I’ve been awake since 1.30 just tossing and turning constantly. I have such a busy day today I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do it 😞pregnancy insomnia is awful

Another fully fledged member of the pregnancy insomnia club here. Between being too warm, Mr Brew snoring and not being able to get comfortable I don't think I actually slept.
Can anyone recommend a pregnancy pillow that supports the weight of bump? It feels like my bump just drags down as soon as I lie on my side, like a big old weight pulling on me. It's so uncomfortable isn't it.
I do have one of those cheaper big long sausage shaped pillows but I feel like it doesn't get in a position where it supports bump at all, barely even touches it.

Could you try a V pillow so it sort of goes between your legs and then cradles bump?

My bbhugme supported my bump, I could adjust the firmness to give the support I needed under bump but it’s the same shape as your current one so not sure if you’d get along with it! But yes, it’s really uncomfortable and feels like a massive effort to turn over when you’re so weighed down on one side! Even worse if you’re starting off from the side baby is lying on 😂

UTI pain has subsided a lot now! Got the opposite problem now as I can’t stop weeing from all the water I’ve drank 🙈 every time I lie down I wet myself, pregnancy is so glamorous

I think I might have to invest in a bbhugme. They look a lot more flexible than mine which doesn't really bend at all, and the fabric cover is a horrible scratchy material.

I don’t want to speak too soon because I know I’m about to jinx myself, but my sleep hasn’t actually been too bad so far. A few times I wake up and can’t get back to sleep, but generally I’m sleeping all night. Although still tossing and turning all night, switching sides but I haven’t even used a pillow yet. My hips were more painful at the beginning. I’m sure it’ll all hit me in the 3rd trimester!!

I got the bbhugme after @raspberryjuice spoke about it ages ago and I cant sleep without it now, I think being able to change the firmness of it is so helpful! I've had mine since March and it'll deffo be staying after I've had the baby haha.

A bit of a long shot but I’m 2 weeks post partum and still reading along with you guys as if I’m still pregnant - I was wondering if you guys would be up for me maybe making an off topic chatter thread in the chatter section so we can all stay in touch, as I’m starting to feel I should move on but like talking to you guys 🤣 anyone up for me making a thread?

Definitely. It’s such a lovely little group of people on here, I don’t want us all to separate at some point and we can’t lose you and raspberry 😂

Absolutely. This thread is the best little community and really has been a saviour for me at times when I just needed reassurance, advice or a place to vent or share silly moments. I'd be gutted to lose this community.

yes please! For obvious reasons I won’t be moving to the new baby thread when the babies are born, so would love somewhere to keep up with you guys and hear about your little ones ❤

I just need to let out a bit of word vomit I’m sorry.

TW mention of miscarriage
I’m almost 18 weeks with this baby. We had a miscarriage in December, some problems with retained product after this, and I fell pregnant on my next cycle.
Next month will be 6 months since we lost the baby.
July, baby would have been due.

This is such a bittersweet feeling, I’m incredibly grateful to be pregnant but I’m still grieving and hurting for what could have been. I’m actually worried I will resent this baby because of what happened, but I know I will love them with everything I have.

im the same, I do wake up but not normally for too long or just for one wee. I’m getting 9 hours a night but wake up feeling like I’ve not slept at all - so feeling for all you that are getting insomnia, I can’t imagine !

I had a miscarriage before I got pregnant with my eldest. The due date was a big thing to me, but once I got past that date I was able to focus on my subsequent pregnancy. There’s a lot of “what ifs” but I don’t think you will resent the baby. If you are finding it hard have you considered some therapy sessions?

I’ve burst into tears twice today for no apparent reason. My 3yo keeps asking “why are you sad mummy” and it’s making me feel so guilty 😭

I’m not sure if it’s just pregnancy exhaustion or a sign that something might happen soon?!

Thank you, I’ve had a lot of support at work and with the charities and bereavement midwives (3 losses between 2013-2018 and then this one), some days I think I’m functioning and others I need to completely break down.
I think you’re right about the due date. Part of me feels so guilty for being excited when this baby kicks, and we’ve had a few scares along the way and each time I’ve felt relieved to see the heartbeat flickering on the screen, and this baby is very very wanted and loved. Hard to be excited yet heartbroken at the same time I guess

I've seen some for a lot cheaper on Vinted, about half the price.

Anyone else suffering with third trimester nausea? Hating the fact there is no obvious triggers for mine :(
