oh I didn’t know that, I was 33 last time. Will ask the midwife when I next see her.

Oh guys! I checked my online pregnancy notes and I have a date for my section now, 19th October - so proper on countdown!!
Ooo that’s so soon!! How are you feeling about it? Did they tell you it’s the 19th or did it just appear?

It just appeared but I’m hoping I get a letter with more details this week including timings and pre-op etc. will keep you all updated 🤣

That’s so nonchalant 😆 you’re calmer than I’d be! online notes don’t work for me so hopefully letters arrive too.

I’ve just been so much less anxious overall as this is my second pregnancy than I was first time around. I’m just pleased to actually have a date now 🤣

Someone told me they sell all the display prams for cheap but you have to get in there early to reserve them, not sure how true that is!
I had a baby appointment at John Lewis and got 15% off a £1500 spend!
Ah well if it is true, I have an afternoon ticket anyway 🤣 I'll have a look at John Lewis though, thank you!

Anyone on here NOT experienced braxton hicks? I don't remember ever getting them in my first pregnancy either. Currently 36 weeks and don't think I've had any at all, feel like I've got FOMO 😂

Didn’t have any either in pregnancy 1. This one however, I’ve been in hospital twice (first at 29 weeks) thinking I’ve been in labour!!!! Intense doesn’t even cut it (apparently second pregnancy is much worse for them). You are not missing out 😂😂

I haven’t I’m almost 31 weeks though so don’t know if that’s too early for them!

Until last night, when it became more intense, I only knew I had it was because I’d felt my stomach at the moment it tightened - I wouldn’t have known otherwise. You may be having it but not realise.

Had a follow up scan today because they couldn’t get correct measurements at the last one; my two are already just misbehaving, both of them facing the wrong way today, would not stir after a can of lucozade and a 20 minute walk during the appointment but no worries they haven’t stopped moving around now 🫣 back again in 2 weeks to see a consultant just to be on safe side.. one of them also only has 2 vessel cord instead 3, nerves eating away now

Ooo that’s young, wow.
So from September 2025, it looks like we’ll get 30 hours a week free childcare, so good timing, us - well done 😆 I need to send an email tomorrow to book hisnursery space. Hope they don’t ask for a name - he’s stillnot got one.

At work we had an 8 week old who would do 8am-6pm 5 days a week while his parents worked. The parents missed the majority of his 'firsts' but we'd never let on that he'd began crawling etc while in our care. They received no help with childcare costs either and the mums wages only just covered the childcare costs so it completely baffled us as to why she returned to work.

I know, I need to enrol ours soon once we choose a nursery because will need it in from March and we don’t even know the gender let alone the name 🤣 will just have to put baby fudge!

that is really sad! I’m self employed so will unfortunately have to go back to work early, but that’s why I only want it in nursery 1 day a week just so I can get a full day in work, the other days it will come with me and be with my mum on one day!

I've started thinking about nurserys for March 2025 but will get my bum in gear after my 20 week scan next week. Haven't bought a single thing yet or started researching as a ftm because after a traumatic miscarriage my brain is being silly. But next week that's it I need to draw a line under my anxieties!

Also moan time... I had my flu and whooping cough jabs in both arms and basically had zero proper sleep as I couldn't sleep on my side or back without being in pain 😭
