5 weeks pregnant and already feeling that this time round is going to be a whole different ball game having a toddler too! I’m so tired already. And I work full time. 😭
I totally get the tiredness thing - I’m just short of five weeks but I’ve been having to take naps on the daily

Any tips for colostrum harvesting and how to use it? Managed to do 2.5mil tonight for the first time so dated and chucked in the freezer. Feel so proud!!!

Well done! I never managed. I’m still in hospital (all ok but being observed) and baby is two days old, colostrum would have been handy as ive not been able to express more than 0.1ml and milk hasn’t come in yet. Baby has had to have formula which is fine but wasn’t the plan! Just bring it with you to hospital 👍🏼

I could actually cry with the pain I’ve got from this carpal tunnel 😭😭😭😭 I feel like chopping my own arm off
I'm sorry - I've been suffering too. I had a week of waking up constantly with hands that had pins and needles so I got wrist supports. I thought that was bad. But now it's just pain in my thumbs and middle fingers, not got full grip, and it takes me hands a while each morning to not be stiff and sore.

I thought my constant sickness was bad but this has actually been worse.

I can’t wait for these last 5/6 weeks to be up and I can finally meet baby. The anxiety of what you can and can’t do is killing me and I can’t wait to go a day without worrying whether or not me eating a twix is going to result in serious problems 😂

come into triage for reduced movements…but also come into triage for increased movements…but also don’t come in unless you’re bleeding because it’s probably nothing…but don’t ignore it!

don’t eat this…but you can eat this if you cook it over a flame on the night of the blue moon using the blood of six virgins to light the fire

don’t forget to exercise…but also don’t put your arms above your head too long because your umbilical cord will end up like a noose

don’t have a bath too hot…but you can have a bath if it’s 36.38947 degrees anything over that and you’ve gone too far

Seeing so many reels recently of 'what I eat in a day pregnant'. Starts the day with a lemon in hot water and piece of fruit for breakfast, snacks on carrot sticks until lunch when they have a green salad with a morsel of chicken. Snacks on nuts until dinner of a flimsy piece of fish with a single chip and a sad looking piece of lettuce. No mention of eating like this due to nausea etc

duck oooooffffffff. That isn't enough to sustain a child, let alone a pregnant woman. Just admit you've wolfed down a family sized pack of chicken tenders smothered in mayo and cheese because it's your latest craving like the rest of us and have a day off.

Saw my mum yesterday and we were talking about who I wanted around when I give birth. I told her I was happy for visitors but no kissing baby and she looked stunned and then in a really moody voice said she'll maybe just on the top of the head and when I said no she said well you'll have to remind me or the emotions will just take over and I won't help myself. Had a feeling she would be like this. MIL was instantly like whatever makes you guys comfortable

I think it could be okay?

I wouldn’t let my partner go away that late personally but we also have a toddler already so for me it mostly just sounds tiring parenting alone 😂
I'm a bit more of silent follower on here but have been thinking about you. Glad to here your home.

Ive seen these too. Such nonsense. I had plain toast for breakfast because I still feel nauseous despite my anti sickness tablets.

Side note: does water make anyone else feel sick? I'm trying to drink enough but it makes me feel nauseous.

Anyway back to those videos. I just don't believe them. I'm 35 weeks now and so little food would not sustain me for any length of time and I'm vegan so tend to eat a lot of fruit and veg. But it's about surviving the last few weeks now and I need more food than that.

we have told everyone not to kiss the baby (my in laws will just do what they like) and I’ve already decided if anyone kisses the baby they just won’t get to hold her again.

I’m so super paranoid about RSV, flu etc especially with mine being due in January 😩

I'm not a snacker usually but I've had to have a little something every couple of hours otherwise I feel like I'm going to faint. I try to snack on fruit, veggies etc but come dinnertime I'm feeling sick from hunger. Hunger for me is painful. It's not the usual hunger pre-pregnancy, I'm painfully hungry. I'm getting hangry and I've never had that before!

Def good to make those boundaries as clear as possible now.
my MIL can be very sensitive so I didn’t want to tell them what to do but subsequently nearly burst into tears when she kissed his face 😭 I then had severe anxiety he was going to get seriously unwell. Didn’t help that my FIL coughed over him too like wtf what is wrong with people??
I know they were just excited to meet him but the way I felt with it all it’s definitely worth “upsetting” people first by setting boundaries than it is you getting upset when they do something you don’t like!

Hello ladies. Does anyone know what prams/travel systems they are going for yet?

We went to the baby show this weekend and despite our efforts not to, we have fallen completely in love with the Bugaboo Fox 5. I found it looked the nicest but it was also the easiest to put up and down.

We are planning on travelling to NYC when baby is 4 months old (crazy I know!) and have been advised by multiple couples we know that the YoYo would be best for this.

My question is- do any of these ever go on Black Friday sales? And are there any other prams we should be considering.

We have the Bugaboo Donkey Duo - it has done our first 2 girls a treat and as we have such small gaps between ours we are sticking with the same and we've just ordered the comfort wheeled board as we'll have under 3. That being said, we've never travelled with it. We have a Cybex Coya and we will use that when we are flying anywhere as you can also attach the car seat.

Yes to black friday sales.
If money is no object the yoyo is the OG but don’t go broke for it, there are plenty of more affordable options. Good 2nd hand market too. A simple umbrella fold would do the job. You’ll pay more for things like weight, manoeuvrability, storage, higher weight limit, rubber/hard vs pneumatic wheels, the ability to fit in an overhead locker in a plane - but you usually get to take it to the plane and get it back at luggage reclaim if not which isn’t that bad. If you rarely travel/storage is an issue you can also hire them.

I had Belle&co from Sainsbury’s - it’s a fizzy rose type 0.0% about £3.50 a bottle and fully chilled is pretty nice 😊
