Latest new pregnancy symptom - my belly has started to click! Sometimes when she moves around there’s a snapping/clicking noise. Apparently it’s due to lack of space and air bubbles popping. So interesting 😍

I'm really worried about the pp hormones. I've had some days so far where I've been really down and cried almost all day. I'm feeling really anxious about how ill feel pp. I'm also still heavily grieving for my sister who died last year, and knowing she won't ever meet out baby has been extremely difficult to deal with throughout pregnancy so far.
Sending you love 🩷 that is such a hard thing to deal with. Give yourself time and don’t beat yourself up if you have a hard day. I know others have recommended speaking to midwives/health visitors as they can give extra support, could be good to get ahead of the post partum phase xx

I know people have asked in the past month or two about the RSV vaccine but I've not seen anyone whose actually had it yet. My midwife told me today that there's a drop in clinic for it this afternoon at my hospital so I'm going to pop along to that. But interested to hear about anyone whose had it already and how you were after?

I think it only started 1st September in England, just checked the October baby group on Facebook and I can only see one person who has had it so far and she said she feels fine after it! My midwife hasn't mentioned it to me yet but seeing them tomorrow so wonder if they will mention it then. You will have to let us know how it is!

Hoping to breastfeed but want to get formula just incase, we’ve picked up this formula and hope it’s a good one.

Just wondering when do you change the formula to the next one isit 6 months?

This is the one we’ve got

Well I had the vaccine early this afternoon, I didn't even feel the nurse doing it, and felt fine ever since, arm felt like it had a little bit of a dull ache shortly afterwards but barely noticeable and didn't last long. I'd absolutely recommend getting it if offered, they said they're going to offer to everyone from 28 weeks, but if you're quite far on like I am (38 weeks) it's really worth contacting your midwife or GP to ask for it instead of waiting.

I’m definitely enquiring about it next week at my midwife check. I’ve also already been booked in for flu vaccine. Is anyone here doing a private Strep B test?

Every single night when I get into bed and lay on my side I start getting Braxton hicks, every time without fail. I’m absolutely exhausted from the lack of sleep (for reference I go to bed at 9pm, fall asleep somewhere around 2am and I’m up usually up for a 13 hour shift at 5.30am) and I’ve got 2 weeks of night shifts coming up, anyone got any tried and tested recommendations to help me actually doze off?!
I’m 33 weeks 🙃

No advice but night shifts and 13 hour shifts should be a crime when you’re pregnant, so you have my sympathy

I don’t mind the nights but it’s the long days when I can’t sleep that are the hard part! I’m currently on postnatal ward (midwife) and I’m counting down the days until maternity leave at 36 weeks.

I had to go for a rescan at the hospital yesterday and they only started RSV vaccinations this week for those over 28 weeks. I've got a growth scan at 28+1 so I'll be having it then but I had my flu jab yesterday and chatted to the immunisation nurse about RSV specifically and I'll definitely be having it when I can!

Also will be keeping an eye out for COVID booster too - even though I had COVID 8 weeks ago, I'll still be having the booster!

I can be baby dependant. Don’t stock up too much to start and go for something you know you can source nearby easily.
The regulations around baby formula are so strict that they are all very similar unless specialist. Some may use fish or soy oil as their sources of large but that’s preference. Even organic formulas, the permitted levels of pesticides are very low anyway.
Regarding going up to follow on milks, it is 6 months and shouldn’t be given before but you don’t have to change. You can find offers on follow on milk you don’t get on first milk as there are laws around promotions and advertising first milk but nutritionally, they aren’t necessary.

I was like that with my first. Couldn't wait to get out of that damn hospital at 36 weeks and just stop for a little while...she was born the day after I went on maternity leave :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The midwife handed me a RSV leaflet and I’m definitely getting it. I need anti-d as well so I wonder if they’ll do it at the same appointment.

Anyone else become lactose intolerant during their pregnancy? I get so poorly after having dairy now!
