Baby Girl 3 is here!

She arrived on Monday, followed the trend of her sisters and being born at 36 week (and 1 day), weighing 5lbs. She was born at home, delivered by daddy and we are all absolutely obsessed with her.

I've been told I will have consultant led care for my current pregnancy due to my previous gestational hypertension induction. Can anyone advise me on what this means/entails? Had my booking appointment tonight and I've struggled to retain what the midwife said 🙃 thank you in advance x

I have a consultant and honestly I don’t feel like it means a lot of difference 😂 I still see the midwives but I have extra appointments and extra monitoring (no extra scans yet) at our local hospital and they have me in around the same time I’m due at the midwives to basically do all the same tests and ask the same questions. It’s the basic tests each time and they ask how you’re doing and would maybe send you to triage if anything was off. The only thing they really do is chase up my other consultants for advice and I’ve had appointments with other specialities much faster. I’ve like 8-9 weeks left so I’m not sure if anything else would change, it probably would if they weren’t happy with any of my test results

Had my 3d/4d scan today and baby girl did not want to cooperate. :( She’s positioned head down and was facing my spine so we couldn’t see her face at all, she only pouted at us a little. 😂

Did they offer a rescan at all?
Cute little nose and that pout !!

They’re so expensive! I want one with this baby as we had one with our first but hubby doesn’t really want to 🥲

Does anyone else have sore feet? I'm okay first thing but the minute I'm on my feet for any length of time and they're really sore. It doesn't matter if I then lie down, they are still throbbing.

It was perfect - our second was born at home and delivered by by husband too, although that time it was comple unplanned! It was definitely a much calmer affair when we were expecting it to happen!

I was meant to be consultant lead due to history of depression, had one phone call at about 18 weeks and that's been it 🙃 I have had weekly growth scans from 28 weeks but that was due to being a smoker so I think it really varies from trust to trust!

Due date is this week coming, one failed sweep and I am not feeling it anymore. 🤣 I need this baby here now!

Unfortunately not, I don’t think rescans are a thing where I am 🙁 Yeah I’m not sure if this was really worth 100€ tbh but I’ve mostly seen such great photos and I went with my mum and MIL and it was still such a cute bonding experience, just shame about her position. It is great for the birth tho but even the doctor said that there’s no reason for her to be doing all that so early! 😂

Compression socks, lots of water and get up and move around as much as you can. I have been running so hot during pregnancy so I’ve taken a handheld fan on the flights I’ve been on which has been a lifesaver! Oh and sit on an aisle seat so you can get up and go to the loo easily.

I had to go for a growth scan as my bump was measuring >97th centile. Was absolutely DYING at the thought of being diagnosed with gestational diabetes right before Christmas 😂😂😂😂 baby is measuring fine though weight on the 49th centile and is just a bit tall - and I’m really short so she has nowhere to grow but out 😂
I also have been suffering with bloating and constipation so I personally feel my stomach was just large because of that 😩
So lovely to see her though and the sonagrspher even made sure to get some good pics of her face which we weren’t expecting 🩷🩷

So exciting! I always thought this too, some days I was soo constipated and it defo made a big difference to how big I was and how much I could feel her, but my midwife was like “no.. that’s not a thing” 😂

I'm getting fed up of having no desire to eat, cook or have any ability to decide what to eat for dinners. Take aways are £40+ each time so I really need to try and stop relying on them. I made a chicken and sweetcorn soup yesterday and half way through the chicken was making me gag. Everything OH suggests to cook is putting me off too. I've been to Tesco this morning to just get a complete selection of snacks (salt and vinegar twirls are my bestie rn). I'm hoping 2nd trimester I'll pick back up and can get back to normal 🤣

Looking for some reassurance from those who have had more than one pregnancy! I’m 7 weeks along with baby 2. First pregnancy was a relative breeze. I do remember some fatigue in my first trimester but no sickness whatsoever. This time I’m absolutely exhausted (I do have a 2 year old so I know it makes sense to be more tired) and I’m feeling sick all day long. Not actually vomiting- it’s not that bad. More like bad hangover all day.

Is it normal for 2 pregnancies to be so different? I’m spiralling thinking it means there’s more than one in there. I could cry even thinking about that possibility. Booked an early scan this Friday to try and ease my mind
