I've been lazy because I've been out of town and not going to my regular classes. I surely do always feel better after them because I have a desk job.

I’ve measured around a week behind this whole pregnancy and I’m now almost 27 weeks.
I know for sure when I would've ovulated but maybe baby just implanted late, I’ll never know!

Going to those first early scans were awful, even though I saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks (what I thought should be 8 weeks) the sonographer was very negative saying the sac was poorly defined and that I should remain cautious.. 2 weeks later at 9 weeks they said everything looked fine !

It’s a horrible wait til the next scan, try stay distracted if you can, hope everything goes well for you x
Thank you so much 💕 I’ll try xx

What a wild ride. Didn’t expect to be here again. Been on the pill for over a year and having regular periods. Felt sick the past week so took a test a few days ago and was positive. Booked a private scan for today and they say I’m around 20 weeks. I was expecting to be like 4 weeks. What the fuck. Anyone else found out later on as a complete surprise? I have zero idea how I’m feeling right now just complete and utter shock and doesn’t feel real
Wow! I bet that was a shock. Is it your second?

Has anyone else had like a low level uti feeling that just won’t shift?
Went to the dr yesterday for it bc it’s been going on 2/3 weeks now, not a full blown uti but it stings a bit after I wee, needing to go often but not much coming out (could just be a pregnancy thing tbf) and a painful feeling in my pelvis when I wake up or my bladders full.
She said it’s probably just pelvic pain and referred me to physio but how does that explain the rest? I asked for a urine sample to be done but she didn’t do the dip stick thing she sent it off and said it’ll be a week to get results, meanwhile I’m still suffering 😩

I'm 15w and have experienced some pain in my low back/hips while sleeping for the last week or so. I have not been exercising (usually pilates). Could just exercise help me? Has anyone go to a PT while pregnant? Is it worth it?

What should I eat before my c section? I don’t want to be bunged up but I do want to enjoy my last meal baby free 😆
I was in hospital the night before and passed on all the options and went with a jacket potato because it seemed the safest option of all they gave me 😅

They might give you senakot a couple of times after your section.. so you might not need to worry much 😂

I had no idea about this. I raised it with my.midwive who told me to ice my hands and elevate them at night and that was it. I ended up buying wrist supports myself, but I've found the cold weather recently has made them a lot worse. I raised it again at my 39 week appointment this week and she basically just said there was nothing to do and it'll go when the baby is born. So helpful 🙄
I wasn’t told in my first pregnancy. My midwife this time round has been fantastic and I’ve seen the same one each time (first pregnancy it was someone different on each occasion). I think given where you are she’s probably right, and it’s extremely likely to disappear overnight. Just annoying you weren’t signposted before.

Baby sushi arrived tonight 🥺 I can’t believe I’m saying this but I had almost perfect delivery especially for a first birth. It took only 6 hours from the first contraction till baby was in my hands and I’m so proud how well I handled it because I’ve been treated for tokophobia and wanted an elective section but they are not possible in my country so I prepared like crazy and I think it all worked! I was constantly telling them to up my pain medicine, had epidural and gas but it helped a lot. Honestly I’m just so proud of myself and my little baby girl. 🥹
Amazing news, congrats 💞💞

Have they not scanned you yet? I had this (although a little later) and was never examined, only ever scanned. it was a subcronic hematoma. I bled on and off until 13 weeks.
they can only diagnose loss and things like hematomas etc through a scan though.
are you able to go private for some answers/hopefully peace of mind.
My epu scanned me every time I bled even after knowing the cause x
no they won't scan me because I'm so early and they don't want to add more worry for me if they don't see anything. I'm hoping it's something like a hematoma but there's so much blood that I'm not feeling hopeful x

I don’t think it is a no no unlike vitamin a. It’s just brands being overly cautious!
Oh interesting! Yeah, I stopped tret months ago because I knew vitamin A was bad, but I really like the results so I had to get out of the habit so I didn’t cry at how awful my face looked if I had to stop in a hurry!

Ok can someone tell me if they’ve had the same thing happen to them.
I’m 9 weeks and yesterday I had what felt a bit like period pains in my lower uterus mainly on my right hand side. Kinda achy but also shooting pains.
It’s now eased but was quite prevalent yesterday. It was just once in a while.

Ive googled it which is always a mistake but I did read it could be the uterus expanding or/and ligaments stretching. But normally this happens in the 2nd trimester.

no other nefarious signs.
Anyone else experienced this? Thanks x

RE: Isofix

Does everybody buy these? Or are you just strapping the car seat in?
Isofix is easier to install properly and move.
If you happen to have a car without isofix the strapping works but it must be done properly, and it's just better if you leave the seat on the car always . Only me and my partner knew how to do it properly and found the seat poorly installed by other family member several times.

Yeah I think they prefer if you are to do anything then to vape. My midwife mentioned this at my booking appointment as well!

So this happened to my friend and although it’s labelled an ‘emergency’, the actual process is still much more like an elective than a true emergency if that makes sense. The sooner you get to hospital with signs of labour and say you’ve got an elective section booked and why, they’ll get to straight through. There’s obviously still some degree of rush, but much less so than if you’d been in labour hours and baby was distressed, for example.
I thought this but I guess I’m worried about it being second baby and things happening to quickly 🫠😭

I was told at my early viability scan and my 12 week scan that i ovulated from my right ovary which blew my mind that they could tell me this info tbh. I was rapidly googling if that determined what gender my baby would be and all things were saying i was having a boy so i was 100% convinced i was having a boy because of this but nope im having a girl. I was very impatient wanting to know constantly before i had my private gender scan and was so shocked to find out its a girl

Ahhh I thought we’d finally had our little boys name (feel like it took a while) but OH has said he’d noticed someone he went to school with on FB used it for their little boy - who is now 6months - and he’s now seeing the name used everywhere else and not sure how much he likes it now 😂 it’s not even that common of a name I don’t think !!

but think it’s back to going through 100s of names to find one we both like again 🫠

He said we could still use it but I know if it were me it would bother me forever if I wasn’t sure about the name anymore. I’d rather we both like it and be happy than one of us just settling to keep the other happy !

are names really this big of a deal 😂🤣

Hello everyone, I had Botox done a few days ago and just found out I’m 6 weeks pregnant. Has anyone else had Botox in early pregnancy. Obviously there’s nothing I can do now. There isn’t much info on it, just that it isn’t advised because there haven’t been studies done on pregnant women, but also a lot of people say because it’s localised it’s fine.

Looking for personal experiences. Thank you xxx

Anyone else use Ancient & Brave collagen powder? It says on their website that it’s theoretically safe to use during pregnancy but also says to speak to your dr/midwife. I’ve been taking it for 4 months or so prepregnancy so it’s not “new” to my body.
