What a wild ride. Didn’t expect to be here again. Been on the pill for over a year and having regular periods. Felt sick the past week so took a test a few days ago and was positive. Booked a private scan for today and they say I’m around 20 weeks. I was expecting to be like 4 weeks. What the fuck. Anyone else found out later on as a complete surprise? I have zero idea how I’m feeling right now just complete and utter shock and doesn’t feel real
Hi all, I’ve been dipping in and out of this thread throughout my second pregnancy, baby boy number 2 was born yesterday afternoon after contractions started at home Friday night. We’re home and doing well. Another epidural and all the gas and air, both were amazing

My advice for kickstarting labour…allll the sex! Tried everything else but literally did it, then an hour later my contractions begun…sorry TMI

I think I started losing my mucus plug this morning but from what I read it can grow back/isn’t particularly indicative of imminent labour so we will see. 38+1 today and would rather she cooked for at least another week!

Baby arrived 10 of Jan. Spent 8 days in hospital with an induction however labour stalled after 14 hours and we had to have an emergency c section. Even though it didn't go to plan I still found the induction process a positive experience and the midwifes I had were complete angels even though they were stretched thin. Happy to be out of that boiling hospital though now enjoying the newborn bubble and also figuring things out.

I don’t think I saw a single vegetable my whole pregnancy apart from the lettuce on a Big Mac and the sweet corn in the tuna sandwiches I started craving at 35 weeks

Spoke to my GP, was supposed to be talking to him about blood tests ahead of private fertility treatment but instead I was telling him I was pregnant! I’ve literally never met the guy, only ever had telephone appointments but he is the loveliest and he seemed so happy for me. I’ve self-referred to the midwifery team and they’ll contact me around the 8 week mark. It all feels a bit more real now.

Hey hope I can join. I am only 4 weeks pregnant.
I have had two previous miscarriages both at 8 weeks. Subsequently been diagnosed with an immune disorder which makes my blood clot meaning I miscarry.
I’m under the care of my consultant and a team who deal with high risk pregnancies.
Tomorrow I start my injections and meds
I am hoping this means my pregnancy lasts.

I am hoping this means my pregnancy lasts.I’m only 5 (and a bit) weeks but the anxiety is killing me already. I found out 2 weeks ago and it’s been the longest two weeks of my life.
I’ve had a loss, heathy baby, loss and then this pregnancy so I’m just so scared.
There’s no real point to this message other than to let my emotions out. Ahhhhhhhh!!!

I went to my 20 week scan a few days ago expecting everything to be fine but it wasn't my baby looks healthy and is growing well except one of his kidneys doesn't look normal and is full of cysts. They believe he has mcdk and should live a normal life but will only have 1 kidney. I'm devastated I know worse diagnosis but i feel like it's something I've done. I'm now waiting to be referred to fetal medicine

I don't want to jump the gun, but I'm 40 + 1 and today I finally started to feel heavy pressure and cramping. I know I could still be a long way off, but it's the first signs of potential labour I've felt and I couldn't be more relieved. I'm finding the mental side of waiting for baby to come much more difficult than I thought it would be.
I had 3 under 4 and did the majority of it solo…my best advise is - it’s ok to lower your standards for a bit!
Messy house? It’s ok! Freezer tea again? Your toddler will survive! Odd socks and a grubby jumper? No one will be calling social. It’s all ok, you’ll all survive, I promise!
This time I much a much bigger gap (4 years!) however my boyfriend will be returning to work after 3 days (self employed) or 7 if possible. My kids will probably be a bit late for school, they’ll probably have more pizza for dinner than they should and I doubt I’ll see the bottom of the washing basket for some time but it’s all a-ok

I got a next to me crib (mamas and papas lua bedside crib), it looked really handy and tbh I’ll probably not want to get out of bed
I had my 20 week scan today! All looking good, baby is measuring a bit big, I should have known because my husband has a big head 🥲 dunno how I’m gonna push his big headed baby out 🫣 also had my whooping cough in one arm and flu in the other
she also told me I have an anterior placenta which makes sense because I haven’t felt a whole lot of movement, just flutters here and there

I’m 39 plus 5 today and my waters broke last night! Got it checked at triage overnight and have been told to come home and see if I start contractions today. If not, I’ll be back in tonight for an induction! Eek! Currently having mild pains and hoping it ramps up so I don’t have to be induced.

And don't forget @Super_Berry it's not a case of some people coping better than others and you have to withstand it, it can just hurt more for some depending on position of baby, your body etc. If you need to get in and get an epidural, go for it. There are no medals for taking pain and you need your strength and mental wherewithal after too. You don't have to suffer.As soon as you can Get on the gas and air take that shit it’s like magic

It's officially my due date. Of course, there's no signs at all of any labour. I know most people don't give birth on their due date but I've felt so miserable the last few weeks, I've really been hoping i'd have felt something by now.

Currently 9+6 with my second baby (a complete surprise!) .. due date on 23rd June 25.
We had a scan at 7+4 which went well and have another booked for Friday. I’ve had an absolutely wretched cold for the past week, so much coughing and spluttering, I feel like I’ve pulled a muscle on both side of my ribs
Hopefully little bean is okay in there and riding it through.
