We had loads of baby related deliveries yesterday and it's completely spun me out I didn't want to really acknowledge the pregnancy as real until past 20 weeks, even though it's my first, so being at 34 weeks feels very odd! The finish line feels so close yet so far at the same time. I'm more impressed I've gone about 30 weeks without any major caffeine (still eating choc and drinking decaff) intake than growing a whole human being

I’m 3 hours sitting in maternity waiting to be called for my appointment… I’m in Ireland and just wondering is it this bloody hectic elsewhere? Everyone being given the same appointment and basically first come first serve

I wouldn't plan to be in and out to be honest,luckily most of the app for me are with the GP but they're just as bad

This has just reminded me that the pram and car seat were delivered 2 weeks ago and I put them straight in the cupboard under the stairs and haven't looked at the boxes since It's so overwhelming when there's loads of baby things around the house!

Ahhhh work out how to use your pram before baby gets here ours has needed some repetitive movement to make it less stiff, otherwise shaking the bassinet with a baby inside.

Same with the car seat, we used a ring adapter initially to put it in the pram (don’t bother) and initially to get the adapter off had to turn the car seat upside down

I need to start learning how to put the car seat in I'm 37 weeks and have no clue. My husband and I have different ones for each car and his looks so complicated.

I’m expecting twins so I basically live between maternity and gp.. thankfully I’m finished work and have nothing else to do with my time off honestly don’t know how people with other children, especially younger kids, do it

I understand your frustration, I go mad waiting for literally two mins of a midwife or doctors time it's my first pregnancy as well so I don't know how they do it as your not suppose to bring children but I know people don't abide by that rule either

Induced today with Propess, allowed home thankfully. It was bloody sore getting that put in, and still feels uncomfortable when I am walking. Almost feels like a tampon that's not inserted properly. I've to phone the labour ward tonight regardless to let them know if I'm contracting or not so will run it past them as I'm unsure if it's normal. Can anyone advise? I think it might just be down to being irritated up there! Cervix still nowhere near ready despite being 10 days overdue. I want my baby out

Oh you poor thing! I didn’t know they would let you home after induction! I wish I knew more for you but I hope they make their arrival quickly xx

Yes I think if there is low risk then they send you home again. Much rather that than sitting waiting in the ward! Hopefully have my wee baby here by the weekend if not before

I'm in Scotland. Waited 2 hours for my booking appointment and that was with an appointment time

It’s bonkers. I was in there until 1:30 in the end… luckily that’s it for a couple weeks, all going as it should anyway

Can anyone recommend any high denier maternity tights? Need thicker ones as it's freaking freezing in Scotland already

19 weeks with my second, and food aversion with this second one is very strong. All I want to eat is cheese and butter and bread. A cooked vegetable or a salad makes me want to gag. I think this baby may come out with scurvy…

I bought low denier but H&M are good. Comfy and £6.99 for 2 pairs.
