJust venting
Planned CS next week. Worried sick. I hope it goes well. I'm tired of being pregnant but worrying about the long recovery after.
Same boat here! I’m due a week Friday and I hate I cannot control when baby might arriveProbably doesn’t help but I’m close as well (not planning a c section) and I’m so over pregnancy but also know they have to come out![]()
Agreed to just make sure you keep on top of the pain killers and don’t just wait because you feel okay. If you haven’t got a good stock in at home it may be worth stocking up on some between now and then.Just venting

Oh bless you, I know you and I are pretty close in terms of due dates and this last stretch is such a slog even without being ill on top!I’ve been hit pretty bad by a cold.
What are the things you can/can’t take?
I read Olbas oil is off limits? Can we have anything ffs![]()
Bugger I’m just under 37 wks. Didn’t sleep a wink last night. I have a scan today which is good timing so I might ask them if there’s anything I can do.Oh bless you, I know you and I are pretty close in terms of due dates and this last stretch is such a slog even without being ill on top!
I’ve had two horrendous colds and I basically rawdogged them because I was so anxious! Paracetamol for the aches and pains but yes not olbas oil. I think the internet said vapour rub was okay but to check with your doctor so I didn’t use it, I did do warm water and stick my head under a tea towel over the bowl of steaming water to try and unblock my nose which wasn’t very effective because I couldn’t put in olbas oil! I think (according to my mum) once you’re past the 37 week mark it matters less as baby is fully developed and just needs to grow but I would still have been too anxious even if this is the case! I’m so glad to have finished work and have been organised with all my jabs because proper full blown flu is doing the rounds at my school and both my parents have had RSV from my nephew. I feel like I’d hate to have been heavily pregnant in the summer (those of you who have been are absolute troopers!) but being pregnant during the winter I think is rough because there are so many bugs around that we still catch but can do sweet FA to treat! I’m glad I got out of work before sickness bug season started, it’s usually around now they all start dropping like flies with it but I think it’s been flu instead this year…
Oh that is good timing! I always say this about men, if they had to be pregnant there would be so much stuff they could do or take! I had my two colds before 32 weeks or something so felt I couldn’t do or take anything! My partner on the other hand whinged and moaned throughout the whole cold I passed on to him when he can work at home, get up when he likes because of this and take proper cold and flu tablets, I was still teaching year 4 full time and not taking anythingBugger I’m just under 37 wks. If men were pregnant there’d be 4 alternatives to all the cold remedies we can’t have![]()
at the end of my last pregnancy between 35-36weeks I used olbas oil anywayI’ve been hit pretty bad by a cold.

I've not had a section but I've heard planned sections are very relaxedJust venting

I feel like I could have wrote this , my husband is sick with a chest infection and to be fair he does have a fever etc but he's dying I mean dying .. but I'm like here is all the drugs you can take and he took a week off work to get better . In my NCT group three of the mums ended up with planned sections, two were always planned for medical reasons and one because baby tried to come at 34 weeks so they had a planned section at 36 weeks in the end. They all said it was a really positive experience. I feel like the unplanned/emergency sections are worse which is what I’m worried about as I’ve not planned a section!I've not had a section but I've heard planned sections are very relaxed

SIX?!?!?! Christ I'm underpacking then for two babies!!!!I’ve overthought my packing way too much, I think I have way too much for baby to wear because I read somewhere to take 6 outfits for baby as well as their going home one but that’s meant I’ve got 6 short sleeve vests, 6 long sleeve vests and 6 sleepsuits because I do not know how cold it will be, as well as their going home outfit and a cosy pram suit if it’s cold because we are due next week and it is winter! And despite all this I still don’t think I’ve packed enough![]()
LOVE this idea and I have no idea why I didn't think of this. Thank you!!!Those packing for hospital, maybe have a bag of extra things that can stay in the car and a partner/birthing partner can grab if you run out of or need stuff from it?
I felt like with my first baby we took wayyyyy too much into the hospital so for second baby I narrowed things down a bit and had things left in the car. It was mainly just extras of clothes, muslins, nappies, pads, snacks, formula bottles etc. I think the odd thing that I didn’t need as well.
I’ve followed the guidance to the letter and I feel like I have so much stuff! I wanted to pack it all in one bag for me and baby but couldn’t fit it all in and now I’m thinking do I need to bring my pregnancy pillow for breastfeeding etc because it’s huge and I already have two bagsYeah it’s just so easy to overpack! At least if it’s in the car it’s there if you need it or extras.
I remember following lots of lists with my first and packing things like a towel, blankets, nipple creamand you just don’t always need everything ?
most of the time you barely get any room to put your things if you’re in a bay anyway!
