This is a very strange one but I am currently 16+5 and I have a niggly pain in my left hip like a trapped nerve. Probably jot even pregnancy related but the pain is going down my leg a little and the left side of my tina / groin 🤣🤦 when I say pain, it's more of an ache. I'm not worried I'm just curious if anybody has ever experienced this or if I am just being absolutely mental 🤣🤣
I’m 16+6 and getting this as well! Just wait for the lightning crotch aka fan daggers 💀

Just wondered if this is something to be concerned about. I'm 9.5 weeks and just don't feel pregnant anymore. Practically all my symptoms have gone apart from maybe getting out of breath still. Is this normal?

That’s pretty normal !

I think many of us have symptoms dry up around that time, I think it’s meant to be because the placenta starts to take over around 8-10 weeks

I’m 11+4 and have had the same thing on and off. It’s convinced me there is something wrong and the baby isn’t growing. Between worrying about that and the pregnancy insomnia I’m barely sleeping :-(

Have my scan next Tuesday and can’t wait.

Oh god, yes the insomnia. Was a great sleeper before. I fall asleep OK but am wide awake and wired from about 4am. Let us know how you get on!

I can’t believe I’m 36 weeks tomorrow 😭😭 time seems to have gone so fast but so slow! Hospital bag is 90% packed, nursery is done and it’s just last little bits to sort out now. Can’t believe it’s nearly time 😭😭

I'm 36 weeks too! On my to-do list for this week is to pack hospital bag, sort baby's drawers, and finish making some.meals to freeze. I keep going between excited, doesn't feel real, to absolutely terrified haha

Has anyone else had their screening results uploaded to badger? I got the screening at my 12 week scan and am almost 16 weeks and still have no news on the results! Assuming that’s a good thing but when I asked the question through badger I was told that it’s the antenatal midwife’s job and they will probably upload them… no letter either! So frustrating

Mine did appear but I found Badger very unpredictable and unreliable.. when’s your next midwife appt? You could call them and see if you can find out over the phone as they should have the info

I'm finally joining this thread properly :) 8 weeks with my IVF miracle and I saw my little bean today. I have a teenager from when I was 16 so this all feels brand new to me again!

I am finding it really unreliable too! It’s next Wednesday, which isn’t too long to wait I suppose

I’d defo assume “no news is good news” as I do remember others on this thread saying they got a phone call 1/2 days after their screening if there was anything to worry about. My results hardly ever appeared - I only found out I passed the glucose test because at my appointment a week afterwards the midwife said, “so, great that you passed the GTT isn’t it” 😂

I hate the app. Most of the time it's just slow or I can't find where the info is or my appointments aren't even uploaded.

Stuff only shows on badger if whoever is uploading it clicks make public / publish. Which is hit and miss in my trust! Apparently it takes more time! None of my bloods have ever shown on there! It is rubbish.

Think I've just experienced medical gaslighting. I've been getting about 4 hours a night sleep. No trouble falling asleep but I can't stay asleep. Midwife said it's totally normal but from what I was describing it sounds like I need to reset my sleep cycle and to speak to the GP (who was a locum and not my regular GP) about possibly getting some medication for a couple of nights to reset it.

Conversation goes like this:

Me: explain the issue
GP: it's because you're very stressed and anxious
Me: I don't think so. I don't feel that way at all and it's only been since I've been pregnant so I think it's something biological.
GP: you sound very anxious to me.
Me: I'm not. I'd quite happily say if I was.
GP: you really need to accept that you're anxious.

It goes in like this for a bit with me explaining myself over and over.

Me: explain what the midwife said again
GP: midwife doesn't know what she's talking about, women don't struggle with sleeping in their first trimester unless they are anxious
Me:...
GP: so you want me to sign you off work, is that it?
Me: No, I don't think that's necessary at all.
GP: look, I'll give you some Phernagan but you have to accept a sleeping pill isn't going to fix your problem, you probably need antidepressants.

Speechless.

That’s awful!! I would put in a complaint :(

I think unfortunately a lot struggle with wakeups and staying asleep in the first trimester, I know mine got better in the second. I’m not actually sure what can be done about it though :(

I know it's par for the course but figured if the midwife was suggesting it might be worth sampling some sleep meds I thought it was worth a try. But now she was so horrible I almost don't want to try it now 🤣

There’s a new baby and a toddler thread.

My youngest is almost 4 and I feel like she wasn’t born long ago. It’s gone so fast.
