What a bunch of mats, I've often travelled 2 hours for a baby shower for various family member or coworkers! It's just what you do.Blah. My sister has organised a baby shower for me and maybe I’m hormonal and over emotional but my family are moaning or saying they’re not coming because it’s not “local enough”. It’s 3 miles away, a 13 minute drive according to Google. My sister is organising and coming from over an hour away.
I’ve even offered those who don’t drive a lift home. Silence. So I sent a message yesterday evening that I get quite hurt that it was being treated as an inconvenience. What I really wanted to say in my moment of rage was if you cba coming to the baby shower don’t bother coming around when babies here, but I realise I was being extra and dramatic and refrained. Nobody has even bothered to reply to the message.
I just feel like I’ve been the family member always running around visiting people, arranging get togethers and phoning everyone all the time and nobody can be arsed to make the 13 minute journey for this, it bloody hurts.

100% agree with the not having a baby shower, I’ve said from the moment I got pregnant I don’t want one much to my friend’s disappointed! Again, hate the attention on me, might have a little get together when baby is here but no I don’t wanna be centre of the attention!

Had another midwife’s today, I see them more than I see members of my family I swear 
Got my results back about the diabetes, the results were normal again!
Lots of talk about not going past 40 weeks due to size of baby and cos I’ve got glucose still in my wee, they said either being induced or c section
After the appointment I came home and cried, not because I feel sad, just because there’s lot of decisions and options to think about soon as I’m 34 weeks today, feels like 40 weeks is around the corner

thanks all for the comments re the shower! I honestly wasn’t arsed about having one in the first place but it’s so rare my family are all together I thought it would be the perfect excuse for everyone to be together but apparently not. Ah well what can You do eh!!
Quick query as not sure if I should be worried or not! Has anyone suffered with stomach cramping in the upper stomach around 22 weeks? It is not constant but was just a few times during the night.. some people are saying it’s normal and some are not. So I’m unsure

this is what my niece said! Apparently Brixton hicks can start from 22 weeks so it’s hard to know! My stomach did go quite hard though and now it’s notI’m 23 weeks and had a few things going on lately! I think cramping can be completely normal but if you’re worried you could always ask your midwife

We had our nuna bundle delivered from John Lewis a few days ago! They do 3 types of car seat in the bundle now, the pipa next which is the more standard car seat which we have gone for. Or you can get it with the Arra lie flat or the Cari bassinet style car seat!I really want it, they’ve got a good bundle on John Lewis where you get the car seat and spinny iso fix basegoing to see if I get time to look at it on the weekend! I do actually have a whole travel system but I don’t like it

Aldis event also have some of their stuff but not sure how the price compares!
I haven’t looked at them myself but my friend said St John’s ambulance have online videos on baby first aid.
