I’m nearly 24 weeks and I cannot even begin to explain the pain in my nipples 🤣 they’re constantly hard and have tripled in size. Anyway I can relieve the pain a bit before it gets colder and I consider chopping them off. This is my third and I don’t remember ever having sore boobs for the entirety!

I’m still very early days 5w2d - but I’m noticing I seem to get super nauseous in the evenings? So far I feel normal in the morning, it’s just the evenings it really seems to hit me.

Also my nipples have been fully hard for the last 2 weeks and the thought of my husband being anywhere near them makes me wince 😫. Even a cuddle hurts! :ROFLMAO:
My nausea also comes in the evening. I've found yoghurt helps settle my stomach a bit. I've had sore boobs from day 1.

Interesting… I’ve also been told I won’t be induced til 41 weeks but also struggling a lot with pelvic and back pain so who knows if they’ll recommend something else at 37 weeks onwards..
If you have any appointments coming up with a consultant it’s definitely worth the ask! I was happy when it was offered and now the day has came around I’m terrified😂

We had a 4d scan this week & I was told baby is estimated to be 3lb at 28 weeks. Their belly is measuring 80 something percentile but overall she was 58 percentile. Just worried this is big!
I have a GD test in a few weeks & supposed to be having growth scans from 30 weeks but none planned at the min
I wouldn’t worry about the measurements too much. I had GD and sometimes baby measured 70% and others 40%. I think baby came out around 30% so I think people can measure differently

Graco turn2me car seat (cheaper version of the Joie 360 but same company) looks a great deal on Amazon big deals day.
There seem to be some good, genuine offers. Way better than the last prime day.

Hi all. 23 weeks today and off to my first pregnancy yoga in an hour. Want to hold off my sciatic pain I get because of my piroformis muscle. Hope it’s good.

My midwife is useless too. I haven't seen her yet cause she's been on holiday and then had to move an appointment. I'll see her for the first time at 32 weeks.

At my 28 week appointment, I wasn't even asked how I was really doing or how my mental health was. It was a quick weight, BP, and blood and that was it.
I wonder if we have the same Midwife as mine is on holiday and moved mine too!

Are you in the midlands? 🤔

I'm signed up to a pregnancy portal with my midwives that sends week by week info. From this week (6) I can donate my wee to make fertility drugs for other women. Has anyone done this? As it takes an average of 5 years to get pregnant, I'm no stranger to infertility, (though I've had no actual treatment myself) I think I'd like to be able to help someone with that kind of pain. Is it a bit weird???? I think you store it in bottles which I assume are picked up each week. We only have a small bathroom with no storage, so I don't want to freak out my son. I don't know what to do!

I'd ask to get your iron levels checked as that can have an effect on tiredness. I was similar and have been shattered on and off all the way through (sorry to be the bearer of bad news!). My iron levels have been fine and I was told it's just one of those pregnancy things for me. As a positive, there have been periods where I have been much more energetic. Annoyingly I don't think there is much you can do except rest when you can and embrace the days when you have a little more energy.
Thank you, yeah I will ask for my iron levels to be checked just to rule it out. It's absolutely exhausting isn't it 🤦 I mean I don't mind just relaxing and napping but when you work full time it's difficult 🤣

I had a gender scan at 16 weeks and the sonographer said he was 100% sure, but I’m not convinced as the nub theory from my 12 week scan said the opposite. I have my 20 week scan next week which will hopefully give me some sort of certainty

Does anyone know if I can refuse consultant led care? I've had 3 pregnancies under consultant led due to health issues. But I've just had negative experiences each time. I just find it very stressful going up the hospital every week and sitting for 5+ hours to have tests, scans and waiting around to see consultants. My 2nd pregnancy I was bullied by 6 professionals in a tiny room who told me I was having a c section and booked me in . I actually went into spontaneous labour and gave birth naturally with no complications. My second pregnancy my daughter had a rare syndrome that I also have, and they suggested I abort the baby. During labour my fluid input and output were recorded, and because I had forgotten to record an output and call the nurse I was denied fluids during a 12 hour labour. I wasn't allowed to get up and move around and had to stay put in bed. I have ptsd from previous surgeries and professionals not listening to me and added complications. Obviously if there were issues with the baby I would be more than happy to go under fetal medicine and have them look after me
Sorry you have had such an awful time with this so far! You can definitely ask. I'm not an expert but you can refuse anything in theory, it may be that you need to sign that you're happy birthing outside guidelines or something.

Congratulations!

Can I just go ahead and talk about how great potatoes are right now? I can't get enough. Also ham sandwiches with mayo. And cabbage. I think the embryo is Irish. All I've been able to think about all day at work is my ham sandwich for lunch and my jacket potato for dinner.
Omg same. Sandwiches and potatoes. I’m 29 weeks and if it’s between bread the baby goes nuts ❤

I have been surprised at how many people I know have been encouraged to induced at the slightest thing. It seems so many people who get induced have a harder time than going in to labour naturally. Part of me wonders if induction is better for the hospital as they can almost plan their admissions more easily.
As someone who has worked in hospitals for many years, albeit not L&D, as horrible as it sounds it is easier. If you know what/who is coming in you can plan staff, rota, lunch, breaks etc and its a lot easier to deal with anything that crops up.

I’d give them a call for reassurance! It’s crazy isn’t it? I had a horrendous bleed at 9 weeks with baby Skates - heavier than day 1 of a heavy period, and he was absolutely fine. They weren’t in a rush to see me though.

I’m so, so fed up of being and feeling sick. I don’t know why I expected anything different after one HG pregnancy but it’s fucking miserable.
You need to Google PUQE score and go and get some drugs. They're safe and effective, it's not the frigging dark ages. Get some help and function properly

I had to go on induction drip with my first after my waters broke at 36+5, and ended up having an epidural so did end up in an hospital gown to give birth in, before the epidural I was wearing a light oversized tshirt, I honestly don’t even remember how or why or even getting changed into the gown tbh 😂
