I've caught my Husband's cold. My bladder is not going to survive the coughing and sneezing. Am I allowed to do a murder?

Ohh I feel you on this one, I’ve had a cough and cold for 7 weeks now (I’m nearly 39 weeks). It’s awful! Unfortunately no, my bladder has not survived 🥴

Is anyone going to miss being pregnant?

don’t get me wrong I can’t wait to meet my baby but…I just love being pregnant now 😂 if I could skip the 1st trimester I’d do this 100 times over… I just love the feeling! People I don’t even know are offering me cups of tea, their seats, skipping the line, their table…don’t mind if I do 🤪

Yes you are but he might come in handy when the baby comes so… it’s genuinely a tough call and I wish you all the best with such a challenging decision 🤣

All joking aside I hope you feel better soon! I love hot orange barley water when I have a cold, also, this is really weird, but if you heat lemonade (the fizzy stuff) in the microwave and drink it, it is weirdly soothing. But yeah, it sounds gross, and might sound too gross to consider!

I had exactly this with my first. The first 16 weeks was tough but after that I loved it. This one - I’m 16 weeks tomorrow so hopefully I’ll start feeling more human. I’m just so tired.

I’m 16 weeks on Wed and I have started to recover from being the most tired I’ve ever been through the first trimester. That really took me by surprise!

I have had a week away and obviously I ate like an absolute piggy, so I am sure I put on weight anyway but I feel like my bump has developed a little, so a trusty pair of work trousers this morning felt a bit snug and uncomfortable. They were an excellent fit and quite flattering before I was pregnant/only a few weeks into pregnancy, I thought I’d have more time in them. I’m generally a size 18-20 anyway so I don’t have much room for just going up a standard size on the cheap. I’ve bought a few maternity bits off Vinted but mostly tops where trousers might have been more sensible 🤣 I bought maternity jeans but I can’t wear jeans to work everyday and I think they’ll currently be too big because let’s face it, I have a LONG way to go. I do like a floaty dress and I can probably get away with the ones I own for a while but I live in a windy place so it’s always a risk 🤣. I do have to turn up to places face to face sometimes and look vaguely presentable. Any tips?

I’ll bookmark this post to come back and laugh at myself when I have a REAL bump 🤣

My bump came along very quickly this time. I’m a 12-14 on top and 16 in trousers. But live in leggings because society doesn’t believe in trousers for women who have big bums and thicc thighs! My leggings quickly got to be uncomfy as the day went on. I already look 6 months pregnant so I’m a little bit worried about the later stages. With my first, I’d didn’t have a bump at all until around 5 months.
I know a lot of people avoid maternity clothes but I’m like sign me up!!! Vinted is a great place to get some bits (ive bought some dresses for summer). I struggled last time with bras. I got some cheapo ones from new look in the end last time round but the girls have given in to gravity since my last pregnancy so I’d like something a bit more supportive. With your trousers - could you get an elastic extender? They go round your button and then have a button that goes into the button hole? Just gives you some breathing space!

I don’t particularly enjoy being pregnant at all! It’s the lack of sleep for me. With first baby I slept better in the early sleep deprived days than I did in my third trimester. Now the weather is picking up I’m also reaaaaaaaly wanting a nice cold glass of wine in the garden!

Loving Vinted for maternity clothes- even got a maternity swimming costume for that wee trip to the spa (was a little big but fine, and the same costume will be great for our last hurrah holiday in a few weeks!). I could get some extenders for sure, the end of last night I was uncomfortable. There are still very few people at work who know so I’m trying to act normal and dress normal at the moment. It’s a week of more frugal and ordinary food for me this week just to try and exercise some sort of damage control over my tubby belly 🤣

I’m unable to wear cheap bras because I think I’m a 36J or JJ, I forget which. I’m just hoping they miraculously don’t grow or I may have to to deconstruct a mediaeval catapult system to use instead 🤣. Not only do they cost a bomb but the only reliable place to go is Bravissimo which is a big old expensive trip at least 90 mins away to a ‘big city’. Tsk.

My baby is almost 9 weeks and I miss being pregnant ! I want to eat all the food and not feel too guilty 🤣

I also got way more sleep while pregnant. Some say pregnancy tired/sleep is worse than newborn sleep but I say they’re all lying cause I’ve not had a good sleep in 9 weeks !!

To be fair I’m getting awful sleep at the moment, I can’t sleep longer than 2 hours, I’m constantly changing sides…my husband called me a rotisserie chicken because I keep rotating so much 😭

but I will miss being able to say “the baby wants it” at every item of food, clothing, holiday…🤪

My sleep has been buggered since my positive test. I would give anything for a good night’s sleep. Just one! But I’m assuming it’s good practice 🤷🏻‍♀️

Had a wild nausea/dry heave moment this morning, the worst ever. I’d woken up at 3am for one of my many wees and had felt a bit sick and hungry then but just wanted to sleep. I think this quite literally came back to bite me once I was properly up. And it happens the worst when I’m on the toilet and wondering what strategic decision to take about what part of me should be positioned where 🤣 cruel world 🤣

If you are struggling sleep wise I’d recommend the magnesium glycinate. I’m averaging 7-8 hours per night and I’m 21 weeks so it really does help!!

Clothing wise I’m the same, I’ve only told my HRBP and one director. I’m starting to show all of a sudden but had some sales presentations to do and needed to get the over the line which I’ve done so I will need to say soon as I can’t hide her much longer!
M&S do some great elastic waist trousers which have some stretch

Newborn sleep for me was 10000% better than pregnant sleep 😆 it’s so funny how it’s different for everyone

Same, constantly having to get up for a wee and then when I do get some sleep I'm having awful dreams! So tired and have had such bad brain fog the last couple of days! 😞

Finding sleeping really uncomfortable at the moment. I think I might be experiencing Braxton hicks in the night as I keep being woken up by my tummy going rock hard to the point it feels like it's going to explode and it keeps me awake until it goes softer again but don't have any pain. Has anyone else experienced this?

yes I had awful braxton hicks from about 28 weeks. Unfortunately the only thing which helped was giving birth 12 weeks later (sorry!!!) they do say ensuring you are hydrated and gentle exercise helps them and bouncing on my birthing ball did usually make them shorter but really I just put up with it 😩

I had my dating scan on Monday and thought I was 12 weeks and 2 days, turns out I’m only 11 weeks and 3 days. I know it’s only a 6 days difference but I’m literally counting down the days because I feel so rough.
I had terrible sickness to begin with and was put on medication by my GP that’s reduced the sickness but still leaves me with the nausea, extreme exhaustion and headaches,

I had sickness and tiredness right until the end with the my previous pregnancy and vowed I’d never do it again but niavely thought it might be different this time. To top it off I’ve already developed high blood pressure.

Sorry for this rant but I just feel so bloody dreadful and I’m not even a 3rd of the way through it :(
