We took our older girls to the pumpkin patch today. Thought I'd sleep well after running around after them all day but nope, 1am and I'm still awake!

And if anyone is wondering, don't take 2 toddlers to a pumpkin patch when you're 35 weeks pregnant :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I’m nearly 35 weeks and still haven’t been told anything about the hospital or anything about my birth plan. My next midwife appointment is Tuesday so hopeful they’ll go over something then but it’s such a big unknown im slightly worried hha

Can I ask - how did you decide you wanted to find out the sex? I feel like I do as I’m a planner / more logical (eg only have to think of one set of names) but my boyfriend wants to wait. Others have also said they wanted to wait until birth.

I’m still very early days 5w2d - but I’m noticing I seem to get super nauseous in the evenings? So far I feel normal in the morning, it’s just the evenings it really seems to hit me.

Also my nipples have been fully hard for the last 2 weeks and the thought of my husband being anywhere near them makes me wince 😫. Even a cuddle hurts! :ROFLMAO:

I’m sorry to read this. Is it the Fragmin injection? If so they’re the ones you’re given after a c-section. Is it the just mental side or are you also struggling with the injection itself?
Yeah they are. Starting to get used it to it still makes me emotional after though. It's the injection though I am trying to stay aware of the mental side of things as I've always suffered with anxiety.

Does anyone else’s baby have quiet days? She is still moving about, but she definitely goes through certain days where her movements aren’t as ‘forceful’ as others
Mine does this every week. He'll be crazy with the kicking for days and then have a day where he stops or it's so light. After a few times of getting it checked out I'm just starting to think of it as a pattern

Looking for some advice!
Second pregnancy. Positive tests 28 and 29 of October. 100% had period first week of September. Cannot for the life of me remember if I had a period end of Sept/beginning Oct.
Midwife booking appointment next week.
How will she figure out my EDD considering I don't know the first day of my LMP. Can I request an early scan?? then have the 12 week 20 week scan as normal? Stressed!
You got your booking appointment super quick! I wouldn’t worry too much, they can figure it out and will base it on what detail you can remember. In my trust you wouldn’t get an early scan unless you have any other additional risk factors. You could always book a private scan in a few weeks to give yourself some reassurance?

Got hit by another car while driving home tonight and my anxiety is through the roof. Phoned triage and they were like ‘well unless you’re bleeding or in pain we say don’t bother coming in. Do you want to tho?’

like yes absolutely I would like to come in for reassurance 😂 heard babies heartbeat and was monitored but I’m still so worried something could happen in these next few days
What? Another car?! Hope you are okay!! 💕

Girls if you’ve got back ache in the third trimester go to a pregnancy massage my word that woman healed me 😂 midwives and doctors wouldn’t do anything bc and just recommended paracetamol but that woman had the hands of god and I can walk again 🙈
All I've asked for for my birthday this year is a pregnancy massage and I'm so excited for it! I'm so happy for you.

I'm the same with insomnia. I've had it for weeks and can only sleep a few hours a night even if I'm shattered. I'm 34 weeks now and really don't know how I'm going to survive, along with all the other late pregnancy symptoms, until the baby comes.

Things I think help a little are:

Sleeping in another bed as then I can toss and turn without worrying if I'm annoying my husband.
Putting something on my iPad and dozing off to that.
Having a snack - I find I get sleepy after I eat in the middle of the night.
Same - I’ve moved to the spare room so when I wake up I’m not lying there trying to be silent which makes it worse. Podcast/book helps and love the idea of a snack, I’m also waking up ravenous so having breakfast around 6am. It’s hard but I’m on Mat leave now so can’t complain too much. Sending you guys love and strength! 💕

They’re keeping me in overnight unfortunately :/

Didn’t bring anything with me as thought it would be a quick check, but they’re concerned as there’s still bright red blood and I have a low placenta.
how far are you? sending lots of love, at least they are keeping an eye on you x

mine was for static growth and they told me it had to be done within 72 hours!Do you have yours regularly?
I’ve never had one! I’m 32 weeks but they won’t see me until 36 weeks. I was already booked for a private 4D and she did my measurements there which was all okay so reassuring but wish they would’ve seen me before at hospital

After a bit of advice.

