Haha I love them. I still buy them when they’re on offer 😁 I’m 7+2 was in the old thread but just been lurking on this one!

Gahh so frustrating - it’s so strange how different the care is based on where you are?! Is it your first baby? Hopefully they’ll be better after your 12 week scan 🤞🏼

That sounds so rubbish, sorry you’re suffering 😔 it was so comprehensive - basically got asked loads of questions about medical history, personal situation, preferences for hospital to give birth in (lol I had absolutely no idea and just randomly picked one), height/weight, took loads of blood (like 4 vials of it?!) and a urine sample. OH and also booked my phone cal for 16 weeks. Pretty surprised they did all this as I’m only 7 weeks and everything seems so so far away!
Are you close to other hospitals?
I've never been given a choice haha 😂

Hi little pup,

I can’t be too sure of dates as I come of my pill 8 weeks ago and haven’t had a period! I have been doing regular pregnancy tests though and the first positive I got was 2 weeks ago! So I think I’m literally only around 4-5 weeks but this is worked out from time of conception as the clear blue I took this morning said 1-2 weeks.
Thanks for your reply ❤ Xxx
Can’t remember but have you had a scan to see if there is an intrauterine pregnancy? As that would rule out an ectopic.

Question of the day: do you find boys or girls names easier?

We find boys names so easy and girls names impossible. It will be a serious struggle if these twins are two girls.
Opposite for us - we have already decided on a girl name but boys are really difficult! Has anyone got any good suggestions for websites for name inspiration?

Well, we talked this up. Partner has just been advised he has to isolate, work-mate has tested positive 😢😢
I don’t even want to think about it him having it, or subsequently me.
He can’t come to the ECV tomorrow.
I’ll be 38+4 by the time he’s allowed out of isolation supposing no other work mates develop symptoms.
Mum was in the supermarket yesterday, I just hope to God she doesn’t get a notification too.
Let’s just hope she doesn’t come any time soon!
Aw I'm sorry! It's so scary!
Is this your first?

Insomnia, tell me about it! Woke up at half midnight and was wide awake til half 4. Then husband gets up at 6 to go to work and he’s developed this incredibly irritating habit of putting the radio on when he gets up, I had to tell him off as then he thoroughly woke me up too when it’s my day off!! 😖
Argh - so annoying!! Feel your pain! I’ve tried everything - nothing works so assume it’s hormones/ progesterone related. I used to get it right before my period but at least then it was only one night, not every night! Could be worse I suppose...

Fingers crossed for you!
How far are you now?

I’m alright - getting a lot of crampy pain but I think it’s constipation 😫 took my eye off the ball recently with eating plenty of fruit etc. Going to force some fybogel down myself until the Tesco shop arrives 🤮

How’s everyone doing today?

I was late for work cause I was puuuuking.
Pregnancy sickness is rough!! 😞

Has anyone got group B strep? Or had it in previous pregnancies?
did the antibiotics manage to stop it from being transferred to baby? Also, is it something I’ve got for life?

I had my blood tests done at 7 weeks 🤷‍♀️ They called me with the results yesterday (only flagging that I had low iron but obviously had a minor panic when they called haha). It is so odd why all trusts seem to vary so much!

While we’re on the topic of elective c-sections, when I had my first baby I had a pre-eclampsia and ended up having a 3rd degree tear and lost around 2.5l of blood. I don’t remember any of my birth or the 24hrs afterwards, I don’t remember holding my baby for the first time or any of that, so only know anything from my partner. It was a really traumatic time for everyone, especially my partner who can’t watch anyone give birth on tv now because it brings back really crap memories for him. I was wondering what my chances of having a c-section actually are? I’m so worried I’m going to have to go through all that again now I’m pregnant again. I really don’t want to have to give birth naturally again

Hi guys, not sure I’m posting on the right thread but hopefully someone can help me 😅 have any of you had experience with implantation bleeding? If so what was it like? I thought I was coming on 2 days before my period was due as had pinky discharge. Lasted 2 days then stopped for a day, tiny bit of pinky discharge today but not much. Not sure if it’s implantation or if AF is being weird and gonna kick me in the ass in the next couple days just later than normal 😂
Hi, my implantation bleeding wasn't until around 6 weeks of pregnancy. However, that's exactly what it was. Some pinkish bleeding that then turned brown.
If your period is already due, then I'd just test anyway 😊 should certainly get a result

My only thing that was my actual concern is the blood loss.
I had the same, and lost a lot of blood and I thought that would be their reason for not saying yes to a csection. But apparently isn't a concern as they put a drip in your hand straight away as soon as you go in to the hospital whether that be in labour or for a csection.

I think it's all down to the hospitals as well as usually, a 3rd degree tear, they will agree to an elective csection however that doesn't seem to be the case for me! 😑😂

Oh yes encapsulation of placenta... thoughts? Is it just some strange fad or is it actually a thing done by more people than just celebrities?
It's mainly a fad I believe. I've seen a doctor talking about it before and it's a complete waste of time

I don’t think this is a COVID thing though, this was the case before COVID too.
Yeah this was the case 3 years ago with my second, she was born at 9pm and as soon as I was sorted out and stitched up ect and moved, he had to leave so only had about 2 hours.
Although he was allowed back at 9am the next day until we went home at 5

Suggestions for cribs/bassinets/ moses baskets that aren't ugly?

Is it too much to ask for that the baby's bed looks nice in my room and not some ugly net contraption? 😂
