Why is food so unsatisfying and disappointing? I feel like I really fancy something but as soon as I start eating it I don't want it anymore and everything tastes like disappointment.

I had quite bad nausea with my first and this morning (I’m 5+3) I had an episode where I felt like I was going to faint and extreme nausea. I’ve had twinges since I found out.
I had terrible nausea but ever remember feeling faint with my first….should I be worried?

delete this now 🤣 don’t need that type of negativity hahahahaha
Mine started to go on Friday, stopped on Saturday, then lost it again on Sunday and my waters broke the Monday morning. When I googled it said it could be up to two weeks, fingers crossed things progress for you!

I wouldn’t be worried! If you are, speak to your GP. I felt absolutely terrible the first 10ish weeks x

Slight trigger warning of infection and loss ahead!

Not sure what to do.. I’m sure I’m only panicking as I’m pregnant after a couple of losses/ scares but I’m 30 weeks and I’ve raging sinusitis and a temperature too. The baby feels like she’s moved less today but then I wouldn’t know as I’ve spent loads of it asleep and couldn’t manage any food, just water. I’m trying to work out if she’s following her normal pattern now I’m up but so far she’s moved a little but pretty quiet.. but is it just because I have been?! Google says I only have to worry about temperature in the first trimester but I’m scarred by some of the loss groups I attended where some of the poor women sadly lost their babies to infection at all stages.

Would you ring triage? Would you take anything for this? Is sinusitis at 30+ weeks a worry? 😭

I’d definitely ring triage if you’re concerned - I’m sure it’s nothing but it will put your mind at rest hope you feel better soon!

I’d probably call, from a fellow serious worrier. No harm in going in and it turn out to be nothing x

@User767676 @hazmaz thank you both! I had a sneezing fit and woke the poor girl up and she’s moving just fine now 😅

I might ring for medical advice anyway but feel guilty about going in as I don’t want to make any other mums ill

I could have wrote this myself. Or I really want to eat something, then I make it and I no longer want it. I had the craziest craving for dominos cookies the other day, made my husband go out and get them, and when he bought them back I didn’t want them anymore 🥲

First of all if you are worried at all then call triage for advice and reassurance 🥰

I just wanted to share though that I’ve had food poisoning (twice!!!!!) and a breast abscess that the doctors cannot get under control (I’ve been on antibiotics for four weeks and had it drained at this point) I also had the same worries but baby is absolutely fine and no doctors have had any concern that she would come to any harm, sometimes it can be easy to focus on the stories about worst case scenarios 🩷🩷

hope you feel better soon!!!

That makes me feel so much better thank you!! I’ve been so careful all year but been to hospital a couple of times recently and women brought their disgusting partners that coughed everywhere, wandered into our cubicle coughing, and used the patient only toilet etc so I’m assuming I picked up their illness from that 🙃👍🏻 I think it triggered me a bit as I was really poorly with sinusitis when I had a loss before even though I know and have been told it wasn’t connected 😭 I feel like death warmed up but I feel better that the baby is up and moving now, she’s probably just had a lazy day

Honestly it's so frustrating. I just want to enjoy food again.

@Elisha97 Keera’s post reminded me I had a horrendous chest and ear infection in my 3rd trimester, that went on for weeks to right before the end, I was in a&e twice with it. They tested and it was viral and said it was very unlikely to affect the baby.
I don’t know if it was bacterial it would have been different but you could ask the question as they can test bloods and give antibiotics if it is and give you piece of mind if it’s not perhaps.

Hey hope everyone is doing okay! I was wondering if any of you had any tips for showering without getting a pico wet? Or just how to shower in general at this point 😂

If you’re worried deffo ring- but also (and appreciate you may not feel like this with a chest infection!) does anything like a fizzy drink or hot drink wake baby up? My daughter would go crazy after a 7up lol. Hope you feel better soon!

I had Covid a few weeks ago and it felt like baby was moving less. Was worried all my coughing was hurting the baby 😅 I phoned triage just cause the more I thought about it the more I worried they were happy to out my mind at ease and as soon as they placed the copper on we could hear his heartbeat going strong. They said that because I had changed my routine, staying in bed all day that the baby could have changed his.
But deffo get it checked if worried. It put my mind at ease
