Maybe there’s a compromise where the date could be brought forward a bit? Even halfway between now and the booked date? I imagine that would still feel like torture but it’s half as many days of torture at least. Your health and the baby’s health surely have equal consideration right now. If you’re in distress maybe the baby can get into distress, with no sleep and you being in so much pain it doesn’t sound like the optimum environment for those final days of baby growing, which I obviously don’t say to deliberately make you feel bad because it’s not your fault, you’re doing all you can! It’s honestly brutal. Don’t get me wrong I’m grateful I’m able to have another baby as there was a time we didn’t think it would ever happen once, let alone twice but I literally cannot do it anymore. Had a scan 2 weeks ago and I’m carrying a 96th centile baby who was over 7lb still with another 5 weeks to go. The weight at the front is just pulling on my back and I just need to lie flat and take shitloads of painkillers, neither of which I can currently do
I just don’t know what to do for the best - do I ask for early delivery which will benefit me but potentially not baby or do I just stick it out not sleeping, on crutches and crying in pain everyday to know my baby is getting everything they need until 39+3? The thought of another 17 days of this genuinely makes me want to cry (more than I have already!)![]()
I’ve really been enjoying the Artisan tonic waters as a “exciting” drink in the evening. You can get them on Amazon or Ocado - the blood orange one is great, as is the ginger and lime one. Not too sweet either!
Mid morning and I had eaten! Not drank much thoughwas it an early morning appointment and had you had much to eat before?
Yup! Pgp. My crotch feels exactly the same. It seems to have eased a bit after about 10 days.Reached the point where it feels like someone has kicked me hard in the crotch so it feels bruised. Like you know when you've been cycling and that whole region feels bruised? Is this PGP?
definitely keeping this in mind for the future!I’ve also learnt the hard way just to smile, nod and give away nothing that’s not vitally relevant/important. There’s some awful midwives and health visitors out there sadly, alongside some literal angels I’ll add
2/5ths mean that babies head is mostly engaged, they count what they can feel above the pelvis so baby is more engaged than notSat in the doctors car park after just having a stretch and sweep. 2cm dilated but my notes say only 2/5 engaged, but midwife felt babies head. Google is telling me labour is probs going to be a few days rather than the hours I was hoping. Overdue and fed up![]()
The Snuzpod’s 4 and 5 are two of the few bedside ones that can be adjusted high enough for our ridiculously high bed. I didn’t like the position of the metal bar on the Snuzpod 4 though, it would sort of be in the way of trying to get Junior out, I’d end up knocking some part of him or me against the bar scooping him out in the wee small hours! On the 5 the zip down side basically drapes over that bar which makes it seem more easily accessible. But there is some Baby Elegance electric bedside crib that looks like it might be high enough as well, so we’ll need to go check that out at some point too! What a weird new world for us!I ended up having a c section with my first and we had the Snuz pod which was great as it could do both! Also for the first 4ish weeks baby slept my husbands side of the bed anyway so he could lift baby out and pass to me if needed.
Although initially we ended up putting the Moses basket in the snuzpod anyway at night time as he slept better in the smaller space for the first few weeks!
Had this with my first pregnancy so really feel your pain! The bleeding mostly stopped for me at 20ish weeks but I had a couple of random bleeds (presumably from the ectropian) in the third trimester.Hi guys hope you don’t mind me jumping in just popping in for a rant. 41 and having the worst pregnancy known to man (or woman) . 17 weeks and have been bleeding since 12. Found out I had a haematoma at 14 weeks. That has now gone but I spent a night in hospital and my recent diagnosis is low laying placenta, cervical ectropian and thrush. Hooray for me. Baby is doing good thank god. I just feel so alarmed every time I bleed even though it’s small amounts. Sorry just coming on to rant and see if anyone has had anything similar. Thanks xx
Love the idea that the bubbas are all having a rave upI'd love a little live feed to my womb. The kid is currently doing what can only be described as a YMCA/Macarena mash up in there. I'm wondering to myself, what is it actually doing? Is it just flailing around for no reason? Does it know what it's doing?
Both at the 16 week and today’s 20 week baby have been uncooperative. They said they think they know but aren’t overly sure - I’ve been told a gender but I don’t know whether to tell partner & older sibling in case it then changes? What would you do? Also that’s an open you so anyone not specially just you!Oh god, really? At 23w mine was super sure, but I've known since before since it was ivf.
I had this the other day, midwife said just need to drink more as a bit dehydrated but nothing to worry about. This was my second urine test of the day and the first one they never mentioned itketones in urine should I be worried? Guessing it wasn’t too much as midwife didn’t seem that bothered by it but this is the first time it’s happened so confused