I'm about 5 - 6 weeks along. Woke up yesterday and had some very light brown spotting. Not worried as I know that's fairly normal. It was gone after a few hours. Woke up with the same this morning but now this afternoon it is now tinged with dark red blood and is heavier but not period heavy. I have no pain. I was going to call the community midwives just to see what I should do but they have closed for the day. No one tells you what's normal or what to expect so I've got no clue. Again I know bleeding can be perfectly normal. I feel like I'm being dramatic if I call the OOH midwife. I suppose there's not much they can do anyway. Do I just call them tomorrow, leave it? I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️
From my experience the times I’ve bled at the start of a pregnancy no one seemed overly fussed as it’s just one of those things that can be normal or there’s nothing they can do if it’s not. I don’t think it would hurt to call tomorrow if you’re worried, they may refer you to an early pregnancy unit but they might not. Feel like the care varies each area unfortunately. Hopefully everything is okay x

I was! That was when I was pregnant with Elanna.

I would have been fuming if that was me. I don’t understand how she thought she had the right to do that - especially in the US where they sue for everything! I do think trying to push your body into labour if it’s not ready (and there’s no medical reason) can throw off your labour so it could be the cause for you.

The hospitals are amazing, you’re right about that. I’m not 100% sold on using them yet though. We had a spontaneous home birth with number 2 so I think we’ll go for the same again.
Wow congrats on being on number 3 I’m only just ready for 2!😂 shouldve sued her I’d be rich now 😜. Yes good idea it’s just so weird there and not like here how you can go to the midwife unit the majority of the time but you would actually need to go out of your way to find your own midwife / birthing unit and I don’t even know how that would’ve worked with insurance. I definitely didn’t know anyone who did it. All straight to the hospital epiduraled up ASAP!🙈 sooo medical over there nothing left naturally. Hoping for a different experience this time just scared of the ancient hospital and shared wards🙈🙈

No recommendations but would just say be careful with what one you choose. Some alcohol free drinks do contain alcohol.
Yes, I nearly accidentally bought one! Looked to be zero alcohol and then in the back in small writing 'less than 0.5%'. From googling it seems the only decent ones are sparkling and very expensive so will just have to suck it up I guess and have a whiff of other people's.

Almost 21 weeks :(
They’ve checked baby’s heart rate a few times since being here and it’s all sounded good.

They think the bleeding is likely cause of where my placenta is but it feels a bit shit just being dumped in a bay and left to try sleep (managed maybe only 2-3 hours 😭) until a dr can come by and give more of a plan in the morning. Though it sounds likely they might want to keep me until I have 24 hours without any bleeding.
Sorry to hear all of this. Have you seen the doctor yet? Hopefully you get given a clear plan.

Hi! Had HG with my first and spent the first week or so of my second feeling super cocky that I thought I’d escaped it this time. Week 6 hit and I feel dreadful. Still hoping it’s ‘normal’ morning sickness but I’m starting to lean more towards HG with how I’ve been today.
Strangely enough I did the same. Got to week 6 with no sign of sickness (started way earlier first time round) then woke up one morning, threw up and havnt stopped since!!

This is a very strange one but I am currently 16+5 and I have a niggly pain in my left hip like a trapped nerve. Probably jot even pregnancy related but the pain is going down my leg a little and the left side of my vagina / groin 🤣🤦 when I say pain, it's more of an ache. I'm not worried I'm just curious if anybody has ever experienced this or if I am just being absolutely mental 🤣🤣

My trust don't have any electronic notes or an app - everything is paper in the mama academy A5 folder I got given at my booking appointment.

All the reports I've had after scans are printed and given to me and it just lives in my handbag.

However my midwife is utterly useless so it wouldn't surprise me if after my next appointment (which is with a different midwife) that I get told there is an app or something else I should be using 🙃
My midwife is useless too. I haven't seen her yet cause she's been on holiday and then had to move an appointment. I'll see her for the first time at 32 weeks.

At my 28 week appointment, I wasn't even asked how I was really doing or how my mental health was. It was a quick weight, BP, and blood and that was it.
